Arsene Wenger agreed a £10million deal for Ajax centre-back Thomas Vermaelen yesterday but is still unsure about who will partner him at the heart of Arsenal's defence next season.

Though his agent Soren Lerby was still negotiating personal terms last night, Vermaelen seems certain to sign a four-year contract at The Emirates after convincing the Arsenal manager he has the credentials to shore up a defence that was repeatedly found wanting last season.

Hello people hope you all are having good days without any Arsenal news because it has been very boring for a few days on the Arsenal front, due to the international breaks no doubt. But before I go into that there is some positive news regarding Walcott:

The official website has said he is due to back after this weeks international break versus Croatia but in my opinion I doubt he will figure against Man City, seeming the importance of the game and risking him would not be worth it.

I can tell you exactly what will happen next season. Take a look…

I love the smell of polyester in the morning Well, I say 'his'. It does look a tad on the small side so perhaps he stole his little brother's Emmanuel Adebayor shirt and burnt that instead! I have to say I'm quite liking Arsenal's current situation; the team is playign really well and everyone off the bench also fits in exceptionally, which is great and the first time I believe this in a while! To add to this the media are not rating us this may be a bit down heartening for the players but there is currently no pressure on them, unlike Chelsea Man Utd and Liverpool.
