Late goals were the order of the weekend for some of Europe's biggest clubs. Dimitar Berbatov completed his hat-trick in the 84th minute to give Manchester United a 3-2 win over arch-rivals Liverpool, while Arsenal were held by Sunderland on a stoppage time goal from Darren Bent.

With some of the world's best talent in their squad, many would expect AC Milan to dominate this season in the Serie A. However, after last night's draw with Lazio in Rome, the Italian giants find themselves in 8th place with only 5 points.

Make no mistake about it; it's been nothing short of a disastrous week for Liverpool. It started with a defeat at arch rivals Manchester United and ended with a disappointing home draw with Sunderland. Sandwiched in between the two Premier League games was a shock Carling Cup defeat at the hands of League Two side Northampton Town.
