Exaggerate them, make them seem worse than they are, really stretch out the time it will take
for the player to come back.
Why?
Is it not obvious?
This new Walcott injury and the manager's comments on the official website seem not quite
fitting to me, on one hand the injury is not as bad as expected as the scan is clear, but then he
says it will be up to 6 weeks till we see him again in an Arsenal shirt.
Cesc Fabregas was in talismanic form as he helped dismantle Sporting Braga 6-0 in Champions
League Matchday 1.

On the face of it this was another quintessential Arsenal victory against Sporting Braga but
this 6-0 demolishing of the Champions League débutantes was built on clinical attacking play
and a solid defensive foundation.
In his press conference after the Braga game Arsene was asked if he expected Wilshere to play a
central role so early in the season. In his usual forthright manner Arsene shared his wisdom,
Honestly, no. But football teaches you one thing be open-minded and never have a definite
opinion.
With Manuel Almunia as number one choice, Arsenal will not win a trophy. It's as simple as that
really.
The Spanish keeper made another embarrassing mistake yesterday which helped West Brom earn a
shock 3-2 victory at the Emirates stadium.
It seems to me that the majority of Arsenal fans wanted the club to sign either Mark Schwarzer
or Shay Given, who were both linked with moves to the club.
Good Supporters? By Paul Fowler A few months ago I made a conscious decision never ever to post any
opinions on football blogs again. Being a fervent gooner, and apparently currently undergoing the
phenomenon that is trophy-cold-turkey which if you believe the press, is a football condition only
experienced by Arsenal fans I [.
Calamity keeper remains the best of an achingly bad lot It seems that Monsieur Wenger has made his
bed... and now must lie in it. After a month in which Arsenal fans, football fans and Almunia's
family assumed a goalkeeper would be bought, Arsene Wenger did not make a deadline day purchase. It
is fair to say [.
Ruud van Nistelrooy was never a popular character amongst Arsenal fans but this hatred climaxed
at Old Trafford at the start of the 2003/2004 season.
Patrick Vieira was on a yellow card when from the floor, he kicked out at Ruud, and was shown a
second yellow and sent off. Ruud made a meal of it and this incensed the Arsenal players and
fans.
Young 21 years old Carlos Vela has sent a message to his home country Mexico today, as he
converted calmly and with great composure a lovely Cesc Fabregas delivery to make it 4:1 for the
Gunners against the Trotters.
The Mexican has received really bad treating by his fellow natives as well as the Mexican
press in the last week , especially the latter ones have produced stories which are really far
from reality.
I am sure you have all read Adam Kemp's post on real Arsenal fans only coming from North London,
well today's Guest Post is from a REAL Gooner that lives in Belgium! Walter Broeckx is a regular
poster over on Tony Attwood's Untold Arsenal but this is his first one on Just Arsenal News. He

Harry Redknapp, the Tottenham manager, has already said signing Gallas on a free transfer was an
excellent piece of business for Tottenham Hotspur. Arsene Wenger, the Arsenal manager, today
conceded that he could understand why Gallas chose to move to Tottenham. Obviously there are
logistical issues.
I have a dream. By Paul Blythe (With obvious apologies) Fourteen years ago, a great Frenchman, in
whose symbolic shadow we stand, signed the first of his many contracts. This momentous decree came
as a great beacon light of hope to millions of Arsenal Fans who had been seared in the flames of
the withering [.
Dissect the West Brom game as much as you want, but it won't make any difference to the
result.
I sat through the whole game in the Clock End Upper (love saying that as opposed to the South
Stand), right smack behind the goal, so had a wonderful vantage point over the course of the
miserable afternoon.
Read between the lines. By Terence McGovern So the annual financial figures are in and all is rosy
in the garden. It is notable however that many Arsenal fans are not exactly overcome with
enthusiasm about it and so we should ask ourselves, what we want from these figures and really at
the end of [..
While Arsenal fans the world over believed that Arsene Wenger was working frantically to get a new
goalkeeper for his team, and Mark Schwarzer was just inches away from arriving at the Emirates, it
seems that there was no new talks with Fulham on deadline day. There were numerous reports that
Arsenal had put in an [.
I was approached by a writer who works for a popular travel comparison site wanting to give
Arsenal fans information ahead of their ventures into Europe for the Champions League. I thought it
would be a good idea and something quite unique. Your feedback is appreciated and I hope this is of
help..
I have a new Guest Post today from Ralph J, who is one of our more positive posters. There has been
much wailing and wringing of hands since the transfer window closed without a new goalkeeper
arriving at the Emirates, but Ralph thinks it is best we just forget that now and....... Arsenal
fans unite!

Morning, arse fans. Assume the position and prepare yourselves for a stunning array of news
stories that might even make you slightly moist with excitement.
Oh, wait, etc.
No, I'm afraid that won't be happening today. The interlull is most definitely upon us, and it
means that proper football stories are few and far between.

Arsenal defender Thomas Vermaelen has wedged his Flemish size-9s firmly in his
stroopwaffel-hole by talking of the love that dare not speak it's name at the Emirates i.e. the
immortal bond which exists between captain Cesc Fabregas and his boyhood club
Barcelona.
When a whole week and the weekend has passed without any decent football of sorts, any fan (yes,
including all the types mentioned in our previous post) is bound to get
withdrawal. This 'international break' has been especially suckily timed, considering the season
just got underway, most teams are just finding their feet and most fans are just finding their
voices.
At last we have some good news for Arsenal fans as three top players that were lacking in fitness
managed to come through a full 90 minutes last night. The reserve team had a tricky game lined up
against Blackburn and Neil Banfield's side had to come from behind twice to win the game 4-3.
Denilson [.

