Earlier we covered Arsenal's 5-3 win at Stamford Bridge from an Arsenal perspective.
Here is the Chelsea viewpoint of the match from our Chelsea site:
I cannot remember a worse defensive performance by Chelsea than what we saw today. Almost from
the opening whistle, it seemed like both teams said lets forget about defence and see who can score
more goals than the other.
It took just 5 minutes of Arsenal magic to turn a one goal deficit into a one
goal lead as Robin Van Persie and substitute Andrei Arshavin struck for the Gunners at the Emirates
stadium. It leave us with a fascinating second leg to come next month at the Nou Camp. Could that
Villa away goal be costly for the Gunners.
Dimitar Berbatov scored his third hat trick of the season as Manchester United thrashed
Birmingham 5-0 to move two points clear at the top of the Premier League.
Wingers Ryan Giggs and Nani were the other scorers at Old Trafford for United, which swept to an
easy victory to now make it 22 games without a defeat.

Arsenal vs Ipswich Town Carling Cup Semifinal second leg- January 25, 2011 Final score:- Arsenal
3-0 Ipswich ( Nicklas Bendtner, Laurent Koscielny, Cesc Fabregas) Arsenal beat Ipswich Town 3-0 at
the Emirates to book their spot in the finals of the Carling Cup. All three Arsenal goals came in

Arsenal keeper Lukasz Fabianski is out for the rest of the season after
Specialists revealed he will need surgery on his Shoulder injury.
Fabianski has been replaced in the Arsenal goals by 20 year old Wojciech Szczesny since his last
which was Arsenal's scoreless draw with Manchester City on January 5.

Read any Djalminha retrospective and the same words seem to crop up; brilliant, mercurial,
elusive, tumultuous, profligate, turbulent and it's little wonder why.
Having intermittently illuminated Spanish football with his extrovert brand of grace and skill
after arriving at Deportivo La Coruna in 1997 (including a starring role in their title-winning
side of 1999/2000), Djalminha looked a shoe-in for a spot in Brazil's 2002 World Cup squad right up
until he pressed the self-destruct button two days before Phil Scolari was due to announce his
final draft headbutting Deportivo coach Javier Irureta during a training ground scuffle.

The subject of Pies' Friday afternoon tribute this week just so happens to be one of my all-time
favourites, ever since my grandparents bought me a knock-off 'Batistuta #9′ Fiorentina shirt home
from a market stall in Venezuela (of all places) at the age of ten or eleven.

Neville Southall. Neville. F**king. Southall former binman, mustachioed powerhouse, atavistic
footballing throwback and one of, if not the finest goalkeeper of his generation...
To be honest, Big Nev deserves this afternoon's vid-tribute nod just for the sheer number of
abhorrent jerseys he's been forced to sport down through the years.

Paolo Maldini. Il Capitano. The longest-serving one-club man in football history. He's won
everything there is to win and then done it all again. A man who stood on the very apex of
committed defending for almost 25 years. Cultured, consummate and quintessentially Italian.

And so Arsenal come into the weekend on the back of a convincing 3-1 win over League Two side
Shrewsbury Town. Since I didn't listen or watch the game and only saw the highlights of three
spectacular Arsenal goals, and an unavoidable goal against, I will remain in my dreamworld and
ignore the panic on Twitter that went on during the game.
Three premiership big guns, Chelsea, Arsenal and Liverpool who last weekend suffered
disappointing defeats all bounced their way back into victories this Saturday after beating their
respective opponents.
The Blues went on a 4-1 rampage against new boys, Swansea, the Gunners slammed troubled Bolton
3-0, while The Reds edged Wolverhampton Wanderers 2-1 at Anfield.
Howdy Arse lovers. I write a few hours in advance of the fixture with Olympiacos. Far from ideal
as it's likely you'll read this in wake of that game. But it was so nearly worse dear reader. I did
originally flounce off in a massive huff and refuse to produce the column altogether. This was
until my lawyer forced me to release a statement explaining that it had all been a
misunderstanding.

After two weeks of interlull we could once again enjoy proper meaningful football with a trip
to the Fine City of Norwich to take on Paul Lambert's promoted Canaries.
The only selection problem facing Wenger was whether to field Koscielny, Djourou or Yennaris at
right back.
