Arsenal fans have spent the past day coming to this blog saying that their club and their fans
are way too classy to sing the type of songs sections of Manchester United fans sing at
Arsene Wenger.
They of course fail to acknowledge sections of their fans replicate the hissing noise of the gas
chambers when they play Tottenham Hotspur.
This weekend's fixture cancellations have created many losers in the Premier League, with perhaps
the biggest loser of all Arsenal's young goalkeeper Wojciech Szczesny, who missed out on the
opportunity to show that he is a man capable of becoming the long-term solution to Arsenal's
ongoing goalkeeping crisis.
Last week, sports sections in all the European newspapers were full of the controversy
surrounding the Real Madrid/ Ajax game in the UEFA Champions League . Aside from Real's dominating
4-0 win over the Dutch giants, the major news story cpncerned the two red-cards given to Real
players Xabi Alonso and Sergio Ramos.
Forget that he played in the World Cup, he was rushed back to lead the line for the Dutch but
never actually looked quite right.
Moreover, the lone striker role is just not playing to the strengths of the spikey former
Feyenoord man.
I am hugely excited about the new deep lying forward and or roaming number 10, tip of midfield
trio, free role thingey he has going on for him now.
Many would argue that the last genuine "Mr Arsenal" we had was TA06, that rare breed of a one
club man, while others would say that PV04 and TH14 were club heroes in their own equally memorable
way. To me such a player is someone who you cannot imagine playing in any kit other than our red
and white, can we say that of any of our current squad?
I haven't had the chance to look at the United game again or to even study the chalkboards and
there is plenty of chat on the internet about that, most of which is just zero-value noise, so I
thought it's best to leave that game aside for a day or two. I do want to discuss how Manchester
United have a much better organized collective defensive system (best in the League if not the best
in the world) but it'll take some work.
The only time Vidic failed to block
Unlike previous seasons, no matter how bad we were, Arsenal always manages to get good runs of
fixtures (by that I mean victories or undefeated) in spurts throughout the season. So far, we have
not make that happen yet. After a couple of good away wins, we lost at home against our hated
rival.

Bring it on, Arsenal fans said. BRING IT ON. Bring on one of the greatest teams ever to play
football. And lo, Arsenal will face Barcelona in the last 16 of this season's Champions League. I
hope Gooners are happy now. They got their wish and it will take something of a football miracle
for Arsenal to make it through two legs against Messi, Xavi, Iniesta and co.
Firstly, I would like to thank all those who wrote such kind words regarding my piece in the
Arsenal in the Community book. Secondly, I would like to thank Peaches and Rasp for establishing
such a hotbed of creative activity.
Which has nothing whatsoever to do with Stoke, particularly the "hotbed of creative
activity!
With 21,500 followers and counting, Wojciech Szczesny's account on Twitter is incredibly popular
with Arsenal fans, a place where the goalkeeper can deliver his messages to fans every time he
wants to. Speaking to Arsenal TV ...

We all have blood running through our veins; I'm just the same with the exception that my red
and white cells equal Arsenal. You see Arsenal is as much a part of me as my blood we are totally
inseparable, one without the other is simply impossible.
My family ties with Arsenal go back to 1913 (almost a century) when my maternal Grandfather
witnessed the first game at Highbury.
A fresh problem is threatening to hit Liverpool as several out-of-favour players are refusing to
walk away from highly paid contracts.
Manager Roy Hodgson and director of football strategy Damien Comolli want to reshape the club's
25-man Premier League squad but are being held up because certain players will not go unless their
Anfield salaries are matched elsewhere.
Arsene Wenger saw his much-changed team beat Wigan 2-0 to reach the semi-finals of the Carling Cup,
but although Man Utd were knocked out, it doesn't mean that Arsenal are now certainties to win
their first trophy in five years. They are certainly now hot favourites with the bookies. He was
asked if Arsenal fans were [.

