Several stories making the rounds today:
Supposedly Arsenal's 2011-2012 kit has been leaked, and you can find the pictures of it here. I
don't like it as good as this year's, but this year's home shirt set the bar pretty high. If that's
really it (and I stress that this has not been confirmed) .
Arsenal thoroughly demolished FC Porto in Champions League action on Wednesday, posting a 5-0
victory on the strength of a Nicklas Bendtner hat-trick, but the moment of the match came when
Samir Nasri danced through Porto's defense before blasting home a goal-of-the-year candidate.
Here is Nasri's wonder goal:

As Arseblog brought you the news of Wellington's signing before anyone else, I thought you well
informed folks might be interested in his performance in a behind closed doors friendly against
Dagenham and Redbridge today.
The young Brazilian was outstanding by all accounts having a hand in all three Arsenal goals as
we won the game 3-1.
The thing about an Arsenal free weekend is that when the weekend is over there is literally
nothing to talk about. There's no post-match reaction, drama, histrionics or anything else. The
weekend's results do mean more games for Villa and Sp*rs as they have to do the whole replay thing
and while we still glance over our shoulder a little bit that's no bad thing.
The media wasn't convinced and readied themselves for a caning, the fans were a little
apprehensive, there was no Cesc, we had never turned a first leg defeat around since General Custer
lost at Little Big Horn, the pressure was building.
Oh dear what a let down for the Arsenal knockers, we cruised it.

So the focus turns from domestic to europe. I don't know quite how many consecutive seasons it
is in the Champions League for Arsenal but it's a lot. I think we also hold the record for the
number of consecutive appearances in the knock-out stages.
You can't help but think there's unfinished business in this competition.
Arsenal 2-1 Birmingham City
It is undeniable that after two league defeats, and with a trip to Middle Eastlands looming, a win
against Birmingham was not only much needed but also a blessed relief. We did, however, make heavy
weather of a game we should have won more easily.
Eduardo is not a legend in the mould of Henry, Bergkamp or Pires. And neither is his legend
Eboue-esque. And yet, you'd have to have an Emotional Quotient equivalent to that of the Terminator
in order for you to have not experienced the onset of severe goosebumps-itis last night.
Notes from our Arsenal-supporting contingent, lead by the generally unruly but always
introspective Tyler Carpenter.
The derby? Impossible to predict a scoreline. Position-wise the teams are mostly even, but
Arsenal should win at home. The battle will be won at midfield, and I feel that
finally-approaching-form Cesc could be the decider.
When does strength turn into a lead foot? When does power equate with a decline in acceleration?
Judging from Carlos Ancellotti's masochistic managerial style, the sun is setting quickly on
Chelsea's current crop of stars. The Italian left AC Milan when he deemed aging legs incapable of
providing trophies yet only six months removed from a double-winning year, Chelsea looks lost as
compared to Arsenal's ascent.
