mansub by arsenalist Having just benefited from an assist by the Alex Oxlade Chamberlain, Robin Van
Persie joined thousands of Arsenal fans in a show of dissent when Arsene Wenger replaced the young
Englishman with Andrey Arshavin. Oxlade Chamberlain had looked lively and had been the only Arsenal
attacker who looked like causing the Manchester [.
Arsenal fans will not have found much to smile about at the San Siro last night, but they might
have been able to raise a bit of a smirk for this banner (if their Italian was up to scratch). AC
Milan supporters held up a banner suggesting that he "trumpeted" the Queen. Apparently, that's
Italian [...

Two football matches, four teams, 22 players, five goals on the night, fourteen across the
fixtures.
Holy smokes! We can't believe we got that right on the first attempt!

Seeing your team squander a whole load of chances in the first half and then capitulate in the
second would be enough to make anyone a teeny bit frustrated at the very least. However, the
failure of Theo Walcott in particular, to make the most of Arsenal's first half dominance looks to
have sent Arsene Wenger a bit mad.
Carlo Ancelotti joined PSG in December after being sacked by Chelsea. The Italian won the double
in his first season but failed to inspire The Blues as they finished without a trophy the following
season.
The 52-year-old admitted he was hoping to replace Arsene Wenger in north London.
Very interesting reports emerging that are linking Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger with Mourinho's
job at Real Madrid. Though very flattering the possibilities of Wenger leaving Arsenal any time
soon are almost zero!
However, the same cannot be said of Jose Mourinho. The 'special one' once again had a negative
result against arch rivals Barcelona, this time going down 4-3 on aggregate after pulling 2 goals
back to level the scoreline in their Copa Del Rey quarter final return fixture at the Nou Camp.
The Gunners take on hosts Liverpool in Saturday's early kickoff in a game that will pitch two
sides on a high; Arsenal on the back of that remarkable comeback against Tottenham and Liverpool
bubbling from their Carling Cup triumph.
In recent years these two sides have produced some fascinating battles but Arsenal fans will be
worried about their side's tendency to throw away leads late in the game.
Here is a little transfer news for you. According to emerging reports, Arsenal have apparently
reached an agreement with German club FC Cologne to sign Lukas Podolski on a 4 year deal worth
£10.8 million.
Last week, it was reported that Podolski had reached personal terms with the club and so
confirmation of this through this 'agreement' is bound to be very good news for Arsenal fans.
The 2011-2012 Season started in the worst way imaginable for everyone associated with Arsenal.
Cesc Fabregas Left Arsenal For Barcelona, When the announcement was made Arsenal fans hoped it was
a terrible joke, I know I did.
But it wasn't and we all had to move on, Arsenal had to move on.
1. At one point it appeared that this bloke had gone to get a topical t-shirt printed mid-match. 2.
Being played off the park at the Emirates must hurt Arsene Wenger far more than being kicked off
the park at the Britannia. 3. During commentary, Sky Sports' Martin Tyler said that Wenger was the
worst [.

Arsenal Eyeing CSKA Moscow's £26 Million-Rated Striker Seydou Doumbia
Arsenal are all set to submit a bid for CSKA Moscow's star
striker Seydou Doumbia, according to a report published by the Daily
Mail.
Today's post is written by Neil, a QPR supporter who we met up with before the game last
Saturday. These are his thoughts on the game and the Emirates experience.
I got the chance to visit the Emirates stadium as I have always wanted to, as iI had heard a lot
about it and it always looks great on TV.
Thierry Henry came on as a second half substitute to a rapturous reception from the Arsenal
fans, and then in pure Hollywood style, scored the winner against Leeds United tonight.
It took Henry less than 10 minutes to show the ineffective Marouane Chamakh how it is done as he
took one touch to control Alex Song's clever pass in his favourite inside left position and, before
the Leeds defenders could react, he had planted the ball beyond keeper Andy Lonergan and into the
far corner.

Many Arsenal fans may have already given up on ever seeing Abou Diaby in an Arsenal shirt again
after his continuing series of ankle problems, which started just after he arrived at the Gunners
in 2006. He was apparently close to a comeback last month but Arsene Wenger announced that he had
he had had [.
Angry, frustrated, disappointed. Once again Arsenal fans are left let-down, once again we are
promised things will change and once again it is groundhog season for Arsenal, and we haven't even
entered the annual departures of the close season.
Where do we start? It is obvious that things went wrong in the summer with Wenger anticipating
that both Nasri and Fabregas will not leave these were the hopes of a man living in a dream
land.
The time has finally come to play out the reverse fixture of the 8-2 defeat that Arsenal
suffered at the hands of Manchester United on that horrific August evening at Old Trafford. The
memories of that mauling are fresh on the minds of not only the Gunners fans but also European
bookies like Champions League betting, which is why Arsenal have been priced as the underdogs
even though this Sunday's match is taking place in the North Londoners' own backyard.
1. After the man that should have been sent off for a nasty stamp won and scored a match winning
penalty in injury time for Manchester City, you had to wonder whether today was going to be our
day. There had been plenty of talk of "revenge" from Arsenal players ahead of kick-off, in
reference to the 8-2 battering we dished out at Old Trafford, so we knew they would be up for this
game even more than usual.
Robin Van Persie is acting like a true Arsenal captain by issuing a rallying call to players and
fans alike by trying to instil confidence that there are still trophies possible for the Gunners
this season. Many Arsenal fans think that they are more likely to win at cash bingo games online
than to win [.
Yesterday's courtroom admissions that Tottenham manager Harry Redknapp's literacy is so poor that
he cannot even fill-in a teamsheet was always likely to provide Gunners with ammunition. And so it
proved! Via Arseblog

