The 2011-12 season ended last night. Okay, there's still sixteen or so games left and a lot can
happen.
But as a sporting competition, as a object of interest and fascination, last night's impotent
display and crashing out of our 3rd cup competition in as many months has us begging for this
once-promising season to just end.
Milan was the venue for Arsenal's travelling support as they went to Italy to cheer the boys on
against a genuine European giant in AC Milan. Unfortunately, some of the travelling hoard managed
to take things a little too far, and there were nasty scenes before the game between fans and
police, after which one Arsenal fan was arrested.
There's a bloke named Winston who arguably has the "best job in the world" if
you're an Arsenal fan. For the love of Redknapp, who the hell is Winston, you ask? He works
exclusively in Arsenal's dressing room at the Emirates stadium, sits in the empty cubicle at the
far left (unoccupied by players) on match-day and ensures that the operations run smoothly.
Another massive three points, especially with Chelsea losing away at WBA, and a big result at a
ground we have struggled at over the years. Any Arsenal fan not satisfied after today's showing
must ask themselves some serious questions about their own mental state. There were many
positives, some negatives, and a lot of big talking points, certainly the absolutely pathetic
behaviour of several

Football truly is a global game, and the biggest teams have millions of fans throughout the
globe. However the draw of the Premier League does not end with Joe Public, as numerous famous
sportspeople from other disciplines follow the beautiful game.
When it was first announced that Thierry Henry would be returning to the club, as an Arsenal
fan, it was always going to be impossible not to get excited about the move.
Some people however, were quick to criticize the deal, stating the 34-year old forward was
"past it" and this was just another "desperate" signing by Arsene
Wenger.

Maybe we are all missing something here, but even the most strident Arsenal fan will admit that
Andrei Arshavin's performances for the club, over the past year or so, have been utter pants.
However, according to a poll taken in Russia last month, the diminutive, under-achieving imp is
still the best sportsperson the country has to offer.
Thierry Henry went from hero to villain in just a matter of days when, following his amazing
match winner against Leeds in the FA Cup, he remonstrated with an Arsenal fan to come onto the
pitch after the game to have a word with the Frenchman.
Arsenal lost the match 3-2 with Swansea playing some excellent passing football, much in the
same style as Arsenal, but won the game following a loose pass from Henry.
Hello. A good a place to start as any, I suppose. You know where you are with hello. It's
comforting, familiar. In the same way it's nice to know that a tiny part of every Arsenal fan's
soul must die when they see Theo Walcott in the number ‘14' shirt each weekend, only to more
often than not play like Lenny Henry rather than the garment's most formidable inhabitant.
From what I've read from Mirrorfootball's 'exclusive' is that an Arsenal fan group are planning to
put bin-liners on all empty seats in the ground, in the next home match vs Blackburn, to highlight
dwindling attendances... One problem with that chaps Arsenal play to a full house practically every
game.
Ducky's Note: 'Neutral' Arsenal fan Swaroop is back after a long hiatus (and with some spare
time from his proper-journalism course at Newcastle) to look at whether a handshake is such a big
deal and while we condemn the racism, we shouldn't stoke the fire by blowing up every little act
remotely related to it.
Key battles against Tottenham by KJ The most important game of the season is today. This is always
important to any Arsenal fan especially so where the tides have changed between the two teams.

The Emirates has often been accused of being antiseptic, lacking atmosphere. This Arsenal fan
put that to rest celebrating wildly after RVP's goal leveled the scores in the north London derby.
A few more unhinged fans like him and the Gunners should have no problems ending their title
drought.

It doesn't add up to a majorly significant episode in the great scheme of Arsenal things in our
club's illustrious history. It won't be remembered as and when those in attendance last night
recollect the famous game at the Emirates when the glorious Gunners came within an outstretched
palm of pulling off a stunning Champions League comeback.
QPR vs Arsenal Match preview and favourite line-up (plus score prediction) by KJ It's happy times
as an Arsenal fan. We're on 7 wins now and can extend that to 8 against Queen Park Rangers. Arsenal
haven't won 8 games on the trot since the Invincibles season. It would show a sign of intent from

As is his perpetual ruddy-faced wont, smarmy 'celebrity' Arsenal fan Piers Morgan took to
Twitter to gloat after his side put the kibosh on Man City's title aspirations at the weekend the
dribble flecking his jowls as he amused precisely no-one but himself by aiming a few choice Tweets
in the direction of City's former-Arsenal contingent.

Arsenal have not had stellar English Players As Consistently As Man United. Man U has had
Beckham, Scholes and now Rooney At the Core of their Side for the Last 20 years, More or less.
Man United's Success is mostly a result of these players.

No doubt cheesy Brit film writer Richard Curtis is already planning to use this incident in his
next twee Hugh Grant vom-com, but Gooner Luke McQueen, who does have more than a touch of the
posh-fop about him, probably deserves some credit after posing outside the Emirates in a Tottenham
shirt.
Meet Luke McQueen. Luke's an Arsenal fan who cheated on his girlfriend. And now he regrets it. By
way of penance, he's turned up at the Emirates Stadium on matchday wearing a Tottenham shirt.
Luckily for you he's also made a short video explaining what he's up to and uploaded it to YouTube
for you [.
A warning...
Don't read this blog if you think that Arsene Wenger walks on water, and don't read this blog
if you lack independent thought and support the club because that is how it is and how it will
always be, and especially do not waste ten precious minutes of your life if you think that writing
a negative blog about the club means that RTK does not love Arsenal.
When Arsenal posted a very emotional message on their website to fans after the departure of our
then captain and talisman people wondered how we would replace him and if we would even get into
the top four in the coming season. Now, in January 2012, he is coming back. Does he still have the
speed?

