Arsenal chief executive Ivan Gazidis is due to meet with around 300 Arsenal Supporters' Trust
(AST) members at Emirates Stadium this week and it looks like from the questions submitted by AST
members, that Gazidis will be on the hot seat.
According to the AST web site, Arsenal and Gazidis have agreed to cover the following
topics:
- The club's footballing expectations for this coming season, 2012/2013, and whether qualifying
for the Champions League is the extent of the club's ambitions
- The new Elite Player Performance Plans being introduced and what this will mean for youth
development at Arsenal
- The future of the Arsenal Fanshare scheme and club support to promote continued plurality in
the ownership through supporter shareholders
- What progress Ivan Gazidis feels has been made in his first three years at the club and an
update on the club's five year strategic plan
- What lessons have been learned from last summer's transfer window to make sure things go more
smoothly and successfully this year, and the position regarding Robin van Persie
- How the club will drive commercial income aggressively in the short term given the long-terms
tie-ins on stadium naming, kit rights and shirt sponsorship and the need for more tertiary and
overseas deals
- The club's view of Financial Fair Play regulations and what plans we have should they have
little impact
- Given that Arsenal now has two billionaire investors owning over 96% of the club, is there a
case for them investing funds to put us on a competitive footing before FFP starts to bite?
AST Meeting With Ivan Gazidis – By JG Oh joy, the Arsenal Supporters Trust will be having their
annual Q&A with Ivan Gazidis and the board this coming Wednesday at the Emirates at 7:00pm. Last
years meeting turned up to be a load of nonsense, the questions Gazidis was asked were for the most
part [.
ARSENAL shareholder Alisher Usmanov has splashed some of his considerable cash on a new luxury
yacht...no doubt tempting Gooners to dream about the money he could fork out on players.
Usmanov has, it is being reported, handed over some £65million on the craft, which includes a
swimming pool, a helicopter pad, a gym, a luxury dining room and cabins for 20 guests.
350 members of various Arsenal supporters' organisations and shareholders will attend a Q&A
evening with the club's CEO Ivan Gazidis in the north end of the stadium's Club Level next
Wednesday evening, after Coldplay have packed up and moved on to their next venue. At this time of
year, since before the move to the new stadium, such an event has been organised by the Arsenal
Supporters Trust for their members.
Lieutenant-Colonel Richard DidIt DSO and Bar, otherwise known as My Great Uncle Dick DidIt, was
far from the hero his gongs would imply. The reality is that the man was simply a massive Con
Artist, or what we refer to these days as a Salesman. History is littered with such rogues. Stan
Flashman, Gerald Ratner and Harry Redknapp all spring to mind.

With slightly less than a month to go until the start of the 2012 European Championships, it's
time for us to kick off our previews of the sixteen nations that will be competing at this summer's
tournament in Poland and Ukraine. We're doing this in order of the groups drawn, so we'll start
with everything you probably don't need to know about one of this summer's co-hosts, Poland.
With the Mayoral elections over, concerns have switched to the next big polls. This week,
Arsenalinsider has been placed alongside some of the most popular blogs out there, as epltalk.com
nominates the site for best club blog award during the 2011/12 season. By Just skimming over the
other nominations, it's apparent that Arsenal FC blogs dominate the list, evidence that Insider is
able to mix it in a competative circle.
With Arsenal dropping another two points in a 1-1 draw at Stoke on Saturday, they dodged a major
bullet when Newcastle was humbled 4-0 at Wigan. If Newcastle had won, like most fans expected,
they'd be just one point behind the Gunners for third place with a game in hand. A win over Stoke
might have sealed third spot by giving them a seven-point lead.

Ian Dury and The Blockheads' famous song ‘Sex and Drugs and Rock ‘N' Roll' is often on my
mind when something exciting happens in my life. The lyrics of this song are rubbish, but the title
is very strong as it captures in a few words those diversions that provide us with a lot of
pleasure in our lives that help us to relieve our worries, fears and occasional boredom, a lot.

Is it possible to like someone who hurts you?
Of course it is, otherwise we would all be divorced.
Nasty old Roberto Martinez hurt us badly on Monday night. He got his Wigan team to play so well
against us that – heaven forfend – they may have cost us the three points that guarantee
Champions League football next season, depending on how our remaining fixtures go.

When it comes to Arsene Wenger, Arsenal supporters should realize the camp is definitely divided
into two solid factions. There are those who simply love this guy and feel he can do no wrong
whatever he does and those who are feel exactly the opposite. Whatever side of the fence you're on,
the recent comments made by Peter Hill-Wood are either going to sound like music to your ears or a
broken record.
Oooh Samir Nasri certainly knows how to annoy Arsenal fans and he has now bet the sum of £10,000
that he will lift a trophy with Manchester City before Arsenal win anything. Na$ri came in for a
lot of stick from Arsenal supporters during this weekends game against City, and the famous Arsenal
fan Piers [.
The 2012-13 Arsenal home shirt was leaked yesterday and no matter how you look at it, you cannot
avoid the obvious fact: it looks like it belongs to Manchester United. More specifically the
2010-11 away jersey.
Perhaps this is a new strategy for Arsenal seeking a bit of luck in claiming their first piece
of silverware since 2005.
It would appear Arsenal striker Marouane Chamakh has even more reason to stay away from fellow
Moroccan Adel Taarabt.
For gloating Taarabt has taken to Twitter to throw a jibe at Gooners after the defeat to QPR and
revel in his previous associaton with Tottenham.
Chamakh tested his relationship with Arsene Wenger at the weekend when he, along with Taarabt,
was photographed holding a shisha pipe following the 2-1 loss to Rangers.
Two Arsenal fans have been banned from football matches for an altercation with police at the
Emirates which was prompted by the fact they were standing during the game.
It is fair to say there was more to the incident at the home game against Manchester United than
simply the fact that they wouldn't sit down and you can read a full report here.

