For most of us on AA, it is impossible to separate our emotions from our club, the two are
intrinsically linked. It's probably fair to say that whilst both games caused a lot of pain, the
Blackburn game probably wounded us deeper than the one at OT, if only because of the
expectation.
Well the transfer window closed last night and unlike windows of the past, Arsenal were doing
business all the way until it slammed shut. Four players were confirmed last night as having
signed, with Park announced the day before. It was clear from the start of the season that Wenger
had to act to change our fortunes and only time will tell if Le Professor has bought correctly.
So, the unmistakeable chimes of Big Ben bring the craziest few months
an Arsenal fan has ever had to endure to a close. We have lost our club captain, we have lost last
seasons best player, and we have been humiliated 8-2 by Man United, yet, with that big bell still
ringing in my ear (insert your own joke!
The signing of Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain from Southampton this summer was met acrimoniously by
many sectors of the Emirates faithful. Over the international break, Chamberlain went some way to
justifying the money that Arsene Wenger paid for the talented teen and giving Arsenal fans a taste
of what is to come.
I mean, come on, it's a valid explanation. Did he?
Apologies for the lateness of this post. I have a tight schedule on weekdays, so writing and
posting stuff is harder for me now. We'll get back to regular programming this weekend for the
Swansea game.
Injuries, well.... injuries SUCK.
In London for the Swansea match tomorrow and decided to take my daughter on a tour of the
Emirates Stadium today.
Arsenal offers two tours. A general tour and one led by an Arsenal legend. Today that legend was
Charlie George and I could not turn down the opportunity to meet the person who scored this goal to
win the double for Arsenal.

This time last week if you had said to any Arsenal fan that their team would have collected a win
against Swansea and a draw in their Champions League opener against Borussia Dortmund I bet 99% of
them would taken those results. Tonight's game was a real test for Arsenal, and they defended
stoutly for [.
If Arsene Wenger's men haven't been winning trophies in the last six years, at least they've
been doing it in style, right?. As an ardent Arsenal fan, I have always had faith in the club's
philosophy and the fluidity in which we play our football. Although many have more than criticised
the club for the empty trophy cabinet and the lack of summer spending, we have always received
heaps of praise for our entertaining football, even if it has become slightly patronising
recently.
We have a torrid start to the season, let's not get deluded we have lost 3 games and are now
languishing at the bottom of the table. This is not acceptable for the fans nor is it acceptable
for Wenger. His comments after Saturday clearly show his frustration with what is happening at
the moment, more so is his inability to do anything about what is happening.

After five matches in the English Premier League 2011/12 season, Arsenal are sitting in 17th
position and have the worst goal difference in the league. It would be unthinkable to suggest that
this is where the club will be at the end of the season, but Arsenal fans are genuinely worried
that Champions League football might be off the table next year.

"Growing Crisis" Continues to Engulf English Media: But Are Arsenal Finally Fighting Back? By: Anne
The constant media chatter concerning Arsenal being in a state of "crisis" should be well familiar
to any Arsenal fan by this point. For example, it has become virtually impossible to open any paper
at all these days without seeing [.
It has taken him 238 games but Robin van Persie has finally become part of the Arsenal 100 club,
the question is will he reach 150 goals at the Emirates?
The Dutchman's contract in North London is due to expire in the summer of 2013 and he is
refusing to rush into penning an improved deal at the club.
I got to thinking about this question in the wake of the most recent Carlos Tevez controversy. I
know he's been a constant headache for years, but the latest news is that he apparently refused to
enter the game on Tuesday, when Mancini summoned him at about the 60 minute mark. Of course, as an
Arsenal fan, I pretty much just laughed at this one, hoping this is the beginning of a downward
slide for Man City this season.