As an Arsenal fan, you'll have likely placed a few friendly wagers between yourself and friends
about the outcome of matches. Indeed as we all know football betting is big business worldwide and
many players bet on matches for both fun and profit. Today, let's take a quick look about how to

Arsene Wenger was left blaming the referee, Nathan Dyer's sapling legs, his own porous defence,
his own wayward attack and the poor bloke that ladles out the Bovril at the Liberty Stadium after
watching his Arsenal side have their top-four aspirations kicked squarely in the nads in South
Wales yesterday evening.
Hi everyone.
I had the pleasure of writing an article for The Arsenal Collective. This is a wonderful website
where any Gooner can write about their memoires and experiences of being an Arsenal fan.
Click on this link to read my entry - 'The only Arsenal Fan in the Room'.
It's about my experiences of being an Arsenal fan as a kid/young adult.
Henri Lansbury's last game for Arsenal this season was the 8-2 defeat at Old Trafford. He's been
at Arsenal since he was 9-years-old but his worst ever day in football came at the hands of
Manchester United earlier this season.
Two weeks after our demolition of Arsenal, Lansbury signed for West Ham on loan and was quick to
grab their badge when he scored on his debut.

Last Meeting: I don't think there was a last meeting, was there?
Before I launch into not writing the preview of a game that is barely 8 hours away at the time
this is published, I'd like to say What the whaaaaat?
The purple is to make sure the extent of shock is clear. The girl is incidental. Really.
It was ok when Henry lumbered on against Leeds (don't get all self-righteous-Arsenal fan on me
now, you know he looked slower.
Ducky's Note: Die-hard Manc Prashanth speaks
fan-to-fan to the Arsenal fans. We repeat, this is a post by a Manc. So, you know,
#justsaying *runs and ducks behind door. Pun may or may not have been intended*.
No, I don't want to tell you that its okay to lose, or its okay to boo your manager when he
makes a substitution (gamble) trying to win the game.
Do you suffer from any pre-existing conditions?
Ah, that old question on the health insurance form. The one if you answer falsely you're fooked
if they find out and you need to claim, and the one if you answer truthfully are fooked anyway
because it'll make it harder to claim.

Wenger needs to buy five new players now, and five experienced ones at that...
Where would we be without Twitter? It provides us all with a never-ending conveyor belt of
controversy and quirkiness, which us lazy writing types can quickly and easily fashion into a nice
little story.
Arsenal have signed this guy to partner RVP. Alive and kicking?
If you are an Arsenal fan, your level of excitement should be deader than a dodo.
Wayne Bridge goes to Sunderland and Arsenal can heave a sigh of relief. Ravel Morrison, the Man
Utd teenager with a self destructive streak but the skills of a young Paul Scholes, goes to West
Ham.
The first two months of the season were awful, the atmosphere was angry, unsettled and going to
watch the team wasn't at all pleasant. The atmosphere eased after a good run of results, putting us
well back into contention for the Champions League places.
A new year run that has yet to see us win in the league has heralded the return of that
atmosphere, a portion of the fanbase have been very forward with their views on the manager and a
few of the players an injury crisis has not helped matters either all in all, being an Arsenal fan
in the past few weeks has not been the most pleasant of experiences.

Time to upgrade his statue to silver
If you're a Arsenal fan today, you'll be buzzing. Nothing beats coming from behind and winning
by scoring in the final minute of the game. Especially when it's an away game and we weren't firing
on all cylinders. Especially when the winning goal was scored by one of the club's greatest ever
player.
When visiting a foreign land, it's important to locate their most iconic cathedral and get to
work on your day drinking right in front of it. And as seasoned European travelers, Arsenal fans
did just that outside Milan's Piazza del Duomo ahead of Wednesday night's Champions League
match.

Arsenal: The season that promised so little duly delivers - originally posted on

Cesc Fabregas was overtly forthcoming in his love and admiration for Arsenal as he left for
boyhood club Barcelona. His sentiments were admirable and no doubt appreciated by many an Arsenal
fan sympathetic with his situation, but ultimately it was of little consolation as their club lost
a genuinely world class player.
Many of you will now be aware of the Twitter row between cocky celebrity Arsenal fan Piers
Morgan and outspoken fringe player Emmanuel Frimpong that took place last night in the wake of our
2-0 FA Cup exit to Sunderland.
Let me make this clear very early: I detest Piers Morgan. I think he's a vile
attention-seeker.

After a pleasant drive up the A1 with the sun bursting through and illuminating the clouds of
smog over Middlesbrough, we arrived in Sunderland in plenty of time for a pre-match libation. The
William Jameson on Fawcett Street offered fine ales at rock-bottom prices, a combination few can
refuse.
