In which Carlos Vela, formerly of the Arsenal reserves and now on loan at Real Sociedad, is
shunted over on the touchline by Sporting Gijon's Alejandro Galvez during the former club's 5-1
routing of the latter on Sunday evening which, all-in-all, wouldn't have been too much of an issue
had the linesman not been 'keeping up with the play' quite so admirably.
Last night GiE and I, both based in Norwich, had the pleasure of watching a strong and keen
Arsenal Reserves side take on a young and significantly less experienced Norwich City Reserves
side, at Carrow Road last night.

Arsenal line-up was a welcome surprise: it was a mixture of young and promising talent
with experienced players who were in need of a game.

Gunners, waiting for Götze? No longer, Thomas Eisfeld, 19 years old, who's supposed to be even
more Götze than Mario Götze and comes from the same club arrives at the Emirates for a princely
sum of £420,000. Which means dear Gunners, if you're waiting for the real thing, you're doing it
at your own hazard.
Chuks Aneke's loan spell at Stevenage has ended. Aneke has returned to the comforts of The
Gunners' London Colney training ground and even featured in the Arsenal reserves' 2-0 win against
Chelsea, opening the scoring after 28 minutes. Even though Aneke continues to impress in the
Arsenal reserve side, it's fair to say that his loan spell at Broadhall Way was a major
disappointment.
