Well as always this summer Arsenal have been linked with many players throughout the world, but
today I have set out to create a post about the realistic players who could come to Arsenal and the
likely hood we will sign them.
Starting from defence and working up the field you can see the players below, (Please note
the word realistic because we have been linked with many players around the field and I'm only
showing as the word suggest real transfer prospects.
CESC FABREGAS has pleaded with boss Arsene Wenger to sign a midfield hardman.
Arsenal skipper Fabregas misses tough-tackling Mathieu Flamini who quit the Gunners last summer
for AC Milan and has not been replaced.
So after a long week of Melo will sign and Melo won't it appears now conclusively that Juve have
struck a deal and Arsenal can't financially and won't match it. So this leaves the door open for
the question who will we attempt to sign now, after our main target has moved.. I shall
discuss:
Blaise Matuidi
This transfers seems to be done on the evidence of things; he is apparently in England,
according to Sky Sports news and his current club St Etienne have signed Fernande's from Man City
(Central Defensive Midfielder) and appear to be looking for another defensive minded player, from
Greece somewhere.
Hi everyone hope you've had good weeks up to this point and will be looking forward to the
Celtic game tonight to probably see a few young guns in action.
But what has caught my eye today is a few journalists predicting Arsenal to be in action on
transfer deadline day and throughout the week prior to it, I'll explain:
The Dail Mirror's Football Spy
From his insider knowledge or it could be what he just made up he is predicting 2 Arsenal moves
in the last week of the transfer window:
Blaise Matuidi
This story has ran for ages and you all know who he is by now so I won't bother with huge
details but he's a Defenesive Midfielder with a great talent.
It has been reported in various newspapers today and web columns (especially on the Daily Mail)
that Arsene Wenger will finally make his interest in Brazilian star Felipe Melo de Carvalho,
currently of Fiorentina in the form of a bid.
Arsene Wenger has tracked the star for about 3 years now and lost out last season to Fiorentina
who signed the Brazil international for £10 million euros from Almeria the Spanish side.
Good morning to everyone reading this post (or should I say good day if you are reading it after
12:00). There have been many rumours and gossip flying around today though a few appear to be
substantial, which is quite good. I will digress:
Blaise Matuidi
Many of the morning's papers and various other media have been reporting that Blaise Matuidi is
to sign for Arsenal for a fee ranging from £2.
Friendly match: Barnet FC vs Arsenal FC 2:2. Match highlights.
Goals from: Arshavin and Barazite
A good game yesterday and although the score is big it could of been even more if a few shots
had been on target anyaway, here was the action:
Report
Arsene Wenger's men made sure of victory as they were 3-1 up at the interval thanks to a
brace from Nicklas Bendtner (36 & 44) and an Aaron Ramsey (39) strike.
Yesterday I watched the match between Crystal Palace and Man City on Sky Sports 1 and throughout
the 1st half and glimpses in the second Palace held their own and in the 1st half had 5 shots on
target 4 more than Man City.
But one player caught my attention through the match and this was Palace's Victor Moses.
Well before I start I've got a lot two get through. So this might take a while!
£15 million bid for Melo
According to "News of the World" and the "Daily Mirror" Arsenal have made a £15 million bid for
Brazil and Fiorentina's defensive midfield player, as I already discussed a few days earlier to
this post.
Well what a dissapointing end to a good start! Typical Arsenal; control the game and then score
but don't take advantage, by scoring another goal when on top. Then stupidity from Almunia allows
an equaliser, then I'm not even gonna try to explain Diaby's actions. What was he thinking?
Although Almunia was to blame again, he should of collected the ball from the cross.
Now before you read this you will be either scratching your head and thinking hmm or .. will be
banging your head thinking we nearly signed De Rossi.
This morning on Wikipedia Daniel De Rossi's page was chanegd from Roma player to Arsenal. Yes
your thinking no big deal but WAIT.
Then for 10 15 minutes Arsenal.
Today has been quite a day for news stories reporting Arsenal FC; there has been transfer news,
Wenger's quote's about various issues and stupid newspaper columnists sledging us over and over
again. But let's calm down.
