It's fairly well established that Tottenham midfielder Sandro is pretty ace, what with the
dancing in car parks, the 'Beyond the Thunderdome' hair, the semi-naked kung-fu and the gum shields
but his latest adventure is coming straight out of the box labelled 'Eh?
Spurs star Sandro has revealed he's been enticed by the great British past-time of darts. The
midfielder reckons he might be the first Brazilian 'baller to try his hand at arrows. And Sandro is
so caught-up with his new hobby that he regularly has darts legend and walking pawnshop Bobby
George round for a game.
'Coach told us today that all we're going to play against XXXXXX is defense'.
Why would you ever tell your players that? It just means you're trying to lose by less, which
gains you... what? I've never understood soccer coaches who drop 5-6-7 kids back on defense or
directly shadow strikers to try to stem the bleeding.
I've always thought that being a supporter meant wearing your team's colors, traveling to
home/away matches, and cheering on your club during the best of times and more importantly during
the worst. But never in a million years did I ever expect to see this.
FC Magdeburg, wallowing in last place of the German Fourth Division, have had a slight problem
scoring goals this season.
The quiff. The casually knotted tie. The hand-in-pocket insouciance. For us, the only way this
picture could be any better is if Super Mario Gomez was naked.
