Goal.com is once again reporting who the major clubs should purchase during the upcoming
transfer window. So far they have analyzed Manchester United,
Chelsea, Arsenal and Liverpool. The links are

Premier League teams combined to spend £70.
According to David Woods at the Daily Star, Arsenal has money to spend this
January but it is up to boss Arsene Wenger whether the club buys anyone. Chairman
Peter Hill-Wood said,
"We have got a lot of money available to spend – money's not the restriction.
According to Adam Scime at Goal.com, Affaritaliani.it is reporting that AC
Milan are tracking Arsenal goalkeeper Vito
Mannone.
According to Simone Bargellini at Sky Sports News, CSKA Moscow midfielder
Milos Krasic has drawn interest from Manchester United,
Manchester City, Arsenal, and Chelsea. His agent
Dejan Joksimovic told Calciomercato,
"I think that if Krasic leaves CSKA in January, he is 90 per cent likely to go to England .
According to ESPN Soccernet, Bordeaux president Jean-Louis
Triaud stated that selling striker Marouane Chamakh, who has been linked
with Arsenal, is out of the question. He told L'Equipe,
"I don't have any information on the subject .
According to Scott Burns at the Daily Express, Celtic boss Tony
Mowbray would like to acquire 17-year-old Arsenal midfielder Jack
Wilshere on loan for six months. Assistant Mark Venus is reported to have
watched Wilshere recently against the Aston Villa reserve team.

Arsene Wenger admitted that he will be looking to purchase someone, most likely to
replace injured striker Robin Van Persie. Wenger said,

Moscow midfielder Milos Krasic will not be going anywhere in January. His

According to the Daily Mail, Toulouse want £12million for striker
Andre-Pierre Gignac. Gignac has been linked with Arsenal as
Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger is searching for a new striker to replace the injured
Robin Van Persie.
According to Steve Stammers at Sky Sports News, Arsenal boss Arsene
Wenger is considering making a £15million bid for West Ham United
striker Carlton Cole.
According to Sky Sports News, Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger likes
Wolfsburg striker Edin Dzeko but admits his price is too high. He
said,
"I like the player ... But they fly too high right now - price-wise."
Wenger also admitted that Bordeaux striker Marouane Chamakh is
not available.

According to Pa Sports at MirrorFootball, Arsenal boss Arsene
Wenger will consider loaning out midfielder Jack Wilshere if the right
opportunity arrives. Wenger said,
"There is a chance [for a loan], if we have an interesting opportunity .
According to Arsenal's official website, Arsenal striker Carlos
Vela signed a new long-term contract with the club.
According to Elliot Ball at Sky Sports News, billionaire Alisher Usmanov
purchased more Arsenal shares to increase his stake 26.07%.
Stan Kroenke currently owns 29.9% of the Arsenal shares after purchasing a
bunch of shares last month.
According to the Daily Mail, Sevilla slapped a high price on Manchester
City target Diego Perotti. Perotti signed an extension with the club that
includes a buy-out clause worth £43.5million.
Arsenal and Real Madrid have also been linked with the
winger.

in signing Arsenal starlet Jack Wilshere on loan. Reading manager
Brendan Rodgers said,

Arsenal defender Philippe Senderos. Bayern are prepared to make
an offer of £1million for Senderos, who is still eligible to play in the Champions League because
he did not participate in any of Arsenal's matches.

20-year-old Osasuna defender Cesar Azpilicueta that was
rejected.

Emmanuel-Thomas signed a new long-term contract with the club.

Wenger admitted that midfielder Jack Wilshere could join
Burnley on loan as the club has shown interest. Wenger said,
"My response [to Coyle] is that it is possible under the condition that he plays .
According to James Olley at the London Evening Standard, Arsenal shareholder
Stan Kroenke purchased 25 more Arsenal shares at £8,500/each last week.
With this purchase Kroenke is only 17 shares away from owning 30% of the club, which will
require him to make an offer for all the shares.
UPDATE: According to Sky Sports News, Burnley boss
Owen Coyle admitted that he is interested in Arsenal starlet
Jack Wilshere. Coyle said,
"I am loath to speak about other teams' players but I think it is fair to say that Arsene Wenger
knows the regard I have for the player .

Wenger is willing to purchase a striker who is Euro cup-tied (not able to play in the
09/10 Champions League due to already playing in it for another team). Wenger said,
"We are going for the domestic title and the FA Cup aswell and doing that allows you to rest a
player for the Champions League or play another player in the Premier League.
According to Salvatore Landolina at Goal.com, Itasportpress is reporting that
midfielder Felipe Melo is troubled at Juventus with coach
Ciro Ferrara and could possibly be dealt. Arsenal went after Melo
during the summer but failed to sign him.

signing AC Milan striker Klaas-Jan Huntelaar on loan for the rest
of the season.

move for Manchester City striker Craig Bellamy.

Jack Wilshere admitted that he would love to join West Ham United
on loan. Wilshere said,

Arsene Wenger denied making any attempt to sign Manchester City
striker Craig Bellamy. Wenger said,
"I like the player ... But I have not done anything on that front .
According to John Cross at MirrorFootball, Arsenal are keeping tabs on
Benfica midfielder Hassan Yebda, who is currently at
Portsmouth on loan for the rest of the season.
According to the Daily Mail, Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger might
not loan out midfielder Jack Wilshere as he may be needed due to injuries to
Cesc Fabregas and Denilson. Wilshere was strongly linked with a
loan move to Burnley.
