The Paraguay national soccer team cheerleaders have taken the internet by storm! We got a first
good look at them last week during the South American FIFA World Cup 2010 qualification Paraguay
Argentina matchup in Asuncion. Now, more pictures of the Albirroja Porristas ("Red and White
Cheerleaders" in English) have emerged from Argentina.
(Summary is not available.)
Argentina needs a big win today to have a chance at world cup qualificaiotn and for Maradona to
remain as the coach.
As for Maradona's coaching, it is pretty obvoius that the Messi, Aguero & Tevez combinations have
not been very productinve in terms of goals. The only good change he has done so far is let Jesus
Datolo play as his wingman.
As most soccer fans are know, there was South American FIFA World Cup 2010 qualification action
last night. As with any South American soccer games, the babes were out in full force. Here's a
look at some of them from the Brazil Chile meeting in Salvador and the Paraguay Argentina matchup
in Asuncion.
Kaká, Dunga and Adriano ponder tonight's clash with Argentina
Brazil head to Argentina today knowing that a win could see them qualify for next year's World
Cup in South Africa. Dunga's men need the three points in the estádio Gigante in Rosario and
require Colombia to beat Ecuador in Medellin earlier in the day.
Atlético Club San Martín (a.k.a. San Martín de Mendoza) is a football (soccer) club from San
Martín in Mendoza Province, Argentina. They currently play in Zone C of the Torneo Argentino B,
which is the regionalised fourth tier of the Argentine Football Association league system. Clearly
inspired by the big boys of Argentine football using models [.
Mythical Estadio Centenario | FIFA's world classic stadium

partidos.
Saturday night saw the big South American clásico in Rosario as Argentina hosted Brazil in the
qualifiers for the 2010 World Cup, and Diego Maradona's reign as manager will be marked forever by
the result: Argentina lost a qualifier at home for only the second time in their history. The first
was the 0-5 loss [.
Little more than nine months before the World Cup makes its first appearance in Africa, all but six
of the 32 team spots are still to be decided. So far, Japan, Australia, North and South Korea and
the Netherlands have captured places alongside host South Africa in the Dec. 4 draw at Cape Town,
although several more teams are banging on the door.
You're probably wondering who in the world is Club Atlético Patronato de la Juventud Católica.
Well, they are an Argentine football club from the city of Paraná currently competing in the
Torneo Argentino A (Argentina's third tier of football). Based on the number of corporate logos on
their kits, they're also clearly well-sponsored.
This should explain his results.
Argentina boss hands over jewellery to Italian cops Diego Maradona has had his earrings seized by
Italian police determined to make him pay a €37m tax bill once piece of bling at a time. The
Argentinian legend has the unpaid taxes hanging over him from his time at Napoli between 1984 and
1991. The jewellery, worth [.
We've been here before, and there's not a lot else more to say. In Asunción on Wednesday night,
needing a win to remain in the automatic qualification spots for the 2010 World Cup, Argentina
slumped to a defeat which sees Paraguay qualify for South Africa. Seba Verón was sent off early in
the second half [.
There was big movement in the rankings this week as both England and Argentina reached a point
in their schedules from which last season's numbers have been discarded. This hurts Arsenal,
primarily, though we expect to see them return to the rankings before too long. Currently, only
three of the top ten domestic leagues in the world have yet to play enough matches to have last
season's statistics drop off: Portugal, Italy and Spain.
'Where's my week gone?!' I can hear you inwardly asking. Don't worry you've not been in a coma
since Monday. Due to the upcoming World Cup qualifiers (notably that between Argentina and Brazil
in Rosario on Saturday) the AFA have moved the third round of the Torneo Apertura to midweek.

Carlos Tevez has gone and got himself injured playing for his country the poor dear...bless He will
now miss the games against Arsenal this week, and is possibly out of his clubs visit to Old
Trafford, where we hear he was really looking forward to playing. Tevez suffered a knee injury
during Argentina's 3-1 World Cup qualifying defeat at home [.
Today, both Club America and Chivas Guadalajara trained at our Swope Park Training Center ahead of
tomorrow's Clasico Bud Light at Arrowhead Stadium. We will reiterate again that tomorrow's game
will be a big zoo, so please don't rely on walk-up tickets. If you're interested in coming to the
game, give us a call at 913.

International press conferences at the best of times tend to be mundane, by the numbers affairs
filled with platitudes by the key figures within the national side. Not much changes when it comes
to conferences prior to World Cup qualifiers, or even the finals itself, but within the words
always lies a common train of thought: There are few, if any greater honours in football than
representing your country at the World Cup.

What a way to celebrate Independence Day in Brazil today (seriously, it's a
mark of a true footballing nation) : by trouncing the Argies 3-1 and qualifying for South Africa!
Vamos então!!
Although the midfield still needs a little bit more effort (Ei Andre Santos, o que está
fazendo, cara?
Football fans all over the world were very excited to see legendary Diego Armando
Maradona get appointed as Argentina national coach but immediately doubts were
raised over his competence. We all knew he had been a great footballer, in my opinion
the best ever, but could he do it as a coach?
I wouldn't be able to handle not having Argentina in the World Cup.
Would you?
1. We are the champions – of the world – So, it's now pretty close to
absolute certainty that England will win the World Cup. In fact, England will not just win it, but
ruthlessly crush all opposition into a bloody wheezing pulp, gasping for air on the sidelines and
ruing the day they were drawn with her Majesty's brave and irrepressable Lions.
One of the great heartbreaks of my soccer-watching life was watching Argentina lose against Germany
in the quarter finals of the 2006 World Cup. But I knew that with so many great players in the
squad--Messi, Riquelme, Crespo, Aimar, Cambiasso, Coloccini, Tevez, Mascherano, Zanetti, Milito,
Heinze, and others--that they'd arrive in South Africa ready to make things right.
individualmente.
Pablo Aimar is in superb form with Benfica this season and is receiving alot of acclaim
in the Portuguese media. This week he was the best player of the game in Benfica's 5-0 win over
Leixoes.
Hopefully, the great football moment that Aimar is in will carry over to the national team and
help Argentina qualify for the World Cup.
Talk to people in Argentina and many of them refer to Maradona as God (D10S). Well, apparently the
Argentine demigod is having to look to a higher authority in order to have a chance against Brazil
this coming Saturday.
One of the most eagerly awaited fixtures on the international football calendar will be staged in
Rosario on Saturday night, with Argentina in need of a win and Brazil no doubt eager to put one
over the on their great rivals and inflict what would be only Argentina's second ever home defeat
in World Cup [.
The following graphs were published by Brazilian sports newspaper Lance.
The theme is how Argentina and Brazil would play if Messi was Brazilian and Kaka was
Argentinian.
Which would you prefer to see?
Now that would be a tragedy. And yet, it seems quite likely.
The New York Times' Rob Hughes writes about the tremendous pressure on both
Messi and Ronaldo to win their next two games. Messi's Argentina
play Brazil (as Shourin has so carefully noted here) followed by Paraguay.
Sergio Aguero celebrates Argentina's 3-0 rout of Brazil at the Beijing Olympics
There are matches being played all over the world. Then there is the Brazil vs Argentina
encounter.
Diego Maradona on the day before the match praised the thousands of fans who had shown up at the
Ros Tower Hotel.
Some good news has already come Argentina's way prior to Saturday night's clásico against Brazil
in the Gigante del Arroyito in Rosario. Both Ecuador (0-2 away to Colombia) and Uruguay (0-1 away
to bottom placed Peru) lost, meaning Argentina are guaranteed to still be in the top four even if
they suffer their second ever [.
