Ok, before getting into the match analysis I just want to congratulate Blackburn Rovers and
Steve Kean. They worked hard, took whatever came their way, and fully deserve to move up from the
bottom of the table.
Now let's get on with Arsenal. What does one say after a performance like that?
- Arsenal History ...... Making the Arsenal ...... Arsenal Uncovered - By Michael Shelly and Tony
Attwood Unwarranted criticism emanates from ex-Arsenal players and managers (Bob Wilson, and
Charlie Nicholas generally excepted) all day every day. From Paul Merson to Ian Wright, those who
have nothing better to do now their playing days are over, [.

So, that was a bit better, eh? The corner remains unturned, our backness on the track has yet to
be determined, but we needed a performance and a result to at least start the confidence trickling
back and we got that.
The only things worth talking about from the first half were a fantastic Szczesny save in the
early minutes (that's quite a nice habit he's developing, even if you do wish we wouldn't allow the
chances), a van Persie free kick curled just wide, and a Gervinho shot which whistled not far over
the bar.
Well the transfer window closed last night and unlike windows of the past, Arsenal were doing
business all the way until it slammed shut. Four players were confirmed last night as having
signed, with Park announced the day before. It was clear from the start of the season that Wenger
had to act to change our fortunes and only time will tell if Le Professor has bought correctly.
How did our lads fare in the recent spate of meaningless important Internationals?
Well, first up was our shiny, new striker from Korea, Mr Young, who opened the week with a
hatrick., and a fine one at that. The first being a quick run behind the last defender and a
powerful volley. The second, a towering header from a corner (watch and learn Chamakh) and for the
third he received the ball in the Theo position then struck a firm drive past the beleaguered
Lebanese keeper.
The international break is a managers nightmare, and a supporters, as players go away and come back
with niggling injuries that keep them out of their clubs next league game. Lets hope that all the
Arsenal players report back fit and well next week. Arsene Wenger will have been keeping a close on
the fixtures [.
We all know that footballers get injuries, after all it is part of the game, but over the past
couple of seasons it seems as though the Arsenal players have had more than their fair share. Some
people have questioned the medical team at Arsenal, and it seems as though the latest person to do

Made my first trip to see a match at the Emirates today to watch Arsenal play Swansea. Luckily I
saw Arsenal win 1-0. But it was far from an impressive performance by the Gunners.
Yes they won via an Arshavin goal, but Swansea really should have equalized late in aded time
when Danny Graham shot over from the edge of the six yard box.

I said yesterday I'd be happy with a draw and even last night I wasn't too upset at the late
equaliser, even if the timing of it was a bit cruel.
Arsenal were under the cosh for most of the second half, Dortmund piled on attack after attack
after attack, but for the most part we defended very well, very bravely and with real
commitment.
We have a torrid start to the season, let's not get deluded we have lost 3 games and are now
languishing at the bottom of the table. This is not acceptable for the fans nor is it acceptable
for Wenger. His comments after Saturday clearly show his frustration with what is happening at
the moment, more so is his inability to do anything about what is happening.
George Graham, Perry Groves, Frank McLintock and many more ex Arsenal players and mangers have been
having their say on the clubs problems of late. The latest to have their say is Remi Garde who is
the current manager of Lyon. There is no criticism of individuals, or no mention of a new defensive
coach [.
Arsenal take on Bolton at the Emirates, and despite a 3-1 win by a second XI over Shrewsbury in
the Carling Cup on Tuesday, the Wenger Boys still have plenty of points to prove.
Arsenal are short priced favourites with all bookmakers for their game against Bolton, but once
again Unibet offer you the very biggest odds on the planet!
Robin Van Persie scored twice as Arsenal overran 10-man Bolton 3-0 to complete a one-sided
Premier League win at the Emirates Stadium.
The home captain set Arsenal on the road to three much-needed points when he dribbled past Fabrice
Muamba to thump the ball beyond Bolton goalkeeper Jussi Jaaskelainen from eight yards out on 47
minutes.
Feels good to win again, doesn't it?
After our last league fart, that awful rainy day against Blackburn, everyone, from Wenger to the
average fan, saw this match as the true must-win. Robin van Persie said our season started today.
The poisonous pundits smelled blood had we lost this one, and for the first time I was inclined to
agree- losing at home to a sinking Bolton, with the second-worst EPL defense this season (try to
guess who had the first), would have been just too much for us to bear.
Only four Arsenal players would get into Spurs' team... and two of them are
injured!
ROBBIE'S STORY OF THE WEEK If you ever need the motivation to get in shape, I'd suggest posing
with your shirt off. I did it for William Hill this summer and thousands of cut-outs then appeared
in their stores across the country.
