A brief statement on Arsenal's website updates RVP's status. He will be traveling back to London
this week and resuming his care with the Arsenal medical staff at London Colney.
They also confirm the 6 week convalescence period.
Elsewhere in the Arsenal blog world:
Arseblog mentions, the silver lining is the pretty straightforward series of fixtures till Xmas
other than Chelsea and Liverpool (both clubs have their injury woes too).

I like Cudicini I do. I knows he's not only a spud but an ex-chav as well but I've always liked
him. I thought he was a great keeper, admired the way he handled things after he was shit on at
Chelsea, and how could you not appreciate his gift to Henry at Highbury?
Being on a somewhat different planet for over a week now I've had a relative abscence of news in my
life and what I have seen has arrived by way of Arsenal-related blogs.

The first North London derby of the season takes place this Saturday and Arsenal fans and
players will be desperate to put the agony of last year's 4-4 draw behind them.
Tickets, as you would expect, are like gold dust but Arseblog, in association with Emirates
Airline, has not one, not two, but three pairs of Club Level tickets up for grabs exclusively to
Arseblog readers.

Hullo there, happy Friday to you. This week appears to have gone by a bit quicker than I had
thought it would. Or than I thought it was going when I stopped to think about it. Which is
good.
A few bits and pieces around so we'll crack on. England U21 boss Stuart Pearce has played down
reports that Arsene Wenger and him had a massive falling out over Theo Walcott.

According to Arseblog's sources, Swiss centre back Philippe Senderos has completed a move to
Everton. The news isn't surprising though. Just days ago, Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger recently sold
Kolo Toure to Manchester City citing 'too many centre halfs' as the main reason for letting him go.

Afternoon all. I though I'd jump in for a few thoughts after today's 2-1 win against Atletico
Madrid in the first game of the Emirates Cup. It's certainly nice to bag a win in the club's first
preseason match at home, and there were a few encouraging signs. A few takeaways to toss out
there:
- Rosicky played 45 minutes and looked solid in doing so.

So long and thanks for the fish!
I'm told that Philippe Senderos has signed for Everton, done deal (and I know he's at
the stadium today).
I think it's a shame he's going and his departure means we probably need another defender now.
Best of luck to Philippe at his new club.

Having a doomsday prophet like Alisher Usmanov who believes that only he can save Arsenal
becomes a drag after a while.
He does not get that his money is unwelcome and so are his suggestions through a surrogate that
David Dein was never adequately replaced. As Arseblog correctly points out Usmanov offered a rights
issue; very different from direct funding.

The infamous Michael Owen brochure has already provided much fun this summer. First there was the
brochure itself, which was undeniably hilarious. The fact that Owen actually secured a move to a
Big Four team does nothing to diminish that hilarity. Then came the spoofs. In yesterday's Daily
Dose we linked to Arseblog's very nicely [.

Arsenal fans have been losing patience with Emmauel Adebayor for a while. The temporal Togo striker
who is the subject of interest from AC Milan, has long since infuriated Gooners by his lack of
enthusiasm for making his talent be put to good use on the pitch.
So the guys at 'Arseblog' have come up with their own 'Michael Owen style' brochure for Adebayor,
to try and attract some interest for the striker.

Arsenal chief executive Ivan Gazidis revealed it's time for this Arsenal side to start and

It was back to training today for the players, or at least most of them, as pre-season began in
earnest ahead of our first warm up match against Barnet in eleven days time. You can take a look at

points:
- Rumours that Vermaelen is short are wide of the mark.

'Arsenal sign Ajax stopper', screamed the Sport.co.uk headline on NewsNow yesterday evening.
Taking a leaf from the book of the BBC and Sky Sports they claimed to 'understand' that we'd
sign the Belgian (cheers all!) defender Thomas Vermaelen for £10m in the next 48 hours. Then to
add extra credence to the story they threw in some quotes from Tony Adams about how he wasn't tall
enough.

Arsenal's players and coaches are a little over 24 hours away from the biggest game in their
young careers and yet, it's the business end of the club that's receiving all of the press.
As I reported on Saturday, Stan Kroenke is now the largest, no wait, the mostest shareholder
having purchased some 4,000 shares from the Carr family and pushing his total up to just over
28%.

Having returned from London last night I can now safely say that if I see another beer ever
again it'll be too soon. Well, ever might be too strong. Certainly until Wednesday.
What a fantastic weekend though. The Arseblog 5-a-side tournament took place on Saturday
afternoon and the Green team, captained by yours truly, fought off the jet-leg, the hangovers and
the fact we were playing away from home, to triumph over the reigning champions the Whites, as well
as the Blues, the Reds and the Piss Drinking Yellows.

In political parlance he is a flip flopper. The fans at the Emirates let him have it when he
showed up to play Juve. The only thing that can get Ade back in favour would be to keep a low
profile and repeat a 30 goal scoring season. In the end if that leads to meaningful silverware,
then all can and will be forgiven.
