Landon Donovan's loan move to Everton has been completed, sources confirmed to SBI on
Thursday.
The U.S. national team star and Los Angeles Galaxy captain will join the Liverpool-based club
when the transfer window opens on Jan.
Once, twice, three times a chump...
That's Arsenal target Marouane Chamakh performing the first two 'megs in a recent match between
Lyon and Bordeaux.
As I continue my move, it's as though I've been transferred:
- DMB leaving Rangers finally?
- Everton taking a look at our Landon Donovan.
- Sol Campbell to save United's defense?
- Liverpool says Aquilani isn't frustrated.
- Fabregas wants a target man at Arsenal.
The Game Finally! There was a moment where I thought this was going to end 1-1 but the lads were
brave enough to hold on and glad to see the strikers helping out in defence when we ...

During the Confederations Cup, we played around with Castrol rankings for the US team. (They
infamously suggested that Onyewu was among the worst defenders in the tournament.)
But Castrol also ranks players playing in the top five leagues. And the rankings are liking
Clint Dempsey, who has climbed 74 places in the rankings.
So I keep reading stuff that has me thinking that United is about to veer off the traditional
get-a-former-DC-guy path and hire a college or even an international coach. That would mean
eschewing the conventional wisdom kind of picks like Richie Williams or Curt Onalfo.
Steven Goff, who has been the only guy able to get any bits of info out of this process keeps
bringing up Akron Coach Caleb Porter as being high on DC's list.
Richardson, Texas, native Lee Nguyen is just 23 years old but his professional
soccer career has already spanned three teams on two continents. The midfielder, who in 2007 was
called "the best-kept secret" in U.S. soccer, also had a training stint at Arsenal earlier this
year.
The Russian midfielder Andrei Arshavin has been giving his usual forthright answers to the press
when asked about his life at Arsenal, but this time he hasn't said anything that will upset Arsene
Wenger! In fact he gives him great praise, and also had something nice to say about the fans. He
said: "Arsene gave me freedom, [.
Roberto Mancini makes his bow as Manchester City manager on Boxing Day then 24 hours later Arsenal
host Aston Villa at Emirates Stadium. Elsewhere on this festive weekend of footballing action,
bottom two teams West Ham United and Portsmouth go head-to-head, league leaders Chelsea make the
trip to Birmingham City, out-of-form Liverpool lock horns with in-form Wolverhampton Wanderers
while Fulham meet London rivals Tottenham Hotspur.
When the game finished, I believe it was Jack Wilshere and Craig Bellamy who swapped shirts.
This was remarkable considering what happened 15 minutes before the game ended.
Wilshere and Bellamy were involved in a semi heated confrontation. Jack was pumped up ready
to land the knockout punch across Bellamy's face.
Both Stoke and Fulham have a double header on Gameweek 20, after missing out on Gameweek 17.
Arsenal and Bolton are the other teams that gameweek who benefit from the revised fixture list.
The tricky part for a lot of players is that by now many have shaped their teams into something
close to what they would like, making the dilemma not so much about who they should transfer in,
rather who they will transfer out.
With Chelsea losing we knew we'd have a new number one team. And with Barcelona winning both games
they played last week, we had a pretty good idea who that team would be. Fine, but what about the
rest of the top 25? Specifically, where would Manchester City end up? They would be included,
right? Only one way to find out folks.
Ok, the latest rumours that is doing the rounds in Barca circles are the possible move of Bojan to
Arsenal in the January window. Arsenal has been plagued by injury problems for their attacking
line-up and Wenger is rumoured to be looking to add Bojan to his squad as a soultion. Bojan has
been having a tough time finding playing time under Guardiola as Pedro is the coach's favourite.
Double trouble for Jens Lehmann the Stuttgart keeper he jumped behind advertising boards, went
down on one knee and wizzed while keeping a keen eye on the ensuing action on the pitch.
But that's not what's landed him in hot water the former Arsenal and Germany keeper also
criticised the board for bowing to pressure from fans in sacking ex-manager Markus Babbel something
the club's director of sport Horst Heldt rejected and countered by saying that:
"The timing was wrong and the remarks were completely wrong.
Liverpool v Arsenal: win or kiss Champions League goodbye - originally posted on

Liverpool fans are on a high after winning the Carling Cup last weekend, with Kenny Dalglish and
Steven Gerrard heralding the triumph as the start of a new era of success for the club. Whether
this season is a success or not may well depend on the outcome of this Saturday's fixture against
Arsenal however.
Before the season started Mr Wenger OBE said this would be the closest Premiership title race
for years.
Yet Abramovich's chequebook was beginning to prove him wrong.
But ‘wow' what a day we had yesterday. Man City the draw kings drew, The top 4 Spuds lost, The
Bancrupts from Salford lost even with the scouse version of Jacques Cousteau in the team .
Steven Gerrard and Daniel Agger threaten Andrei Arshavin with a swirly if he doesn't fork over
the cash during Arsenal's win over Liverpool on Sunday. Arshavin is clearly about to run away, in
fear of getting stuffed in his locker again.

There's no doubt that the Premier League season is heating up. The last few weeks have been
extremely entertaining. And, for the casual observer, it's wonderful to see the Big Four teams
getting beat. But there were two incidents on Saturday that I found deplorable. The first was
Javier Mascherano's horror tackle on Portsmouth's Tal Ben Haim.

