These players are not worthy of wearing the shirts of Liverpool, Arsenal, Chelsea, Manchester
United, Tottenham, West Ham, Hull, Aston Villa and Man City.
Phillip Degen (Liverpool)
Why this guy was ever purchased is a mystery as complex and pointless as The Da Vinci Code.
Transfer rumour mill is heating up with many players being linked to Arsenal, but our old
favourite appears to be top of the list. Yaya Toure is being tipped as wanting to come to Arsenal
and team up with his brother. Wenger is a fan of Yaya, we had home on trial several years ago,
but due to work permit problems, we were unable to sign him.

Arsene will be focusing on rebuilding his central defence this summer. This rebuilding has
started with the acquisition of Thomas Vermaelen, but it will not and cannot end here.
Of the central defenders on our books from last season, four of them have contract that expire
next summer.
Just when Arsenal fans may have been getting excited about a potential big-money signing, it
appears that a not-so-nice Old Lady has yanked the rug out from under them. However, some recent
developments could yet see some light at the end of the tunnel, but that's where cautious optimism
comes in.
This weekend's headlines were stolen by Emmauel Adebayor even before a ball was
kicked. Saturday morning, Adebayor finally lashed out at his former club Arsenal,
moments before the Gunners kicked-off a challenging visit to the
Eastlands.
Yes they are not Millwall fans. Adebayor would be nothing more than a brutally murdered corpse
right now if he was in the 'den'.Adebayor had earlier commented that, "Arsenal have a lot of fans
who are not fans.""Arsenal have fans from America and Jamaica. Today they are Arsenal fans,
tomorrow they will be Liverpool fans and after tomorrow they will be Manchester United fans.
In one of my many attempts at avoiding getting a proper career, there was a time when I worked
for Amazon.com customer service. Basically, the job involved replying to the emails sent to
customer service by anyone who had used the .com site and had a problem or query and getting paid
silly money to do so (silly in the good way).
The start of the new season brings with it hope and expectation for everyone, fans, managers and
players alike. It does not matter what happened last season or in the summer, the slate is wiped
clean come August and we are all allowed to dream.
For the precocious teenagers at clubs around England they are hoping this will be the season
that will make their dreams come true.
Arsenal fans who feel hard done by after their striker Eduardo was handed a ban for going down
like the proverbial sack of potatoes may point to the likes of Liverpool's Gerrard and Manchester
United's Rooney when discussing the matter to UEFA.

Hello everybody and welcome to this fascinating discussion of Arsenal's new away kit for the
2009/2010 season. I am writing about away kits simply for the fact that I don't want to talk about
transfers yet, which is all the newspapers are talking about already. So you're stuck with away
kits today.
You can't wait to watch Manchester derby tomorrow in Old Trafford? Are you kind of disappointed
because you won't see City's star 'Manu' Adebayor in the pitch? Are you an Arsenal fan fed up with
your team's last performances and bored enough to play the first random game you could find? Well,
we have this for [.

Reports coming out of Italy, courtesy of newspaper La Repubblica, say that plans are
being drawn up by Ultras to cause massive trouble on the night of the Champions League Final, 27
May.
The report by the newspaper claims that the Italian DIGOS (Division of Special Investigations
and Organised Crime) are fearing that Barcelona and Roma fans/hooligans/Ultras will join together
to fight Manchester United fans.
WTF!
Sections of the Italian media are speculating that Milan president Silvio Berlusconi
will announce a big-money signing for the club on Monday night before the Trofeo Berlusconi, and
according to UnoNotizie.it this player will be Arsenal's Cesc Fabregas.
The €30-35 million required to complete this capture will be recovered in part by the sale of
Andrea Pirlo to Chelsea.
For some, this may be a controversial article but I felt the need to write it when I saw all the
criticism Diaby received after the United game. Let's put things into perspective quickly; everyone
bar United fans and Fergie knew that we deserved to win the game, with only a nightmare 5 minute
spell costing us.
Well this is not even a Photoshop job! Someone actually did this to their car and Wenger posed at
the back of it..maybe he is a fan of caricature art? I'm sure Arsenal fans will find this picture
offensive in someway...so I'm leaving the captions up to you The Prof seems to be happy with his
mini-me, as [.
So, now that John Terry's staying at Chelsea, surely there's nothing to fill up the transfer
pages, right?
Far from it, as Monday saw plenty of money change hands (or get ready to). We've got a few
big-money deals to add to the latest updates to our summer transfer lists, and there are a few more
that are not too far behind, according to this morning's roundup of transfer tidbits.
While the Premier League was buzzing about Emmanuel Adebayor's confrontation with Arsenal fans, AS
Roma midfielder Daniele De Rossi was involved in a confrontation of his own against AC Siena fans
in Sunday Seria A match which left the player in tears at the end of 90 minutes. It was reported
that Siena fans were singing [.
Brazilian midfielder Denilson has been rated as the 16th most efficient player in the Premier
League by statistics experts Actim Index. Despite being criticised by many Arsenal fans this
season, Denilson proved to be a reliable figure in central midfield during Cesc Fabregas'
three-month absence.
So Arsène Wenger has done it again. Not content with making one big money,
straight-to-first-team signing this year, he has gone and produced another.
The need for a new centre half at the Emirates has been well documented (and slightly
exaggerated if you ask me) of late, with Kolo Touré's alarming loss of form, William Gallas'
injury and temperament issues, and Mikaël Silvestre's.
Arsenal fans want a similar implementation of Barcelona's formation but it is not as simple as
4-3-3.

