Today, both Club America and Chivas Guadalajara trained at our Swope Park Training Center ahead of
tomorrow's Clasico Bud Light at Arrowhead Stadium. We will reiterate again that tomorrow's game
will be a big zoo, so please don't rely on walk-up tickets. If you're interested in coming to the
game, give us a call at 913.
The Kansas City Wizards first played in Arrowhead Stadium (home of the NFL's Kansas City Chiefs
in Kansas City, Missouri), and created quite the echo chamber with attendance barely in five
figures in a stadium holding 80,000. Then in 2007, they moved to a stadium that barely holds five
figures, CommunityAmerica Ballpark (home of minor league baseball team the T-Bones in Kansas City,
Kansas), an oddly angled fit for soccer and too small for the Wizards.

friendlies.
Since my last post on the SUMmer of Soccer, an International Friendly doubleheader was played
and a few more friendlies were scheduled .

There was a huge line just before the gates opened tonight at Arrowhead.
CD Guadalajara (Chivas) topped archrivals Club America 2-1 Wednesday night in front of a raucous
crowd of 26,119 in the Clasico Bud Light at Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City, Missouri. America
opened the scoring in the 53rd minute before two late strikes propelled Chivas to a dramatic 2-1
win.
Mr. John Kristick of the USA Bid Committee receives a Kansas City Wizards jersey from David Ficklin
and George Brett looks on.
We've said it here many times before, and we won't stop saying it. Please go online and sign the
petition to support the USA's (and by extension, Kansas City's) bid to host FIFA World Cup games in
2018 or 2022.