News reports on Huntelaar
It has been clear knowledge for a day now that Huntelaar is not keen on a mover to Stuggart even
though Real have agreed a fee.
One Word: Gutted.
Adebayor is a complete idiot and has just confirmed why we sold him, at least Toure was decent
enough to play properly. Adebayor clarly stamped on Van Persie and Robin has accused him of this,
this evening with Sky Sports News reporting it at around 9:00pm.
It has been announced today in "The Guardian" newspaper that Real Madrid have sent a fax to many
premier league clubs telling them of Real Madrid players up for sale. Within this list is Klaas-Jan
Huntelaar who has been linked with Arsenal for a while and if and I say if Adebayor is sold then he
could definitely be a worth while (and in my opinion better) replacement.
Emmanuel Adebayor has passed a medical and will move to Manchester City once his work
permit is approved.
The Togo striker, who has spent three-and-a-half seasons at Arsenal, is believed to be valued at
£25m.
The 25-year-old, who scored 16 times for the Gunners last season, has also been linked to AC
Milan and Chelsea.
The weird colours at the start go away about after 5 seconds! Goals from Arshavin in the 86th
minute and 90th.
There have been various reports in the press this morning over a few of Arsenal's transfer
dealings, as i shall tell you about below:
Marouane Chamakh
The Daily Mirror reports that Arsene will make a final move for the Moroccan international after
his £5 million bid was rejected earlier this summer, they report the bid will be around £8.
Robin Van Persie turned down potential mega offers from Chelsea, Manchester City, Inter Milan
and Juventus before signing his new four-year deal with Arsenal.
Chelsea manager Carlo Ancelotti is a long-time admirer of the 25-year-old Dutch striker and a
move to Arsenal's local rivals would have meant Van Persie did not need to uproot his family from
their London home.
Emmanuel Adebayor has been offered to AC and Inter Milan – to stop him from being sold to
Chelsea.
Arsenal are determined to auction off Adebayor this summer and have hired agents to try to
strike a £25million deal.
But Gunners boss Arsene Wenger fears that the Milan giants have lost interest in the 25-year-old
after his disappointing season.
Sunday's papers is awash with loads of transfer news this morning which hasn't been the norm for
quite a time now; I will digress.
Eboue to Fiorentina
I haven't posted this story on Arsenal-highlights this week because I was unsure of it's roots
but it seems now that there is firm proof that Fiorentina among other clubs will bid for Eboue,
although personally I can't deem it to be the £8 million which the media have reported.
Hello everyone, you may be thinking where am I coming from with the headline, after the
devastating loss to Manchester United on Saturday but you have to look at things in a rounded way
as I shall explain below:
The Loss versus Man United
Yes firstl;y we lost the game and probably should and deserved to win it, but let's not dwell on
that.
The news coming out of Fiorentina today is that Arsenal have until Friday to finalise a deal if
they wish to sign Felipe Melo from them. Juventus talks have collapsed after Marco Marchionni's
refused to sign for Fiorentina on the deal they offered him. To add to this Fiorentina's supporters
staged a protest that one of their best players was being sold to a bitter rival, consequently
with this in mind Fiorentina want to sell to Arsenal and have set a Friday deadline date.
Good news for hopeful Arsenal fans; Portsmouth have accepted a bid for Peter Crouch from
Tottenham Source Sky Sports. This must surely mean that Redknapp has ruled himself out of signing
Huntelaar which could be a major breakthrough in our so called attempts to sign him.
With no other known competition Wenger now may be much more inclined to make a bid and sign
him.
The Sun and a variety of other newspapers this morning are reporting a huge story for many
Arsenal fans. Arsene Wenger has apparently matches spurs offer to the 33 year old; A one year
contract with many bonuses although he shall have to take a pay cut from £80,000 a week to a much
lower salary.
Wenger needs to bring in experienced players after Toure departed and we lost so many two
seasons back but he believes Patrick Viera could do a great job for us.
A great day for Arsenal and especially 17 year old Jack Wilshere who scored a brace as well as
Eduardo with another clinical finish!
REMEMBER:
THIS YEAR ARSENAL-HIGHLIGHTS.CO.UK HAS A FANTASY LEAGUE RUNNING:
YOU CAN FIND IT AT: http://www.