This will probably be my last post until Boxing Day, so its time to sign off with some pics of
Babes in Arsenal Shirts to cheer everyone up over the festive season. I have featured quite a few
over the season, so i have built up a good selection for you to look at, and I [...]
The pain of yesterday's mauling is likely to linger for a while. I still can't think straight
and it's impossible to digest that we could be so naïve, almost idiotic. This isn't a new feeling
either. We have been outplayed in the big matches with mind numbing regularity in the recent past.
It's as if all of us deserve shock treatment every few months for being mentally challenged enough
to support the Arsenal.
Let's bring December in with a bang:
- New L.A. deal for Landon Donovan.
- MLS might get Michael Ballack?
- Aguero set to leave Atletico.
- City still trying to be taken seriously.
- Pavlyuchenko and Roma.
- United's Nani saga continues.
Now, it's the turn of El Capitan. I don't know the original source of this interview and have
read different parts on different sites. I believe most of you must have read these comments but I
will reproduce them for those who haven't.
Throughout the game [at Manchester City in the 3-0 Carling Cup defeat last Wednesday], we had a
lot of possession but didn't really have anyone to go in behind the defenders, apart from Carlos
Vela.

Guaranteed top spot in the group and with a squad crippled by injuries, Arsenal have flown out a
very inexperienced side to Athens for their final group game with a number of their starting lineup
rested for the big weekend game against Liverpool.
As if just to antagonise Chelsea fans, Fabregas was widely quoted yesterday as saying Chelsea
would be merely an average side were it not for Didier Drogba.
Having watched his side's defence get pummelled by the Ivorian just over a week ago, you can
perhaps understand Fabregas' comments.
Earlier in the week, I claimed the Sol Campbell rumour simply had to be the press making
mischief. We were having a defensive crisis and Sol Campbell was a free agent.
However, after signing Michael Owen, I wouldn't say any transfer deal was totally out of the
question anymore!
Still, Campbell was all over the press, claiming he would love to join United.
And lots of it.
One of the several benefits of popping fish oil pills is that it improves concentration. I could
also suggest this and this but the legitimacy of using these could be questioned. Moreover, the
side effects can be particularly unpleasant. Taking fish oil supplements is not as dangerous and
certainly not illegal.
You might call the week that was Separation Week in European soccer. The Champions League group
stage completed play and with it the chances of certain clubs finishing in the top 10 by season's
end (you know who you are, Juventus). Other teams are resurgent, having rescued their seasons from
the brink (Bayern Munich).
As I was reflecting on the game yesterday evening, I so much kept on comparing this 1-2 away win
with last season's win at Stamford Bridge with the same scoreline. That one was a game ...
"I'm handy."
The Meerkat played through the pain barrier at Anfield on Sunday, having barely trained all week
because of a foot injury. He scored the winning goal with a quite brilliant finish, prompting
Arsene Wenger to praise the Russian's rock-like hardness:
Wenger said: "I've not met many with his pain threshold.
The Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger is still desperately looking around for someone to cover for the
injured Robin Van Persie, but he has already ruled out most of his top targets. Wenger said: "Let's
not dream too much. To find players who are world-class, have not played in the Champions League
and are available, I wish [.
Here is a resume to consider:
One-time coach of Portsmouth (where he managed 10 points in 16 league games). A Multiple winner
as a player with Arsenal. And most importantly, a good friend of Thierry
Henry.
Is Tony Adams the man you see capable of steering this near ship wreck
organization in the right direction?
So Torres won't be risked, but is this the week we see Aquilani? Walcott is out again for Arsenal
who also have Song suspeneded. Everton lost Distin and Gosling in midweek further diminishing
their options, and already had Heitinga suspended for the visit of Spurs. All your team news,

Watch YouTube clips of classic matches between Liverpool and Arsenal as two of the heavyweights of
English football prepare for Sunday's Premier League contest.
The Premiership's most prolific cheat was at it again at Old Trafford yesterday. Wayne Rooney's
shamelessly attempted to win a penalty with yet another dive in the area, but luckily the referee
was on the ball and booked him instead.
Here is the master in action against Villa:
Rooney should've been sent off for that if you ask me.
Arsene Wenger is set to have his first falling-out with Stan Kroenke, and the Quiet Man hasn't even
taken over yet! The biggest Arsenal shareholder is keen to arrange a pre-season tour of America for
the Gunners, probably to show off his new acquisition by then, but also as a certain big
money-spinner.
Merry X-mas everyone!
And it is a shame that the All I Want for X-mas Series has come to its conclusion.
Unfortunately, the slutty Santa ladies have all left the building and Easter and any other holiday
down the road just doesn't compare to the girls X-mas apparell.
But such is life.
It has been long rumoured that Arsenal have been tracking the Brazilian wonderkid Zezinho, and it
seems they have made two previous offers to his club, Juventude. But now Zezinho himself believes
that his time in Brazil has finished and he is on his way to join Arsenal. The Brazil U17 star, who
helped his country [.
How long was Didier Drogba on the ball during Chelsea's victory over Arsenal? 50 seconds? And yet
he was the most influential player of the match.
Carlo Ancelotti has arrived and we should be impressed.
Searching to close the gap at the top of the table on Chelsea, Arsenal entered Sunday's match
versus Chelsea seeking a convincing victory, but they ended as the losing side of a convincing 3-0
victory.