No doubt thanks to this infernal snow, transfer gossip is a little thin on the ground this
morning so hearty thanks must go out to the Daily Mirror and their bumper
seven-pronged doozy of a rumour.
After 17 months of unswerving loyalty, the Mirror are claiming that nigh-on-unlovable Manchester
City striker Emmanuel Adebayor is ready to 'dig in his heels' and force a January
loan move to Tottenham.
Arsenal fans have been waiting with baited breath for the official arrival of the young Brazilian
Wellington Silva in January when he turns 18, but there have been serious doubts about the
youngsters discipline and commitment since the deal to take him to the Emirates was made early this
year. Arsenal have had Wellington over for [.
Experiencing his first season at the premier league with Arsenal, it doesn't take long for
Marouane Chamakh to take away the fans heart although the season is still at it's early phase.
Aside from his immense contribution of scoring 10 goals from 17 starts already, the Moroccan
striker revealed that another important thing that makes him loved by the supporters is because of
his attitude on the pitch.
Arsene Wenger quietly tried to sign Mark Schwarzer from Fulham all during the summer, but the cat
was originally let out of the bag by Arsenal vice-chairman Peter Hill-Wood when he revealed an
offer had been turned down by the Fulham bosses. After that there were millions of Arsenal fans at
online betting sites putting [.
Arsene Wenger pinpointed the defence as Arsenal's biggest problem last season, and responded by
getting rid of Sol Campbell, William Gallas, Phillipe Senderos and Armand Traore, leaving just
Thomas Vermaelen as head centre-back. Thankfully the arrival of Laurent Koscielny and Sebastien
Squillaci gave the Arsenal fans hope that this season would see an improvement at the [.
Arsenal striker Marouane Chamakh believes his heart and commitment is the main reason why he so
quickly became a favourite amongst Arsenal fans. Speaking to the Club's official website, the
Moroccan International said how he always ...
Playing cack and winning might just be the new playing superbly and losing. At least this seems
to be the case down at the Emirates.
Over the past 5 years or so Arsenal have held the reputation of being England's representatives
of the beautiful game.
Pace, style, skill, creativity and disturbingly accurate passing.
Arsenal 3-1 Partizan
The performance was rubbish, the result was key. Isn't that what good teams are supposed to
do?
Before I comment on the game itself there is a subject that has been really bothering me over
the past season or two and that is the abuse that Denilson seems to get from his own fans.
It's that time of year again. Manchester United play Arsenal so Sir Alex Ferguson feels the need
to try and placate our fans and stop us singing songs about Arsene Wenger being a paedophile by
likening them to Munich chants.
I'm not for one second suggesting that United fans should call a grown man and father a
paedo.
Patrice Evra, who is not a popular guy amongst Arsenal fans after saying our Champions League
semi-final battering at the Emirates was like 'men against boys/babies', has rubbed further salt in
the wounds.
Arsenal's last trophy came in 2005 after beating United on penalties. Since then, United have
won three league titles, the European Cup, three League Cups and World Club Cup.
Morning to you. The thaw is well and truly on, not in time to save football last night but
Sunday should be fine. I had to replace an hour of 5-a-side with an hour of drinking Rioja and
playing FIFA 11, it's close enough to what happens on the pitch.
Now, a lot has been said about the comments from Patrice Evra.
Evra might find a little more than Denilson snapping at his legs
Let's start off the post with something else other than the upcoming match against United. Let's
take a look at a real legend, Mr Arsenal himself, Tony Adams. We all know he went to Azerbaijan to
coach a club but it's hard to get any real look at how he's actually doing.

The words Old Trafford always brings a shiver down the spine because Man Utd are the biggest
club in football. Perhaps Barca and Real could dispute their crown but MU play in a competitive
league which they have dominated for quarter of a century. I always get excited by this fixture, it
is one of the glamour games of the year and when both teams are on form almost guarantees an
enthralling spectacle however neither side is on form at present and I fear the worldwide audience
will be disappointed if they expect a feast of football akin to the recent Barca v Real game.