"Pressure, pressure, pressure!" Pep Guradiola insists were it not for the suffocating pressuring
of opponents caused by his team, his side would not have been as successful.
If there was ever a put down, then Bordeaux President Jean-Louis Triaud takes the top prize.
On hearing that Sunderland were interested in Marouane Chamakh, he merely stated, "I don't want
to insult Sunderland, but I don't even know where they finished last season.
"You have heard him say he will only sign for a big English club.
COS contributor Daniel Morgan discusses the issue of five Gunners stars Wenger failed to replace

Okay, summer is here, and you know what that means. Fun in the sun, kids out of school, and
ludicrous transfer rumors. Travis and I will certainly be posting/updating this site regularly this
summer as things pop up (although if you're interested in, you know, actual football, I encourage
you to check out The Offside's MLS page, which Travis does a fantastic job with), but I thought I'd
go ahead and do a little "summer preview" of the ten big questions/stories facing Arsenal this
summer.
Evening Gooners..
So apparently we are on the verge of signing Vermaelen, i want a general feel from all arsenal
fans over what you think about him and the situation where by if he comes in Le sulk himself gallas
is off? Here's were i stand: to be honest i've never been a great fan of gallas, not to say i
particulalry hate him but nor do i particularly like him.
Every fan looks anxiously at the transfer window and starts to wonder who we will sign, when
will we sign anyone and who is leaving the club. For Arsenal fans this is more relevant this
summer. We know from the rumblings around the dressing room, the stands and even in the board-room,
that a failure to win something this season will see top players leave next summer and Arsene's
future will definitely be brought into question.
Arsene Wenger has made his first real statement on the forthcoming season and possible transfer
targets. It was all good news for Arsenal fans.
Arsene stated that he has identified one or two players to come in, in addition to Thomas
Vermaelen. Arsene would like these players to come in before pre-season training starts on 6
July.
The summer transfer market just went off with a couple of high powered Exocet missiles from
central Spain, leaving some of us thinking that nothing will ever be the same again. A seemingly
obscene (vulgar even!) amount of money may be about to change hands with many of Europe's top clubs
in the market for a striker (amongst others).
So i wake up early this Saturday morning, tune into sky sports news hoping to hear some good
news how Chelsea might of lost or all the Scums players broke their legs on the way back from
wembley when i hear that Sunderland of all teams have signed Lorik Cana.
Lets take a step back now, the same Lorik Cana that alot of Arsenal fans are crying out for and
someone who would suit us perfectly and would have been the perfect addition for us!
Early, as yet unconfirmed reports, are stating that Arsenal have agreed a fee with Ajax for
Belgian international Thomas Vermaelen. As yet there are no confirmations on any reliable
sites.
Vermaelen is a centre back and is 23 years old. He has played 21 tiems ofr Belgium.
The fee is reported to be in the region of £10 million.
Before I get into today's roundup, I'd like to give a big thanks to all those, and especially to
Shahryar Noon, who make my job all the easier by helping out with keeping the summer transfer lists
updated and accurate. It's not easy tracking down every transfer out there, so all of the help is
much appreciated, to say the least.
Before playing Arsenal, former Arsenal striker Emmanuel Adebayor said Arsenal supporters are
"not real fans."
"What is good at City is the fans. They love you. Arsenal have a lot of fans who are not fans,"
Adebayor said. "Arsenal have fans from America and Jamaica.
This week the age old melody banter between two sets of fans. Thats right football
chants. Obviously there are some offensive corkers we have left out, but the ones we left in are
equally class. Enjoy!!

Inter and Arsenal could be about to enter negotiations for a deal that would see Mario
Balotelli swap places with Francesc Fabregas.
Various websites are reporting that whilst Wenger fiddles, his transfer targets could be
escaping his clutches or are they really his targets?
It is being reported that Sakho is there for the taking if only we increased our offer and
Bayern Munich are lurking in the background ready to pounce.
Fiorentina have asked for Emmanuel Eboue plus cash for Arsenal to bring Confederations Cup
winner Felipe Melo to the Emirates.
Felipe Melo recently signed a one-year contract extension at Fiorentina - the main purpose of
which now seems to be the addition of a £21m release clause to help La Viola as much money as
possible for the Brazilian midfielder.
