One of the best players for the Arsenal Reserves, captain Ignasi Miquel revealed hard work and
dedication could finally open the doors for the first team with the Gunners. Speaking to Arsenal TV

Not much new stuff around the Arsenal camp with the exception of the health of Denilson. He went
down in the middle of the game seemingly in a lot of pain. However, immediately after the game, the
Brazilian was full of confidence that he would feature in this weekend's game. Next to that is the

This will be the last look at the decade that has past. Finding all these past histories and
searching to my mental memories of each season has been a arduous journey for my mind. This time
it's the 2007/08 season. A season which is best remembered as the first one where the great Thierry
Henry [...]

Jackson, Mississippi was the backdrop for a friendly between FC Dallas and Chicago Fire Sunday
afternoon.
Amidst the CBA uncertainty and pushed back roster deadlines, Chicago and Dallas both fielded
strong starting lineups as the preseason dwindles away and the start of the 2010 season
approaches.
Back in action, in that competition we love to call a "Mickey Mouse Cup" and say we don't care
about . . . until we actually see we have a chance to win it, in which case we start to get
excited. We're starting to ease towards the latter category, and if we can win tomorrow, I think
we're looking at a real chance at silverware.
During the preseason this summer, while the Arsenal team were warming up with the Emirates Cup,
the reserves were also participating in a few summer friendlies. In matches played against Boreham
Wood and AFC Wimledon there were a few trialists featured, including 17 year old Japanese youth
international Ryo Miyaichi.
The 2005/06 season was a season of firsts for Arsene Wenger. For the first time in his full reign,
Arsenal finished outside of the top two. However, it was also his first time bringing Arsenal to
the Champions League final. That is the holy grail for Wenger. After achieving so much in the
domestic English [.
Season 2006/07 was our first in a new environment. Our home is no longer Highbury but Ashburton
Grove instead. No better match could've mark the occasion of the opening of a new stadium than the
testimonial match we had. Dennis Bergkamp got a rousing sending off for his stellar years at
Arsenal. It was an [.
The FA Cup is a competition that is synonymous with Arsene Wenger's Arsenal. The great man has
already lead Arsenal to 4 FA Cup triumph for the last 13 years, the last coming in a penalty
shoot-out against Man United. Patrick Vieira scored his with his last ever touch in an Arsenal
shirt. Another journey [.
An FA Cup match is always a different ball game. No matter how different 2 teams are in terms of
league standings or even the league that they play in, it has no bearing in the FA Cup. Early on,
the first real shock of the competition was given by Leeds United, 2 league lower [...]
The news this evening that Sol Campbell is getting a run-out with the Arsenal reserves can only
mean one thing; Phillipe Senderos is on his way out. The official Arsenal website revealed today
that the club are in talks with Campbell regarding a senior contract. Thet announced: Tonight's
Reserve team to face West Ham United at [.

Going to the World Cup? You're gonna need this... [The Offside]
Sergio Canales is going to be the greatest player EVAAAAAR!!!!!! [The Spoiler]
World Cup chief lays the verbal smackdown on Phil Brown and his headset.
My apologies for the late one today, though I'm not as late as I thought I'd be. I know it was
very inconsiderate due to events last night, however, if you read the comments on yesterdays blog
you'll know why, and if not, I was sacked under the guide of 'redundancy' and thought I'd have a
lie in seeing as I didn't have to get up at 5am to go into a shit-hole.
Our Harry is praising Arsene Wenger in his column in The Sun, for having completed a good bit of
business with his re-signing of Sol Campbell.
Obviously Redknapp is a big admirer of Campbell, having worked with him at Portsmouth. He even
admitted that he would have signed him in the summer, had he been working at any other club than
Tottenham.

Thomas Vermaelen has spoken about his injury he picked up against Aston Villa. While we were all
living in fear that he had a sustained a fractured leg, he just picked himself up, dusted himself
down and went about his business as usual!
What he suffered was bad bruising; an injury which normally requires a period of rest but the
hard man has continued to play through the pain.
Press release from the Rapids today: Looks like Steward Ceus may not quite be
ready to back up Pickens. It's also time to say goodbye to Facundo Diz. One of the nicest guys at
the Rapids, he didn't really get a lot of chances. Wish him and his family all the best. Maybe the
Rapids are lining up another striker to back up Casey and Cummings because the talk is that
triallist, Devon Hodges, will not be getting a contract.
Lots of news from the Rapids today. First the game result, then the roster moves.
This morning (early this morning Colorado time) the Rapids played the Arsenal Reserves. According
to Arsenal fans it was closer to a mix of reserves and youth team players. The Rapids won 1-0 on a
Casey goal with a Cummings assist in the 52nd minute.
Sorry for the delayed update. I spent yesterday in Boulder finishing with the Great Big Sea concert
at the Boulder Theater. Great time and I was tempted to buy tickets for tonight's show.
The Rapids finished their London trip with a match against San Jose at Tottenham Hotspur's training
grounds.
I know I could never stop supporting Arsenal, so its more like any support I have for the
manager now will go if he sells Little Jack.
Jack Wilshere is one of the best players we have seen come through the 'youth project' at
Arsenal. Yes Cesc and Clichy are pretty good, but we all know we stole them at an early age, at an
age when everyone could see that they had what it takes.
Arsenal Reserves are apparently no more:
It had been rumored for a little while, but today it has been revealed that Arsenal will not be
entering a team in the FA Reserves League next season.
It seems like the club has decided that a reserves team relatively pointless, and from now on,
players will either be the Under-18s, which will continue as normal, or the first-team, where they
will work with Arsene Wenger and the rest of the first-team squad, and probably at least play in
the Carling Cup.
Sanchez Watt is actually Herschel Oulio Sanchez Watt in full.
He plays for Premier League side Arsenal, but on loan to Leeds United for the past two seasons, and
Southend United prior to that.
He was discovered by the Arsenal scouts while playing for Senrab FC, a Sunday football club.
Last night there was a lot of reminiscing going over on Twitter and it brought back a few
memories of my own.
Now being slightly younger than a fair few of those people who I was chatting to my memories are
obviously pretty limited but there was one memory that came quickly flooding back, the first time I
ever got to see Tony Adams play.
I caught the second half of the Denmark Iceland game... Thomas Kahlenberg fired in a late winner
via a deflection in stoppage time to send Danish fans into raptures, in much off the game Denmark
played with alot of the ball but didn't really look like breaking down the Iceland mean
defence.
The international break was not one for Arsenal fans. First Theo Walcott was carried off during
England's game against Switzerland after injuring his ankle. He was sent to the hospital for x-rays
which is not promising. Expect Walcott to miss at least this weekend against Bolton as well as next
week's Champions League opener.
Arsenal striker Jay Emmanuel-Thomas revealed what it's like to be part of the Arsenal reserves and
youth team as he described the tense and funny side of his life as a footballer. Speaking to
Arsenal TV ...
Here's one for the 2014 or 2015 seasons. It's Arsenal's reserves star Jay Emmanuel Thomas a
converted defensive midfielder to striker (think Kenwyne Jones) who has been dominating for the
reserves team this season. 10 goals in something like ... Continue reading →
By Billy the Dog 1: Mr Wenger did not invent the notion of Arsenal playing reserve teams in Cup
games. Newspaper reports (soon to be reprinted on the Arsenal History site) actually called our
cup side Woolwich Arsenal Reserves in 1893/4. 2: Although the press like to make the point that
Mr Wenger no longer [.