Arsenal's summer signing Andre Santos has revealed that he has been thrilled with the treatment
he has received from everyone at the club and has chosen the Gunners faithful for special praise
after recently returning from a long injury spell.
Brazil international Santos, signed from Fenerbahce seven months ago, briefly showed glimpses of
his talent before being sidelined towards the end of 2011.
Hic! Henry Norris is the rather squiffy football correspondent of the Bugle
newspaper and an ardent Arsenal supporter to boot. Each week he'll join us here at

the bottle early!

Your mission Arsenal, should you choose to accept it, is to beat AC Milan by five clear
goals.
On the face of it as tough a task as swimming the English Channel with a piano on your back.
No chance! Scream the pundits. Even the hardiest and most optimistic of Arsenal supporters have
their secret doubts.
Fantasy Premier League managers (and Arsenal supporters) have been dreading those 3 words all
season, "RVP is injured." And their worst nightmare is potentially here. Van Persie, far and away
the Premier League's best striker this season (and perhaps the ... Continue reading →
In hindsight, there may not be too many similarities between Juventus and Arsenal. Yet, in less
than three months, the Italian outfit can possibly replicate the Gunners' proudest achievement: an
unbeaten season.
Currently, there are 14 matches separating Juve from that moment of glory. And as the club's
wary supporters will be quick to remind, a string of draws will not be sufficient.
Ah, the local derby. That one time in the year when we are permitted to drop many of the
vestiges of being civilised people and devolve back to our cave-dwelling, territorial roots. It's a
day for eyes to twitch, the rational to become irrational, for the stories of injustices of days
gone by to be reheated and passed on to new generations.
What would happen if Mr Wenger were to leave Arsenal?
By Tony Attwood
There is a general assumption from many people who class themselves as Arsenal supporters that
things would immediately improve if the manager were to go and as we all know, this sometimes
happens with clubs who get rid of the boss.
This week, American businessman, billionaire, and possible future owner of the Los Angeles
Dodgers Stan Kroenke flew into London in order to publicly express his full support of Arsene
Wenger. Arsenal's board of directors has had some interesting topics to discuss, which include, but
are certainly not limited to: Robin van Persie's future with the club, Arsene Wenger's future with
the club, and the monies to be spent this coming summer all of which impact public perception of
Wenger in one way or another.

Recently the Arsenal Supporters Trust issued a three page document in which they took a look at
Arsenal's books and posed a few questions based on their analysis. I'd advise readers to have a
look at that document before continuing, seeing as my article is looking at parts of their work,
though [.
Reading all these stories coming out the Arsenal Supporters' Trust meeting last night that
Arsene Wenger has a £50millon transfer kitty. That is not really true. Yes Arsenal made around
£50millon profit, but not qualifying for the Champions League will cost the club £45millon,
wiping out the cash balance.
They've been squabbling like fury on Twitter for some time now...so I asked Harry Hill and there
is only one way to sort out their disputes...FIGHT! That would seem the obvious conclusion for
Arsenal midfielder Emmanuel Frimpong and celebrity Gooner Piers Morgan and the heated tweets
between the pair would appear to back this up.

After being dumped out of the FA Cup, Arsenal coach Arsene Wenger has revealed that his major
goal now remains to finish the season in a top four spot. The Gunners 4-0 loss to Milan in midweek
European action seems to have really knocked the wind out of their sails and probably did more
damage to Wenger's chances or remaining as coach beyond this season.

About four years ago a number of Arsenal supporters began to be concerned about what we saw as
[.
Thierry Henry came off the bench in his last Premier League appearance for Arsenal this year and
capped the occasion off in perfect style with a late stoppage time goal that wrapped up all three
points for the Gunners.
In a toughly contested match at the Stadium of Light, James McLean opened the scoring for
Sunderland 25 minutes into the second half, when he capitalized on Per Mertesacker's slip to guide
the ball past Wojciech Szczesny from an acute angle.
Real Madrid wants Robin Van Persie. Look at my face: I am not happy right now.
Rather than just writing one opinion piece, I typically try to gather as much information from
around the World Wide Web and condense it with my own commentary added. This week we've got Real
Madrid pursuing Van Persie, Mourinho gunning for Arsene's job, Kieran Gibbs returns from a long
layoff to strengthen the defense, and a hobbled Jack Wilshere all torn up about England's national
team losing its coach just months before the Euro 2012.
There appears to be a split amongst Gooners at the moment that an Olympic gymnast would be very
proud of.
So when I pose the question; is Tomas Rosicky worth a new contract at Arsenal? I expect many
differences of opinion.
In the past Tomas has frustrated me. Not because I think he is a bad player but because during his
time at the club he has spent at least 78% of it in the physio room.
What a load of rubbish! Arsenal supporters are planning to put black bin-bags over empty seats
during Saturday's match against Blackburn to highlight dwindling attendances at the Emirates. One
point from their last four games has seen the Gunners drop to seventh in the table. A protest group
is now aiming to draw attention to [.
Arsenal supporters are becoming increasingly frustrated at the club's recent failure to compete
for major honours in the past 7 years.
The ‘so near yet so far' statement could not ring more true than it does for the Gunners and
the fans are starting to lose patience.
The poisonous atmosphere that has swept across the Emirates Stadium in back-to-back games
against Manchester United and Aston Villa must be a worry to both the manager and the board.