With 3 defeats in the last 4 games and an unconvincing win against Leeds in the last round of
the FA Cup, Arsenal fans were feeling far from optimistic ahead of this 4th round clash against
Aston Villa.
Rumour had it that the Gunners injury list was starting to ease, and so it
proved with Sagna, Henry and Arteta all named on the bench and also the young Frenchman Coquelin
was deputising at right back.
From what I've read from Mirrorfootball's 'exclusive' is that an Arsenal fan group are planning to
put bin-liners on all empty seats in the ground, in the next home match vs Blackburn, to highlight
dwindling attendances... One problem with that chaps Arsenal play to a full house practically every
game.
This January's Arsenal transfer news was relatively quiet at the Emirates Stadium, with Thierry
Henry returning to the club on loan from New York Red Bulls and German teenager Thomas Eisfeld
arriving from Borussia Dortmund for a modest fee.
However, activity has not always been this sedate at Arsenal, with Arsene Wenger making some
surprising and at times, blockbuster signings in January.

It was the best of times. It was the worst of times. Naturally, I'm describing Arsenal's
2011-2012 season. I'm a nice guy, and I don't want to hold Arsene wholly accountable for the team's
woes, particularly due to the simple fact that, well, that's what everybody else already does.

It took a cool £8million to get the case to this stage, where a joyful Harry Redknapp walks
free from Southwark Crown Court and back to Tottenham and their title charge. Hardly a sensible use
of money?
While Arsenal fans will no doubt be crying into their free-trade cappuccinos, Sky Sports News
will no doubt be breathing a sigh of relief.

Ducky's Note: 'Neutral' Arsenal fan Swaroop is back after a long hiatus (and with some spare
time from his proper-journalism course at Newcastle) to look at whether a handshake is such a big
deal and while we condemn the racism, we shouldn't stoke the fire by blowing up every little act
remotely related to it.
Rumours of Jose Mourinho wanting to leave Real Madrid for the Premiership would mean only one
thing: he is heading for Manchester. Since his famous Champions League win with Porto in 2004,
Mourinho has had no desire to manage any side lacking truly world-class pedigree. For this very
reason, a return to a depleted Chelsea side is not on the cards.
Last night, a string of abusive tweets towards Arsenal fans started appearing on Adebayor's
official verified twitter account. Was he feeling the love of Valentines day and sharing it with
Arsenal fans? Sick of the abuse from Arsenal fans and getting his own back? Drunk and stoking the
flames ahead of the North London Derby?
Getting bleaker
When Chelsea went into half time in their match against Birmingham trailing by a solitary goal,
the Chelsea fans went into frenzy. They were booing and offered their team no support whatsoever.
It got worse, they were singing Mourinho songs. At the Stadium of Light, the travelling Arsenal
fans were facing the same situation but resorted to none of those sorts.
The numbers simply don't lie: Seven years without a trophy. The worst Arsenal team in ten years.
Arsenal appears to be in a state of crisis, but there are yet more questions than answers
concerning any resolution. Arsenal fans are demanding to know whether Arsene had access to the fat
reserve account, whether he should be the target of blame and villified or else forgiven.
Another week, another disappointment. I undertook this column the week before the Carling Cup
Final last February and it's kind of felt like I've been firefighting an overwhelming tide of
negativity ever since. That's not necessarily because I have felt positive about what we have
witnessed over the last twelve months per se.
Reports doing the rounds have tipped both Jose Mourinho and Pep Guardiola to leave their Spanish
clubs at the end of the season, for London clubs Chelsea and Arsenal respectively. However, it is
still not known how true these claims are.
Despite these reports, Mourinho has spoken out on his future saying that he has no plans of
leaving Spanish giants Real Madrid any time soon.
Today's post comes from friend of the blog, Bobby. Enjoy:
In last week's Guardian, Michael Cox asked: what are Arsenal good at? It was a fair question and
one that went to the very heart of Arsenal's perceived decline. They no longer seemed to have an
identity. Against Sunderland, they were moving the ball slowly; they looked heavy legged across
midfield; they were making careless errors at the back; and all this with experienced personnel in
almost every position.
In the wake of Arsenal's stunning come-from-behind victory over Tottenham, the Gunners' ability
to secure a much-needed spot in the top four is still quite a valid concern. Arsenal fans are once
again compelled to rejoice in a win that may or may not ultimately end up making the significant
difference we would all sincerely like to believe it made.
Arsenal fans are no strangers to consolatory victories. After contriving to exit competition
after competition every season like a seasoned stack of dominos, the team turns up in spades
against one daunting opponent, blows them out of the water and licks the wounds of an incompetent
season with this fleeting moment of sunshine.
Only three weeks ago after the FA Cup exit away to Sunderland and the disaster in the San Siro
even the most positive of Arsenal fans was starting to doubt that this team had the necessary
cojones to get us back in to the Champions League qualification places. Two morale boosting wins in
the Premier League against much feted domestic opposition and the demolition of the Italian
Champions elect at The Home of Football and all of a sudden the despair and gloom around he club as
gone, players returning from injury, the media saying nice things about the boss, and the players,
life was okay again.
Arsenal's summer signing, Andre Santos revealed that after few months playing in the
premiership, the left back finally adapted to life in London, stating his joy of being treated
wonderfully by the staffs and also fans, urging him to try and make history at Emirates.
The left back also feels the need to repay all of those who immediately puts faith on him,
despite there have been many questions regarding his quality especially since he only came from
Turkey league.
3 Lungs
While I'm sure the players are glad for the extra days of rest, it's a sentiment not shared by
Arsenal fans all around the world. Frankly, we've missed them already. Tomorrow could not come any
quicker. There's several things surrounding the QPR match.
First of all, it will be the anniversary of David Rocastle's death.
