For many people the low point of this season was the 8-2 at Old Trafford. And I get that completely. It was embarrassing but, you know, it was a freak. A one off. Something that's never likely to happen again and entirely down to the fact that the manager took off the Coq. Without him we had no penetration, no balls and as a team we went flaccid without him to keep us stiff in the middle of the park.

When Arsene Wenger spoke about the need to add consistency to our game, like most of you I thought about a sequence of results and performances which would win points for the football club. I'm pretty sure that he did too, looking to add to the midweek draw and the win against Swansea last weekend.

Today the football returns and we've got Blackburn Rovers at home. Team news is that van Persie and Bendtner are fit and will join returnees Cesc, Theo, Diaby and Song, so that's good news. Aaron Ramsey misses out because of a troublesome groin but every silver lining has a cloud and as clouds go that's not the worst of them.
