No TGIF during the International break, so it gives me a chance to go back to traditional blogging.
The subject for discussion this week is the vexed question of silverware at Arsenal football Club.
The persistent refrain of Arsenal MUST win something this season if the youth experiment is to be
hailed as a success is rather doing my head in.

There is only one big issue today, the news that Arsenal Football Club is now effectively owned
by Stan Kroenke. I say this rather tongue in cheek, in that until all the shares are owned by Mr
Kroenke, this is more a question of voting rights with the effective control of the club that is
conferred upon Stan Kroenke by virtue of this shareholding.

Wenger revealed that Merida had agreed a new contract deal at Arsenal Football Club, but he has not
yet signed it.
Major speculation loomed this week on the future of Arsenal's promising young midfielder, with his
current contract expires next summer, and rumors has it that Atletico Madrid is keen to keen to
bring Merida back to Spain.

It's now or never for Arsenal Football Club. Â Stan Kroenke has been mopping up small
shareholdings over the last couple of weeks to raise his share in the club to 29.8%. He is a
fraction below the mandatory bid figure of 29.9%.
It was rumoured that he bought 100 shares from Arsenal chairman Peter Hill-Wood; this is the
same man who famously said, "We do not need his sort at this club.

In the intro to every Premier League game that ESPN2 shows on Saturday mornings, they begin with
a graphic of the world and then zoom in on England and directly to the home ground where the match
is played. It's a brilliant sequence, but they goofed this past Saturday when instead of zooming in
on the Emirates Stadium, home of Arsenal Football Club, they zoomed in on the Arsenal Stadium,
better known as Highbury.

No TGIF this week as I do not want to distract you all from the blogs that detail the AGM and
the subsequent discussions. Certainly the only issue in town is the sixtieth birthday of Arsene
Wenger, but apart from the many plaudits that have been rightfully laid at his door, the most
significant one to my mind is the fact that he reminded us in the speech before the AGM, that
Arsenal Football Club rank alongside Real Madrid and Manchester United as the only clubs that have
been in the Champions League for 12 years running.

Arsene will spend his 60th birthday today at the club's Annual General Meeting with the
shareholders, and, unlike last season, a much more cordial atmosphere is to be expected.
I watched the AGM last year and I have to say that the reports in the press made it seem as
though Arsene was attacked and strung up by his legs by the shareholders, who went on to poke and
prod him but eventually let him go.

60 on the 22nd October 2009, he is the longest serving manager in Arsenal football club
history.
Didn't get the perfect birthday present when the team concede a last-minute goal against AZ
Alkmaar in the Champions League group stage match, but Wenger is still the most successful foreign
manager to have plied his trade in English football.

It was the 7th consecutive win on the trot for Arsenal Football Club since the double losses to
both Manchester clubs. It was not the best of performance from the boys. Exciting and seemed to be
cruising, then almost immediately allowed Birmingham back into the game until the 3rd goal
arrived.

What words do we need to describe the genius that is Cesc Fabregas and for the first time on
Saturday, he seemed to be enjoying his football, and I do believe him now when he says that he
wants to stay. Why? well the lure of the catalans is great, but at Barcelona, he would be one
addition to the rank of mega personas that the Spanish giants feel necessary to accumulate.

Welcome to TGIF, and this week there are some milestones to celebrate, the odd champagne cork to
pop, and also a growing realisation that eventually this team will deliver no matter how ugly the
play may look. In this special week of all weeks at Arsenal Football Club, let us take the time to
acknowledge Arsene Wenger's achievements and enjoy a degree of unity without bad mouthing the
Frenchman.

Today Arsene Wenger becomes Arsenal's longest serving manager ever. 13+ years in the job he has
gone past George Allison who is, I suppose, his Cliff Bastin to Wenger's Thierry Henry (I'm not
forgetting Ian Wright, btw!).
He joined an Arsenal team which had been somewhat in the doldrums, although improving under
Bruce Rioch, and essentially revolutionised the place.

Thirteen years to the day a spectacled Frenchman signed a contract making him the manager of
Arsenal Football Club, out went the old training methods and unhealthy foods and in came strict
diets and training regimes. It was a day that not only started our ascent to one of Europe's elite
clubs but it was also a day that started a revolution in English football.

Well Arsenal Football club have provided the financial incentive for any prospective takeover by
producing a significant increase in turnover yet only a modest increase in taxable profits which is
good because I hate the tax man. I have read the pdf accounts and find no major surprises except
the "Impairment charges" incurred because of the discrepancy between the 24 million valuation of
Queens Square and the true costs incurred through the fall in value and the placing in mothballs of
the project.

I hope I'm not making a mountain out of a mole hill here but I'm worried about our little darling
Cesc Fabregas.
I hate to say it but I've watched him in recent games and he doesn't seem right. His body language
and the way he is playing suggests that he either has things on his mind or he is just short of
confidence.

The speculation presented in the Sun today is quite old news as Arsenalinsider informed you all
of any likely impending Boardroom struggle back in July, when Lady Nina Bracewell-Smith was
rumoured to have finally found a buyer for her shares. The 15.9% stake was always going to be the
crucial holding in the final ownership direction, and there were only two players who were going to
fight it out.

Hello there,
I must apologise in advance this morning as today's blog is a bit of a cuntfest. There's no
other way to describe it really. I shall try to temper the cunts with some non-cunts to decuntify
things a bit though.
Firstly, Amazon. They've withdrawn the CD that was on sale after Arsenal's legal department got

Fight fire with fire, the expression goes. I have always argued that there is a basic

Morning All,
There isn't a great deal happening in the wonderful world of Arsenal Football Club per se but
today does in fact mark the beginning of an exciting yet equal testing week ahead for the club.
Despite the upcoming games against Celtic midweek followed by those foul mancs, all talk still
seems to be revolving around the Portsmouth Game (Rightly So).

his unhappiness at the club's failure to win a trophy in the past four seasons.

L'Equipe are reporting this evening that Arsenal Football club have made an offer to Bordeaux
for their striker Chamakh, they say that Jean-Louis Triaud laughed about the concrete offer, and
suggested that it was quite insufficient from a club of the stature of Arsenal. In any case the
fact that he said that it was insufficient and not rejected out of hand opens the door to
negotiation.
