Here is a stunning goal from Newcastle United forward Andy Carroll against Liverpool in the
Premiership on Saturday, December 10, 2010. Stunning 25 yard effort from Carroll- the third goal in
Newcastle's 3-1 win over Liverpool. There were four Liverpool players near Carroll, but none of
them chose to close him down and Carroll took [.

With Manchester United ascending to the top of the English Premier League table following last
weekend's 7-1 dismantling of Blackburn Rovers, the battle of 2010/11 league title may be one of the
most exciting in years with Arsenal, Chelsea and Manchester City also in the mix. Now ESPN's

There was the ponytail.
The bedhead.
And, also, horror.
We realised something last night, Kickettes. We've always been under the impression that David
Beckham could sport purple mad clown hair with orange highlights and a little novelty tea cup hat
and we would still be in hot burning lust.

Dennis Bergkamp is congratulated by Arsenal team-mates Robert Pires and Sylvain Wiltord after

international teamed up with occasional rugby player Gavin Henson for the stunt at Wembley.
There are times when you can barely believe what you see with your own eyes. What happened at Old

title...

Let's be clear about this. We didn't deserve to win this game. But, equally, we didn't deserve
to lose.
And what struck me most about the game was what a pathetic bunch of cheating babies the United
players are.
More about that in a moment, but first a word for Howard Webb:
.
The Barcelona coach Pep Guardiola reckons that his team will be facing a much stronger Arsenal team
than the one that his team met in last season's Champions League Quarter-Finals, and has pinpointed
the improvement of Sami Nasri and the addition of Marouane Chamakh to the side as the key changes,
and of course the [.
Paul Kennedy of Soccer America reports on how the recent Manchester United-Arsenal game was watched
by 570,000 viewers on ESPN2, making it the most-watched English Premier League telecast on U.S.
cable television.
It underscored ESPN's commitment to English soccer.
Football is a funny game. Just over two months ago, I was writing about whether we should just
hand the title over to Chelsea, call the season to an end and let all of England unite in common
hatred against the Aussies over the Ashes. Such was Chelsea's dominance, their tennis scorelines of
6-0, 6-2, 6-1 etc and the general unstoppableness of their scary team from hell that even less than
1/4th into the season seemed like a time fit enough to throw in the towel.
Ever since Chamakh signed for Arsenal there has been a question, how will the Moroccan play with
Van Persie in the same team. Arsene has in the past mentioned that he will look at various options
including a change in formation, something that many fans have been demanding.
Intriguingly enough, we saw Van Persie in a deeper role against Wigan in the Carling Cup.

I've noticed Emmanuel Adebayor could be on his way out of the City Of
Manchester but why was he wearing an Arsenal t-shirt in this interview, while
being a City player.

Bit of an iffy source on this one, but word on Pies Street is that Arsenal have taken goalkeeper
Manuel Almunia to one side and told him that he will be free to leave the club in
the January transfer window.
Almunia's current deal expires in the summer of 2012, but Arsenal are reportedly willing to
offload the 33-year-old for a bit of cash (approx £1-1.

This has to be considered a huge weekend in the Premier League and starting off any column about
the league with anything else - even if that column is more focused on fantasy than reality - just
wouldn't seem right. So many questions to be answered - Can Arsenal consolidate their place at
the top?
I'm finding it a bit difficult to make up my mind for this game. I can see Arsenal scoring three
goals and I can also imagine us conceding three or four. Goes without saying that anything in
between also seems quite possible. We could get a tight win, an exciting draw, or another in the
string of bad losses against United.

Well at least we all now know why the young Norwegian centre-back Havard Nordtveit hasn't been
given his chance to play in the Arsenal first team, even though the Gunners have been having a
defensive crisis this season. He has refused to sign a new contract after returning from his loan
at Nurnberg this summer, and [.

Rafa Benitez is a very good manager. He's won the Champions League, UEFA Cup, La Liga, FA Cup,
and probably a number of other less significant titles. If my memory serves me right the Spaniard
also had the upper hand in his battles with the Dark Lord of Anti-Football when the Portuguese was
at Chelsea.

So, I'm going to keep writing about this until it is picked up as a major story. I've mentioned
it a few times already in First Impressions but has anyone noticed the job that Sir Alex is doing
at ManYoo this season? Seriously. Just incredible. And, yes, I still consider it to be
incredible despite the @sskicking that they got from West Ham in the Carling Cup in mid-week.
Arsenal on Twitter @UntoldArsenal Untold Arsenal on Facebook here by Phil Gregory So the news is

facebook page will know my thoughts already, but I decided to elaborate on them and put together a
quick article.
It seems (and I have to say I am not surprised after seeing his reaction at the time) that Florent
Malouda is in danger of missing Spurs, United and Arsenal if as expected after being asked to
review the "incident" with Phil Neville on Saturday, Referee Lee Probert decides that Malouda
deserved to be sent off for slapping Neville in the face.
I'd love to say that I feel sorry for Emmanuel Adebayor but I just can't.
The man has completely and utterly fucked himself. His career at the moment is right in the balance
and it appears that nobody wants him.
It seems Manchester City, his employers, do not want him and even that shlaaaaaag Harry Redknapp,
who tries to turn all his clubs into mini-Arsenals, has turned a blind eye.

What should have been a practice game is now a real fight thanks to the lacklustre performances
by the second string in the previous two Champions League away games. But I'm confident we should
get through to the next phase.
Interestingly though, I'm wondering if getting knocked out of the Champions League would be that
bad!

Newcastle United 3-1 Liverpool ( Kevin Nolan, Joey Barton, Andy Carroll/ Dirk Kuyt) Late goals from

I never thought I would say this but sometimes I am sick to death of the whining and whinging of my
fellow Gooners.
Of course everyone is entitled to their opinion. I respect that. But sometimes the criticism of
Arsene Wenger, the players and the club in general borders on the verge of hatred.