It was smooth sailing for England as they celebrated a Wayne Rooney goal in the
first 10 minutes of their Euro 2012 campaign against Switzerland, which ended with a 3-1 win.
However, for Arsenal fans the main focus was on Theo Walcott's injury.
The international break was not one for Arsenal fans. First Theo Walcott was carried off during
England's game against Switzerland after injuring his ankle. He was sent to the hospital for x-rays
which is not promising. Expect Walcott to miss at least this weekend against Bolton as well as next
week's Champions League opener.
When Arsene Wenger revealed that the goalkeeper who started at Anfield on August 15th would be
Arsenal's no.1 for the 2010/11 campaign, most Gooners began to worry.
The Gunners chief failed to land Fulham's Mark Schwarzer despite a summer of interest, while
Almunia had admitted that the possible imminent arrival of another experienced goalkeeper at
Arsenal would be unsettling.
Arsenal returns to action today in the comfort of the Grove and will be looking to continue
their unbeaten start to the season. That sounds pretty good except for the fact that this is only
the fourth game of a very long league season and being unbeaten thus far is not something much to
shout about.

As another Saturday passes, another round of fixtures nears on completion. However, players are
now beginning to feel the effect of having played, potentially, 8 games since the season started a
month ago.
Tottenham are the hardest hit so far, I believe, with Gomes, Dawson and Defoe all definite long
term absentees with Modric on the brink of joining the list that can also accommodate King and
Woodgate.
According to most Arsenal fans and the man himself, Cesc Fabregas' form against Blackburn wasn't
the best. A number of reasons have been put forward for this: he has been unsettled by the summer
transfer ...
Not a great deal going on today as we wait on word on just how severe Abou Diaby's injury is,
but there are a couple of things worth talking about:
First, Cesc has come out and said that the team trusts Almunia. The rudder of the Arsenal says:
"He is well-loved player among everybody here and performs well for this club.
I am very surprised we have not heard more on how his scans/x-rays etc have gone.
As I am sure most of you have seen already via all the pics and vids up on other gooner blogs,
surrounding the diabolical challenge by the northern monkey from Bolton, it aint pretty.
If the news from AW during the champs league press conference tommorw afternoon is out for 4-6
weeks, it won't surprise me.
It's only Braga in the ECL Matchday 1 tonight, not Real or Barca, but I am just so god damn
excited about watching this Arsenal team right now.
Cesc and Tomas are really orchestrating a beautiful symphony that gets played out on the
Emirates pitch, with Chamakh leading the line to perfection and bringing others into play with his
100% unselfish play, it's just a pure piece of heaven when we see our beloved team play.

It was a massive win on Saturday by the Arsenal at Ewood Park and was followed up nicely in the
Champions League. We overturned our woeful result of April in the very same ground and won away to
a Fat Sam managed team, which we haven't done since 2002, and that includes the Invincibles.
It's nice to see us sitting with 7 points in EPL after two tough away trips, and to say, we
haven't even hit top form is something nice to know.
Have you noticed the difference in the team morale this season?
I certainly have, they all celebrate together, no big sulksters mooching around playing for
themselves.
No bawling at your left-back and killing his confidence.
Gallas was a liabilty, he might have been a handy defender, but was he not at the heart of the
defence that leaked all those goals?
I'm still a bit good
The result against Braga was only the second clean sheet of the season for Arsenal. 5 games have
already been played and Manuel Almunia have played every single minute of those games. With all
that have been going about the possible transfer of Mark Schwarzer to the club, it could easily
have negative impact on Almunia's performance but credit to the Spaniard that he took that as a
challenge to up his game instead.
I have spent the summer listening to Arsenal fans saying that Arsene Wenger should be spending some
of the massive profits he has made from selling players to improve the Arsenal squad. They
intimated that if he spent even half of the profits made, Arsenal would be able to compete with the
Chelsea and Man [.
I heard an important point raised on the Arsenal Fan Forum show last Friday night.
Gael Clichy has not got the technical ability to do anything worthwhile with the ball in the
final third of the pitch, he is wonderful at getting into the correct areas when we are on the
front foot, but due to his inability to reach his own man with the ball.
A truly great weekend of football was witnessed during Gameweek 5 where football fans saw enough
goals, controversy, late drama and skill to once again prove the Premier League as the world's most
exciting domestic league. Manchester United v Liverpool will steal most of the headlines, yet there
was some great football played in matches featuring Tottenham v Wolves, Everton v Newcastle and
West Brom v Birmingham City that shouldn't go unnoticed.
The little Russian striker Andrei Arshavin has been musing on the strange game at Sunderland on
Saturday, and says that although the Arsenal fans won't be happy with the final result, they should
"understand that our victories are ahead". "Today we had, as expected, a difficult match." he said.
"Our opponent played well, but I [.
Out of sorts
After only 5 Premier League games, Arsenal are currently sitting in the 2nd spot in the table.
That is just 4 points behind leaders Chelsea and a whopping 10 goals behind them already. It puts
us level on points with Manchester United with an advantage of 3 goals extra for us. Slightly
behind are Manchester City and Sp*rs, who are both 3 points behind us.
Mickey Mouse Cup. Spurs are shit.
It's that time of year again the glorified reserves tournament (for Arsenal, anyway) known as
the Carling Cup. I wrote about my feelings on the way the club approaches this competition last
year, and since nothing has changed and I'm on nurse duty for MLSGF, who had her wisdom teeth
removed this morning, I'll just direct you to what I wrote last year:
Well, the Carling Cup is here.
