Saturday's match was pretty much all the proof we need. It really is all about finishing.
Liverpool have played "better" than they did against Norwich in numerous matches. And it's usually,
somehow, led to worse results. Suarez tallied three world-class goals – and that term isn't used
lightly – three superlative finishes, each more impressive than the last.
I wrote a post last week about Roberto Di Matteo and the influence he has had on our dressing room
since he took over as manager at the club and also about the crap that appeared in the press from
Torres' agent stating that they will consider his future at the end of the season.
I explained that Di Matteo has done an
amazing job especially winning over the dressing room
and getting all the players to play for him and each other once again.
The media is reporting that Roman Abramovich wants Barcelona coach Pep Guardiola to become the
next Chelsea manager.
The Mirror is reporting that Guardiola is Abramovich's stand-out first option, with the
architect of the finest team on the planet the man the Russian believes can deliver his vision of
"Barcelona in blue shirts".

Goal-dfish Thierry Henry waved goodbye to Arsenal again last week. What better way to signal the
fresh start than by knocking down his North London mansion to make way for a giant 40ft fish tank?
The New York Red Bulls man wants to knockdown his £5.9million pad and rebuild it around the huge
aquarium while [.
United States National Team alum, Olympian, National Soccer Hall of Famer, and National Soccer
Coaches Association of America Hall of Famer Harry Keough passed away on Tuesday morning. Keough

Fulham's Riverside Stand as it...well, stands
The designs for Fulham's prospective Riverside Stand expansion have been circulated ahead of the
club's application for planning permission being submitted.
Fulham are planning to build over the existing stand, removing pillars to improve the views from
the lower tier, improve Craven Cottage's facilities with a swanky new concourse area and, perhaps
most importantly, increase the ground's capacity by just over 4,000 up to that magic 30,000
mark.

Just when Chelsea needed it most, Didier Drogba turned up and put in one of his best
performances in a good couple of years to inspire his side to a 3-0 victory over Valencia at the
Bridge last night, scoring two goals and filing an assist (for Ramires) to see the Blues
comfortably and safely into the knockout phases of the Champions League in the process.

"You put your whole self in,
You put your whole self out,
In out, in out,
Fill us all with doubt..."
What's going on with Arsène Wenger?
Is he in? (staying with us until his dotage, when he can emerge from the Emirates elevators like
Young Mr Grace and say "you've all done very well" to mystified tea ladies and reserve team kit
assistants)?
At times, there's a certain stubbornness when it comes to clubs parting ways with an established
coach. The quick exit that we see so regularly - especially in Europe - might happen often enough
to be the standard, but there are examples of teams that seem unable to tell when it's time for a
change.

The Houston Dynamo's new downtown stadium has taken its first step toward being an
environmentally sustainable venue after it was registered with the United States Green Building
Council for certification under the Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED)

United warmed up for the visit of Chelsea at the weekend with a 2-0 home win against the other West
London club Fulham - as tests go, it was a proverbial walk in the park. Berbatov and Valencia were
on target for United, Nani was the architect with a brace of assists. It wasn't exactly a great
game and no one in a red shirt really stood out, but Nani received the pundits plaudits for his
When it comes to games between Spurs and Wigan there isn't a great deal of ‘previous'. No
obscure league cup ties from the 1970s crop up, so at the risk of being obvious when you think of a
memorable win over Roberto Martinez' men, there's only one place to go.
On 22nd of November 2009, Wigan travelled to the Lane and what happened that day astonished
every single member of the crowd.

Editor's note: In honor of the Chicago Bears playing the Green Bay
Packers for the NFC Championship, and more importantly the George Halas Trophy, we are re-running a
post from October 16, 2010.
In the first of an occasional new series on football grounds that never quite came to be,
Ian King takes a look at an ambitious post-war scheme to move Derby County into a then-state of the
art stadium that came to nothing.
In 1997, Derby County left The Baseball Ground, their home of 102 years, for Pride Park.
