Trinidad and Tobago youth international, Daneil Cyrus is now gone from camp with Kansas City. Cyrus did not play in the team's double header against Portland and Montreal last weekend and was again not in the lineup last night when KC took on the Arizona Sahuaros. There'd been no word on what had happened to him but some were speculating that he was gone.

KC has struggled to score goals this preseason, having scored a grand total of five in their previous six games. Last night in Tucson though, Sporting KC broke for six against the Arizona Sahuaros in their 6-1 win over the Arizona side. KC's line up was made up of players that are likely to all be on the Swope Park Rangers this year, the team's reserve side.

Last week I mentioned that the promoters of a proposed series of MLS pre-season matches in Tucson were still looking for a stadium in town. Yesterday the Arizona Daily Star reported that the city did in fact give permission to have the matches at Hi Corbett Field, a baseball stadium in the central part of Tucson.

A few days delayed but here's some of the news that's come out the Sporting KC preseason camp that began Monday. Sporting's players will spend this week undergoing various fitness tests, taking physicals and partaking in light training at the Kansas City Chiefs' indoor training facility before moving on to Arizona, where SKC will spend the majority of their time prior to opening their season at Chivas USA.

Players report just 5 days from now for the beginning of preseason, and while some are already in town and planning events for tomorrow's snow day, pretty soon it will be back to business for KC. Today the team announced 6 preseason games that the team will have down in Arizona during their preseason.
