Chuks Aneke's loan spell at Stevenage has ended. Aneke has returned to the comforts of The Gunners' London Colney training ground and even featured in the Arsenal reserves' 2-0 win against Chelsea, opening the scoring after 28 minutes. Even though Aneke continues to impress in the Arsenal reserve side, it's fair to say that his loan spell at Broadhall Way was a major disappointment.

Two things got me to write this topic today. First, I'm at the moment in the middle of reading Alex Flynn's "Arsènal The Making of a Modern Superclub" and I'm currently at the chapter which speaks about the behaviour of a certain William Gallas after the 2-2 draw at Birmingham.

Nicklas Bendtner is showing some frightening form for his International side Denmark at present, In a poor first half for the Dane's the game had a typical friendly feeling to the game, with both sides not in top gear and happy just to keep ball at times. N.B didn't really get that much involved in the first half and was having a quiet game, but was willing to come deep and link play with the attacking midfielders of Denmark.

A bit of good news on the injury front. Djourou seems to be making good progress and could be available for our game against Liverpool at the Emirates on the 17th. That is a side which includes a slightly more experienced duo in Craig Eastmond and Jay Emmanuel-Thomas. No matter which way you look at it, being beaten by 9 goals is not good regardless of the level of competition.
