Morning all,
Arsenal made their way into the 4th round of the Carling Cup last night with a 2-0 win over West
Brom. I didn't see any of it, bar the goals on Sky Sports News, but you can't argue with the
result.
The goals came from Sanchez Watt, who followed up a Carlos Vela shot, and Carlos Vela who
followed up a Mark Randall chip.

mastery of movement in the final third.

Arsenal 4-1 Portsmouth
Much has been made of the lack of goals from Arsenal's recognised strikers only Eduardo has
scored of the twelve Arsenal goals but if you're creating chances and most crucially, scoring them
then there really is nothing to worry about.

Arsenal put 6 past a hapless Everton to score a thumping away win on the opening day of the
09/10 Premier League season. Denilson, Vermaelen and Gallas made it 3-0 by half-time before a brace
by Cesc Fabregas and a late goal by Eduardo Da Silva completed the rout.
Saha got the consolation goal for Everton in the 90th minute, but the only one benefiting from
that would be people who picked the Everton striker in their fantasy football team.

Four goals from Andrey Arshavin put a huge dent in Liverpool's Premier League title hopes as
Arsenal drew 4-4 at Anfield.
The hosts went ahead of Manchester United on goal difference having come from behind three times,
starting with Arshavin's first in the 36th minute.
Fernando Torres and Yossi Benayoun scored soon after the interval but three further goals from the
Russian piled the pressure back on Rafael Benitez's side and even a second from Torres and an
injury-time equaliser from Benayoun were not enough to force victory.

I've just returned from watching the Liverpool Arsenal league at Anfield and had one of
the weirdest experiences of Arsenal supporting life. I was actually a bit gutted when Arsenal
scored.
But first, to the game itself. It was superb. The whole game was back and forth and both
teams looked like scoring.

Desperate boss tries one last throw of the dice Arsene Wenger has shaken up his attacking
combinations once more as he seeks to break a sequence of results in which the Gooners have failed
to score in four consecutive Premier League games. This looks like your perfect big man, little
combination to OTP.

Normal service was resumed in Arsenal's pre-season. Nicholas Bendtner, who has been featured up
front in all 3 pre-season games, was good for 4 goals, Carlos Vela scored 3, 16-year-old playmaker
Jack Wilshere scored a couple, and set up at least a couple, and Theo Walcott score one. Those were
the first Arsenal goals for Vela and Wilshere who are making their first-ever appearances for
Arsenal this pre-season.

By 1970's Gooner Awesome, fantastic, at a canter, untouchable. These are some of the eulogies that
can be appropriately used to describe the performance against Derby at the Emirates. The boys won
without even breaking sweat. They were professional in their approach, played at almost the same
tempo till the end and trounced Derby for five. We are sitting on top of the League with Manchester
