Columbus' Justin Meram was hoping to equalize against Dallas after he entered the match just
before halftime on Saturday, but instead he ended up delivering a failed overhead kick to the
throat of an opponent in the 51st minute.
Meram thought he was set up nicely for an emphatic finish right in front of goal, but instead of
making contact with the ball, he caught Dallas' Hernan Bertuz in the neck with the toe of his
boot.
I had every intention of posting this last night but had other things come up. Anyways,
yesterday MLS commissioner Don Garber gave his media call and during the Q&A he threw out a big
nugget on the New York expansion situation.
Garber stated that the league has taken the lead on getting a stadium plan together for a
potential expansion team in the Big Apple, a first done so by the league.

Here we go again folks. More expansion talk.
MLS Commissioner Don Garber will travel to Orlando on March 1 for exploratory meetings about
potential future expansion into Florida.
Yes, yes, the league continues to say they are focused on getting team number 20 in the Big
Apple but I don't think we can be overly shocked to hear that Garber is going to meet with
officials in Orlando to discuss the future here.

The Rapids got beat down in the Big Apple. The game was over in 7 minutes and it wasn't undeserved.
A horrible performance from our midfield and the defense wasn't much better. I'm not going to spend
much time recapping the game, but lets take a look at the 5 goals. To start the disaster, Ross
LaBauex sent Henry free on Pickens with a great through ball.
