As both an Arsenal fan and a longtime Los Angeles Galaxy season ticket holder, I have been asked
how I reconcile my support for two different teams. I always reply that supporting Arsenal and
the Galaxy is like having two friends who are destined never to meet. This Saturday at the
Emirates, that quip will be forever buried as my beloved Arsenal takes on Everton who will likely
feature Landon Donovan, the captain of my beloved Galaxy.

Tonight sees Liverpool and Tottenham go head-to-head in the latest battle between the
contenders for fourth spot. If week 22 matches were anything to go by then all teams are doing
their best to give the priceless spot to someone else.
Liverpool's average display against Stoke is a microcosm of their 'pants on the ground' season,
with performances lacking sharpness, imagination and concentration (not bad luck) in dropping
points in key Premier League and Champions League games.
The Nigerian man that attempted to bomb the American plane on Christmas Day lived in London, and
studied at the University College. In an article this evening from the Middle Eastern Financial
Times, it was also revealed that he was an Arsenal fan! The article said: Mr Abdulmutallab,
described as competent in Arabic, had left Yemen [.

After having their first bid rejected and United having their offer accepted, Arsenal put in a
second bid to Fulham which was accepted. Arsene Wenger was a big fan of the young Fulham defender
and was doing all he could to lure him to Arsenal.
However, Sir Alex Ferguson met the player in London on Tuesday night after Fulham's defeat to
Spurs and that was all that was needed to get the deal sorted.
The people at book publishers Pan Macmillan were recently kind enough to send us out a copy of
the latest book by French football journalist and author Philippe Auclair; a book titled Cantona
The Rebel Who Would Be King.
The book provides an extremely thorough account of Eric Cantona's footballing career, from his
life in France to his move to Leeds United in England in 1992, followed by his final and most
memorable period of his career at Manchester United from 1992 until 1997.
Here at In The Stands we are proud to announce that the brilliant LadyArse will be
contributing to our site on a weekly basis. As you may have guessed she is an an Arsenal fan, but
we will make allowances, as her work is well worth the read. So without further ado, here is the
first instalment.
There has been a lot of speculation surrounding Sol Campbell with him being linked to Newcastle,
Manchester United, West Bromwich Albion and even a return to Tottenham. He has being getting back
to full fitness by taking advantage of the amazing training facilities at Arsenal FC.
The former Portsmouth captain's contract ran out in May, playing his last Premier League game
against Wigan and since then, has made his widely publicized transfer to Notts County.
Chelsea In For Johnson
Chelsea are one of a number of clubs tracking Middlesbrough star Adam Johnson.
The only concrete offer thus far, however, has been from Wolves, but their £6.5m bid is
significantly lower than Boro's £10m valuation. (Daily Mail)
Analysis: No matter how you shake it, £6.
It is nearly three years since Arsene Wenger first coined the term 'Sky Sports Justice'
following the Carling Cup final with Chelsea. That day, in case you've forgotten, Adebayor was sent
off for slapping Wayne Bridge, when that was in fact Eboue's action. The press machine went into
overdrive, focusing heavily on the 'brawl', and Eboue in particular, and as a result both clubs
were disproportionately fined, with Eboue banned (Adebayor's ban was not rescinded).
Emmanuel Adebayor and Carlos Tevez, two players obsessed with their former club. Adebayor was
shunned by his fan base, after likening his feelings for being courted by Milan to a fella being
told Beyonce wanted a piece. He fancied himself for getting a move to a club like AC Milan and
Barcelona, but neither came knocking.
Firstly Mark Davies has not sustained a serious injury, and obviously every Arsenal fan would wish
him a quick recovery to footballing action. I am not surprised it is not as serious as some people
feared, as it really wasn't that bad a tackle from Gallas. Paul Robinson, a Bolton player who did
far worse to Cesc at the weekend, called it 'disgusting', obviously this man doesn't possess a
mirror
Apparently American rapper/businessman Jay-Z is a bit of an Arsenal fan. This is a good thing,
because the more US celebrities we get endorsing soccer, the better. However, I can't help thinking
that Jay-Z's support for The Gunners is verging on the patronising. He's apparently offered the
Arsenal players an all-expenses paid trip to New York [.
