When Kieran Gibbs limped off the pitch on Tuesday night I'm sure I'm not alone when I thought
'See you next season, young man'.
I expected every metatarsal in his foot to be shattered into a thousand tiny pieces, requiring
many painful and complicated surgeries. Due to the stress and a quickly developed reliance on
prescription painkillers I had visions of Gibbsy wallowing in a depressive mire, unable to play the
game he loves, and resorting to bank robberies while off his face huffing glue just to get the high
that football gave him.
::: FistedAway today welcomes a guest post from Elliott, editor of the rather lovely
Futfanatico ::: Never before have the parallel universes of entertainment, movies and
sport, come so closely intertwined. After a dismal 0-0 draw with Mallorca last week, Florentino
Perez was not amused by Mourinho's sombre post game press conference.
Walcott should be tamed correctly....
Why? The guy is still young, made his first World Cup squad when he was 17 years old. I'm
actually happy that he wasn't picked for Capello's squad, it brings out the stupidity of Capello
and it should've been the tipping point to his firing which should come soon, hopefully.

A fairly routine win for Arsenal was guaranteed when Gary Cahill was sent off for a reckless
challenge midway through the second half.
Ahead of kick-off today, I wrote about what I hoped for the day ahead. It goes without saying we
all wanted a win, however we had to win, but there was one person I really want to see on the
scoresheet.
I don't really care how we score, as long as we do. It could come off Wes Brown's arse for
all I care but I really would love to see Berb score today.
The Chelsea Daily Drivel is a daily update of all the stories concerning our club, the rumours, the
opinions and more....
So here are the Chelsea news updates on Thursday 23rd September 2010 including:
Benayoun and Kalou to miss City on Saturday, McEachran's interview today and
video of his personal performance against Newcastle last night, Fergie tips Chelsea the two
games against us as title deciders, Disney get rid of Chelsea in favour of City and Bruce
Buck releases a statement to the Guardian!
Today's performance was piss-poor and painful to watch. In fact I'd rather have the raging hangover
I had this morning again than watch that pile of shite. And that hangover was bad.
But I must say this, while we were worse than my Sunday morning football team, West Brom thoroughly
deserved the win.
If there's anything worse than having to write blogs like today's it's waking up, with a
hangover the size of Yaya Toure's arse, letting your elderly dog out the back for a piss, going
back to sleep and then dreaming you've already written it.
Painful. Obviously not as painful as yesterday but painful nonetheless.