WINNERS! ROBBIE KEANE PLUS TOTTENHAM EQUAL LOSERS!!!
Well we start the campaign with a tough fixture at Everton away, but maybe it's better
to get it out the way with? I think everyone would of preferred a home draw though.
I'm sorry but for legal reason we're not allowed to shwow on this site the full fixtures
but you can see them by clicking here
Adebayor has had his work permit in Manchester approved as his £25 million pound move edges
ever closer. I am still left biting my nails until this goes through because £25 million is such a
great amount of money that we could acquire some good good players with. The deal was due to be
finished today but now should be concluded by tomorrow, hopefully so we don't have to wait until
Man City's pre-season tour to South Africa is over.
What an opener! In my wildest dreams I didn't expect us to whack in 6 v Everton. I'm super happy
even though I had a rubbish day of personal sport behind me, but I won't bore you with that.
Here's the highlights, I will find an improved quality version as soon as possible but that's it
for now:

Barcelona president Joan Laporta came out with the most idiotic phrase ever yesterday as the
saga of Fabregas leaving continues. BORING.
Anyway this is what he had to say with the bold line showing his total stupidity:
"If they are interested in selling, we are interested in buying but if not, then we will look to
Fabregas.
Arsenal defender Philippe Senderos is reported to have agreed a switch to Everton.
The Swiss centre-half has slipped down the pecking order at Emirates Stadium in recent times,
and spent the 2008/09 season on loan at AC Milan.
Despite the Gunners having offloaded Kolo Toure to Manchester City this summer,Arsene
Wenger has moved to snap upThomas Vermaelen from Ajax.
Today has been a big day for Arsenal; We are to face Celtic in Champions league qualifying which
as "harregas the gooner" said on the post below is very ironic and many transfer stories have
stated prevailing in the last few hours, so the papers should be full of them tomorrow.
Arsenal to up Chamakh bid
The Daily Mail is saying Wenger will up his bid for the Moroccan forward to £7.
Arsene Wenger has made a fresh move for St Etienne midfielder Blaise Matuidi after fearing Cesc
Fabregas is facing an injury lay-off.
Arsenal captain Fabregas, 22, faces a race to be fit for Saturday's trip to Manchester United
and could be out for up to three weeks with a hamstring injury.
If you haven't bought your Arsenal replica kit's yet or any other football side you support the
UK Soccer Shop can have you kitted out for your team in no time!
They stock all the new Arsenal kits as well as retro shirts and training clothing in the Arsenal
section of the site, as well as many other sides.
Hello people, hopefully you will have a good Bank Holiday Monday and spend it wisely.
Not that much on transfer gossip this morning apart from what was said yesterday about Chamakh
and Viera. One small bit about Blaise Matuidi and how St Etienne want £8 million and how Wenger
will not pay that, but that's a very small story in the general scheme of things.
Good times lay ahead, we know that anyway. But.... Good times could be 99% assured this
season should we sign two players this January. I know it is a while off January at this time
but I'm sure Wenger is already looking ahead so shy shouldn't we. I'm not gonna mention the papers
because as soon as the window shuts they are looking for the next window moves, but anyway.
Well I'm back from two weeks in 35 degree Cyprus Could of done with a bit more.
Well much has gone on since Ive been away and I would like first of all to thank Harregas the
gooner to keep you all updated.
Adebayor
First of all it appeared he was out after Ac Milan couldn't get Dzeko from Wolfsburg so they sad
Ade was second and a bid appeared to be coming.
Over the past week various newspapers have reported that Toure was closing in on a move to Man
City. Until this morning I haven't reported it because I believed it to be mostly papers eyeing up
stories but this morning 4 or 5 papers some across the web have reported the story all saying a
£15 million fee has been arranged with personal terms of around £120,000 a week for Kolo.
Kolo Toure is having a medical in Manchester City hospital (excuse me if that is not the proper
name) after pictures of him arriving were shown on Sky Sports news.
Skysports.com understands that Toure has agreed a four-year deal with the Eastlands
club and his signing could be confirmed within the next 24 hours, or even today if the medical is
swift.
