So it's transfer season, and everyone is in a tizzy with rumors of whether Cesc Fabregas and
Samir Nasri are going to stay or go, when Clichy, Bendtner and Denilson will say good-bye, and who
may or may not be coming to Arsenal to be our saviour with the required mental strength, leadership
desire.
Here we are, just a week after Martin said his goodbyes, and now I will be saying goodbye too.
This will be my last post here at Arsenal Offside.
I almost don't know what to say. I'm not very good with goodbyes, so I'll try to keep things
short. I basically came to this blog like the rest of you, as a fan and a frequent contributor to
the comments section.

I'm baaaaaaack. Naw, just kidding Homey and the others who have swooped in to take over the site
haven't been entered into the system yet, so I told them I could put up their posts as a short term
solution. And since I'm doing it, I'll go ahead and throw up a gratuituous plug check out my first
real post over at my new site, Martin on Mondays.

As the transfer rumour season gets under way, the press is busy slaughtering us for our lack of
activity.
Well let's look at what has happened so far.
Liverpool have spent £20M on an England u-21 international, a player who is not as good as
either Wilshere or Ramsey, so what did they expect us to do, spend money for the sake of spending
money?
Sunday, Sunday, the red tops are full of more rumours and transfer stories, so much
contradiction it makes you want to scream.
The People are reporting that Samir Nasri is not after £110K a week as previously reported but
a staggering £160K a week. Well Samir if this is the case then it will be thanks for the
memories but good-bye.

I am sticking with the publicized transfer kitty of £30million, although it's likely to include
wages, so maybe I'll knock it down to £20million. For your information,

We're a little behind the times here at the Arsenal Offside, as we navigate the choppy
transitional waters from The Martin/Sairax era to The Largely Unknown Jackasses era.
But finally, nine days after the fact, we have a post about the new Arsenal
kit/shirts/jerseys/unis/whatever you prefer to call them.
In the 2010/11 season, Arsenal scored 72 goals in the Premier League, 21 goals in the Champions
League, 12 goals in the FA Cup and 14 goals in the Carling Cup. That is a lot to choose from for a
terribly indecisive person as myself. The list I came up with is subjective, but in general I kept
in mind quality of the goal and its significance.
Arsenal striker Robin van Persie revealed that swapping shirts with Inter Milan's Ronaldo was one
of the most important moments in his career. Speaking to Arsenal Player, the Dutchman went a decade
back in time as ...

(Summary is not available.)
It looks like the Lille striker Gervinho has decided he is going to join Arsenal. The 24 year-old
Ivory Coast international has just won the French Ligue 1 Championship and French Cup Double with
Lille and has been linked with Arsenal, Liverpool and Newcastle United since the end of the season.
But the reason I [.
In case you haven't noticed, there isn't always a whole lot for us to blog about on a regular
basis. The preseason tour doesn't begin for a few more weeks, nothing of substance has officially
happened in the transfer window yet, and the regular season is still over a month and a half away.
But since we're new and still trying to make a go of it, we're doing the best we can to deliver
fresh content.
There have been assorted Arsenal rumours that Andrei Arshavin was going to be sold this summer, but
both the player and the manager have scuppered the idea of him leaving, but he thinks that Cesc
Fabregas will not be returning to the Emirates after the summer break. Arshavin told the Russian
magazine Sport: "My opinion [.

As usual during any transfer window there is the constant mutterings from Spain about Cesc
Fabregas, and today's offering is from the Barcelona legend Johan Cruyff, who still works for the
European Champions. Many Arsenal fans are secretly hoping that, if their captain gets his wish to
rejoin his boyhood club, that he will spend [.

Don't believe all the crap you read by Anthony Armstrong As an Arsenal fan, this week has been a
particularly depressing one. Fabregas is off to Barcelona in exchange for pocket money, Nasri is
soon to be a Manc, van Persie is about to hand in a transfer request, Chelsea want Walcott and we
are [...]

According to a report this morning in L'Equipe, the Lille striker Gervinho has given Arsene Wenger
his word that he will sign for Arsenal rather than accept a late attempt to hijack the deal. Lille
had already refused a bid from Tottenham, and Liverpool were also reported to have made an offer
for the Ivorian [.
There is a report today that states that the Russian side Zenit St. Petersberg are keen to bring
back their prodigal son Andrei Arshavin to the Russian League. Arshavin arrived from Zenit to great
fanfare two years ago, but his skills seem to have diminished after a brilliant opening season.
There has been zero discussions [.

There is still no news from the Emirates about Gael Clichy's contract talks. There have been
rumours that he has asked to be transferred but there has been no official confirmation from either

this [...]

Great Potential For Next Season by Eddie Bingham After regularly hunting down various articles
concerning Arsenal transfer updates and rumors, I have been made ever more hopeful at the prospect
of finally filling that dusty trophy cabinet at the Emirates. And while my ideas for next season's
starting XI go slightly against the typical Wenger [.
I've been getting frustrated with the coverage of the Samir Nasri contract situation over the
last week or so, particularly around the vitriol directed at him for his stance in negotiating his
new contract and/or move to another club. I don't doubt for a second that he has been somewhat
ruthless in his approach, but I've not seen anything that he's said or done that has left me
thinking 'ooo, that's a bit off'.
