My coverage of the Arsenal Ladies team is erratic I know, but I do try to cover their games [.

Thought I'd give everyone some general updates during this interlull that we are all currently enjoying. I'm sure Martin would give some more updates, but he is preparing himself for a weekend boozefest, so you'll be seeing a lot of me around.

The year 2011 is set up to be a big one in women's football. The UEFA Women's Champions League Final will be held at Craven Cottage on May 26. The FIFA Women's World Cup will be held in Germany and begins on June 26. Last, but not least, the new FA Women's Super League is being launched today and our very own Arsenal Ladies team will be involved in the opening game.

After suffering a horrible defeat on the weekend I decided that I needed to step back from everything and have a breather. Martin is currently drowning in a sea of papers wondering what possessed him to become a lawyer and I have been filling in some of the blanks of my own life while the world of Arsenal continues to turn.

Goodbye Danny Fiszman

Hello Gooners, my good friends. I've come to talk with you again. The fusty old cobwebs of the international break have been well and truly blown away with vengeance. Swivelling the old noggin and casting my eye back over the last 7 days, I've taken in a Premier League home game, an Arsenal Ladies match, an Arsenal Supporters' Trust meeting and a trip to Germany for a Champions League encounter.

I promised a post for Peaches and without anything new to write about I have decided to kind of rehash that premise. The U.S. WNT players did a lot of different and fun stuff on their six-week breaks before the team opens camp this Monday in Arizona, but only one of them traveled to a different country to support their favorite club.
That would be Tobin Heath, the U.S. WNT resident soccer junky, who traveled with best buddy and Sky Blue FC teammate Casey Nogueira to London to take in an Arsenal match at The Emirates.

Please enjoy these photos of the Arsenal pre-school unit on an outing to Borehamwood to watch Arsenal Ladies play Rayo Vallecano. The game, which the Gunners won 5-1, puts them through to the quarter finals of the competition, and prompted some immensely cute Twitter fan-boying by the pups.

We all know that Real Madrid have a history of respected Portuguese legends within their ranks, but none of them dared to wear a Bath Robe onto the pitch like Atletico's Paulo Futre (above) did in the 80′s!
