Well as always this summer Arsenal have been linked with many players throughout the world, but
today I have set out to create a post about the realistic players who could come to Arsenal and the
likely hood we will sign them.
Starting from defence and working up the field you can see the players below, (Please note
the word realistic because we have been linked with many players around the field and I'm only
showing as the word suggest real transfer prospects.
CESC FABREGAS has pleaded with boss Arsene Wenger to sign a midfield hardman.
Arsenal skipper Fabregas misses tough-tackling Mathieu Flamini who quit the Gunners last summer
for AC Milan and has not been replaced.
So after a long week of Melo will sign and Melo won't it appears now conclusively that Juve have
struck a deal and Arsenal can't financially and won't match it. So this leaves the door open for
the question who will we attempt to sign now, after our main target has moved.. I shall
discuss:
Blaise Matuidi
This transfers seems to be done on the evidence of things; he is apparently in England,
according to Sky Sports news and his current club St Etienne have signed Fernande's from Man City
(Central Defensive Midfielder) and appear to be looking for another defensive minded player, from
Greece somewhere.
UDINESE defender Cristian Zapata claims Arsenal are among the clubs interested in signing him
this summer.
The 22-year-old has made 17 league starts for Udinese this season and his performances for the
Bianconeri have not gone unnoticed.
He said: "Juventus, Fiorentina, Milan, Arsenal and Villarreal have requested information about
me.
Good morning to everyone reading this post (or should I say good day if you are reading it after
12:00). There have been many rumours and gossip flying around today though a few appear to be
substantial, which is quite good. I will digress:
Blaise Matuidi
Many of the morning's papers and various other media have been reporting that Blaise Matuidi is
to sign for Arsenal for a fee ranging from £2.
Arsene Wenger agreed a £10million deal for Ajax centre-back Thomas Vermaelen yesterday but is
still unsure about who will partner him at the heart of Arsenal's defence next season.
Though his agent Soren Lerby was still negotiating personal terms last night, Vermaelen seems
certain to sign a four-year contract at The Emirates after convincing the Arsenal manager he has
the credentials to shore up a defence that was repeatedly found wanting last season.
Mamadou Sakho, currently a young PSG Centre Back has been a target of Arsenal for a while now
and according to his agent Arsenal are the "most interested" club but currently are "to cheap"
inclining that we have made a bid but have not offered enough.
This is what he had to say:
"He will be moving clubs this summer.
Well before I start I've got a lot two get through. So this might take a while!
£15 million bid for Melo
According to "News of the World" and the "Daily Mirror" Arsenal have made a £15 million bid for
Brazil and Fiorentina's defensive midfield player, as I already discussed a few days earlier to
this post.
Today has been quite a day for news stories reporting Arsenal FC; there has been transfer news,
Wenger's quote's about various issues and stupid newspaper columnists sledging us over and over
again. But let's calm down.
News reports on Huntelaar
It has been clear knowledge for a day now that Huntelaar is not keen on a mover to Stuggart even
though Real have agreed a fee.
It has been reported over various newspapers this morning and on Sky Sports News that Arsenal
should confirm the signing of Ajax's young centre back who's aged 23: Thomas Vermaelen.
It is though the fee should be in the range of £10 million although I strongly doubt that
considering every Arsenal transfer is price by the media at higher than it actually was, for
example:
Samir Nasri - Media said £20 million he was £12 million
Arshavin - media said £20 million he was £15 million
You get the point.
Emmanuel Adebayor has passed a medical and will move to Manchester City once his work
permit is approved.
The Togo striker, who has spent three-and-a-half seasons at Arsenal, is believed to be valued at
£25m.
The 25-year-old, who scored 16 times for the Gunners last season, has also been linked to AC
Milan and Chelsea.
It was been revealed today in many newspapers that Arsenal are wanting Wolfsburgs top form
striker Edin Dzeko for a fee of around £8 million. The player himself has said nothing on leaving
but indicated earlier in they ear that a move to the premier league would be good.
Although with Man City's muscle in the money department it could be hard to sign anyone if we're
against them!
Arsenal are reportedly battling Juventus to sign £17million-rated Macedonia striker Goran
Pandev.
The 25-year-old has told Lazio he needs a new challenge after five years in Rome and the Gunners
are said to have joined the race for his signature.
Last month he was linked to Tottenham Hotspur, Chelsea and Liverpool, while Bayern Munich and
Fiorentina are now also reported to be interested.
Emmanuel Adebayor has been offered to AC and Inter Milan – to stop him from being sold to
Chelsea.
Arsenal are determined to auction off Adebayor this summer and have hired agents to try to
strike a £25million deal.
But Gunners boss Arsene Wenger fears that the Milan giants have lost interest in the 25-year-old
after his disappointing season.
The news coming out of Fiorentina today is that Arsenal have until Friday to finalise a deal if
they wish to sign Felipe Melo from them. Juventus talks have collapsed after Marco Marchionni's
refused to sign for Fiorentina on the deal they offered him. To add to this Fiorentina's supporters
staged a protest that one of their best players was being sold to a bitter rival, consequently
with this in mind Fiorentina want to sell to Arsenal and have set a Friday deadline date.
It has been anounced today that Thomas Vermaelen will fly in to England tommorow and complete a
medical at Arsenal before signing his contract which is believed to be of four years. We have had
no whimper of what his wages are but it is expected that has already been done and all that is
needed is his mediacal done and dusted before pen is put to paper.
Today has been a big day for Arsenal; We are to face Celtic in Champions league qualifying which
as "harregas the gooner" said on the post below is very ironic and many transfer stories have
stated prevailing in the last few hours, so the papers should be full of them tomorrow.
Arsenal to up Chamakh bid
The Daily Mail is saying Wenger will up his bid for the Moroccan forward to £7.
Arsene Wenger has made a fresh move for St Etienne midfielder Blaise Matuidi after fearing Cesc
Fabregas is facing an injury lay-off.
Arsenal captain Fabregas, 22, faces a race to be fit for Saturday's trip to Manchester United
and could be out for up to three weeks with a hamstring injury.
Well I'm back from two weeks in 35 degree Cyprus Could of done with a bit more.
Well much has gone on since Ive been away and I would like first of all to thank Harregas the
gooner to keep you all updated.
Adebayor
First of all it appeared he was out after Ac Milan couldn't get Dzeko from Wolfsburg so they sad
Ade was second and a bid appeared to be coming.
Sky Sports Sources understand Manchester City are in talks with Arsenal over the
possible signing of striker Emmanuel Adebayor.
Adebayor has been linked with a move away from Arsenal this summer, with a number of European
clubs said to be interested in his services.
But the Togo international's future looked to be settled after his agent recently stated he
would be staying at Emirates Stadium.
