This weekend's headlines were stolen by Emmauel Adebayor even before a ball was
kicked. Saturday morning, Adebayor finally lashed out at his former club Arsenal,
moments before the Gunners kicked-off a challenging visit to the
Eastlands.
You can't wait to watch Manchester derby tomorrow in Old Trafford? Are you kind of disappointed
because you won't see City's star 'Manu' Adebayor in the pitch? Are you an Arsenal fan fed up with
your team's last performances and bored enough to play the first random game you could find? Well,
we have this for [.
I have managed to get hold of one Arsenal fan that was in the stands, directly at the front when
everything kicked off against City after Adebayor's goal celebrations.
As it turns out, the 'Elephant' song, as it is being coined in the press, was not sung in the
stands at all. It was the 'Arshavin version'.
Morning Insiders another weeks ends with a 2-1 victory for England yesterday, as you would
expect most of todays papers concentrate on the Internationals. We have managed to find a few
Arsenal related stories from todays papers. Below's a quick roundup:
News Of The World: Manchester City's Robinho and Barca striker Henry will be
the subject of further talks in the January transfer window.
Former Arsenal man has no class whatsoever.
Emmanuel Adebayor has apologised for baiting Arsenal fans after scoring in Manchester
City's 4-2 win at Eastlands.
The former Gunners striker, who joined City in the summer, ran the length of the pitch to
celebrate in front of visiting fans, who reacted furiously.
I completely forgot to mention this in my blog, but as I feel so special, I shall give it it's own
blog and not just an UPDATE on the other one.
Sitting yesterday after the match I was seething/stewing/ranting, sometimes it was one at a
time, sometimes all three. Anyway, You're on Sky Sports was on and I decided I'd send them an
email.
Emmanuel Adebayor evokes some interesting emotions wherever he goes. From his goal-scoring
exploits for Arsenal to back-to-back interviews where he pledged allegiance to Arsenal before
flirting with Barcelona, to his quite obvious Milan fantasy to his bumper contract at Arsenal to a
move to Manchester the next summer, Adebayor had already entertained and infuriated Arsenal
fans.
"Boys, diving is back on the menu".
That might be the most potent message after seeing England's game against Slovenia. And no, UEFA
is not going to do any retrospective video refereeing because it is lowly Slovenia. Rooney can pull
a player's shirt blatantly, fall down, and pretend he got fouled without retribution.
117th bogus story about Cesc this month!
Cesc 'unsure' of Arsenal future
He said: "I do not know if I will leave the Premier League next year. I am happy an it is an
important year for the club.
"I have not spoken to anyone at the moment, although if something has to happen, it will happen
— but currently there is nothing.
Part IVa, My original trilogy has become rather drawn out and repeatedly rewritten because of
the need to keep things current. In earlier sections I dealt with our Club, our Board and of course
AW our manager. In turning to our squad, I have been forced to look at all the players available
and the last instalment dealt with our prospective new Goalkeeping talents.
All over the world tonight, people are cheering on their respective national teams. The
Slovenians, the Georgians, the English, the Danes, just to name a few. As a citizen of a country
with a lowly rank of 127 on the FIFA World Ranking table, I should probably feel a little bit
sorry, a little bit jealous, possibly a little bit angry over the fact that my country has barely
moved up the rankings at all over the years.

Arsenal must be glad to never have to take the trip to Manchester again this season after losing
their second consecutive match. This time it was a 4-2 loss to City, leaving Arsene Wenger happy to
see the Manchester skyline in the rear view mirror.
Having taken a few weeks off to study Arsenal‘s play, I am now back to discuss the latest game
and clarify the recent fear that is tingling inside you.
Following the last two trips to Manchester, I have noticed that many of you have commented on
Arsenal's failure but on the contrary; both games showed that we were very unfortunate.
After a couple disappointing defeats, we were definitely due for a bit of a change. We needed
something new to break out of our rut. Something which combined the best elements of what we had
with something bold and exciting. Something attractive, yet brutally effective.
I'm speaking, of course, of Wenger's new tie.
It's official.
I've said it before so I won't rehash it in too much detail here. Eduardo dived. No doubt about
it. And that embarrasses me as an Arsenal fan. And I don't have any problem with the idea of
banning players for diving.
But the timing of this is very, very questionable.
Looking for that truly one of a kind item? Then go here for the perfect conversation piece for
any Arsenal fan.
It would also make the absolute perfect gift for that very special Arsenal blogger in your life.
Especially one who has an inordinate amount of love for Nicklas Bendtner. And whose birthday was
yesterday.
Our latest contributor to COS, Mr Rant, can get a little carried away so if
there are any small children reading this, we apologise.
I'm sure they just hate English football.
They're talking about bringing in the 6-5 rule. They blame the amount of
foreigners in the English game on the national teams poor showing at recent
international competitions.
Journalist and Arsenal fan Laura Oliver joins Chris Nee and Gary Andrews to talk about Eduardo,
Arsenal, the Premier League, Champions League, Major League Soccer and women's football. Avaialable
