1991 Gary Lineker scores twice as Spurs beat Southampton 2-0 just prior to a certain semi-final
against our North London neighbours.
If David Sullivan was playing mind games with West Ham United's players when he criticised their
salaries and questioned their manager's style, then he gambled and won, writes Alyson Rudd in this
morning's Times. The team's 2-0 Barclays Premier League victory over Birmingham City was notable
for the emotion generated by the players and their clear support for Gianfranco Zola after the West
Ham co-chairman's scathing assessments.
In the last few days, I've read that Daniel Levy has told Harry Redknapp that he will have £40
million in which to spend on the right players.
Now, hold on a second; did Daniel Levy publically come out with this information? If so, where was
I?
I can understand that for the past few seasons, we've been good at getting our wallet out, but I

With all the controversy swirling round at the moment about alleged dodgy decisions favouring the
home team the last thing Indonesian football wanted was yet more controversy. But of course that's
exactly what it go. Bambang Pamungkas looked to have broken the offside trap and levelled the score
with three minutes remaining the ref, responding to a linesman's flag, wiped out the Indonesian
striker's effort.