Morning all,
the focus now moves away from Monday and onto Saturday's game against Stoke City RFC. Pubis and
his merry men, led by Lennie of course, will come and make life very difficult for us with their
long throws and their long throws and their long throws. And, to give them credit, they're good at
that.
Thursday morning and the inquest into Arsenal's latest big match disappointment rumbles on.
Arsenal fans the world over are rightly disappointed that we have now gone 11 games without victory
against either United or Chelsea. Whilst I find it difficult to say that you can take positives
from any defeat, I do think it's worth noting that we didn't lose in the same manner as we have in
many of those 11 games.
Ahead of Manchester United's game against Arsenal, Patrice Evra claimed our opponents were in
crisis, after going over half a decade without any silverware. Considering United haven't gone
longer than one season without a trophy since Sir Alex Won his first in 1990, 20 years ago, it's
hard to argue with what Evra is saying.
The fact is that Arsenal lose big games. This is not an exaggeration. It's not painting lipstick
on a pig, either. Les Gooners lose when they're up against Manchester United or Chelsea.
Having lost eleven and drawn one of their last twelve encounters, it's an indisputable fact. Even
more stinging is this season's loss to their North London rivals Tottenham Hotspur.
Former Arsenal goalkeeper David Seaman believes Arsene Wenger is still the man to lead the Gunners
to success as he asked Arsenal fans to be patient and trust their manager. Speaking to Sport.co.uk,
the 47-year explained ...
White Arsenal
As the white snow descended layer upon layer on the Grove, Arsenal fans like myself have to live
up the fact that it will be another 8 days before we see our beloved team in action again. Referee
Lee Mason decided that the conditions did not allow for a football game to be played.
The sacking season is upon us. In the past couple of weeks, Newcastle has fired Chris Hughton and
Blackburn Rovers has dismissed Sam Allardyce. It's difficult to believe that at least one more
chairman won't mark the turn of the year by pulling the trigger -- Hughton and Allardyce were in
mid-table, after all.
Alisher Usmanov has said he wants to raise his stake in Arsenal Holdings Plc to 29.9%, which
would help him to block any takeover attempts of the club.
Usmanov, who currently holds 27% of Arsenal, made the statement on Russian television today.
"I chose to invest significant money in Arsenal because I consider it to be one the world's most
well-structured football clubs, with one of the best stadiums and led by a genius coach, Arsene
Wenger," Usmanov said in the Russian broadcast.
Arsene Wenger has spoken of Monday night and states that he doesn't expect a Chelsea weakness. He
said:
"Chelsea have gone through a period where results are a bit less good but that can
happen to anyone in this league," he said. "We have seen recently that any team, when you think
they are on the brink of breaking through, can have a hiccup.
Carlo Ancelotti has spoken ahead of Arsenal on Monday and believes that they fear Didier Drogba.
The
Arsenal fans have had their say on my site earlier in the week and it's a fact that
Carlo was keen to point out to the listening reporters. He said:
"Arsenal have fantastic ability and are able to play fantastic football, but maybe they
concede something defensively, so we have to use our ability to find the right space to create
difficulty in their defensive line.
David Seaman has spoken out about the treatment Ashley Cole had at the club which you have to say
is somewhat surprising. Of course there will be stories and quotes ahead of tomorrow as the press
and media build up to one of the biggest games of the season, but for Seaman to speak out against
Arsenal it will raise a few eyebrows to say the least.
Lost, languid, lonely... Ancelotti stood motionless on the touchline, both hands thrust in
pockets, his mood no doubt as black as his winter over-coat.
In complete contrast was the mood of the scoreboard operator at The Emirates Stadium. Surely not
even he could have predicted that Arsenal would gobble Chelsea up like a box of posh truffles being
offered around on Christmas Day.
