The Anfield tabby who made an appearance in the Liverpool vs Spurs match has become a major
sensation like Susan Boyle, out of nowhere. Probably the most exciting event in that match other
than Luis Suarez's kick to Scotty Parker's stomach that sent the Spurs midfielder to the ground
grovelling in pain.
Simon Dawkins found himself as a surprise inclusion in Spurs 25 man squad list but any hopes of
an appearance in the Tottenham first team this season have been ended with news of another loan
spell in the MLS.
Simon has returned to San Jose Earthquakes, the side he played for last season and while Spurs
fans are unclear as to what the 24 year old could offer his parent club, Earthquakes head coach
Frank Yallop is delighted to welcome him back.
Welcome to the Friday Crackovia Club, where it's always a party in
here before the weekend! Of course, Crackovia is one of the most craziest football
sketch shows from Catalonia and this week was all about Barcelona's quest
to slow down Madrid using some insane dressing room rituals.

The pieces are in place for it to be the weekend of the landmark appearance for Americans across
Europe.
After Tim Ream was named to Bolton's matchday roster and Charlie Davies was named to Sochaux's,
West Ham announced that centerback George John will be part of the 20-man traveling party for the
club's match at Peterborough United on Saturday.
Shane Ferguson came on in the second half on Saturday for his 4th appearance in a Newcastle
United shirt this season. Shane Ferguson in action on Saturday Shane came in for the injured
Jose Enrique last year, about this time, and showed what a good young player he is. And on
Saturday he went out on the left wing, with Argentine Jonas Gutierrez moving over to the [.
Here, in the latest of our book reviews, Ben Summers takes a look at Barney Ronay's The Manager, a
book which surely deserves more than its two current stars on Amazon. The Manager: The Absurd
Ascent of the Most Important Man in Football By Barney Ronay Published by Sphere August 2010,
£8.99, ISBN: 9780751542790 This book's incongruous appearance in Fabio Capello's 2010 World Cup
luggage leant it a curious subplot that could easily have been incorporated into the book itself.
I do have a soft sport for Thai Port but as they go into their third final appearance in three
years next week against Buriram PEA they don't look to have much of a squad left for next
season.
The exodus started during the mid season break when their coach Sasom Pobprasert moved to First
Division side Buriram, taking three players with him including Sompong Soleb.
EURO 2004 champions Greece qualified for EURO 2012 by winning its qualification group in October
2011. The appearance is Greece's third consecutive in the European championships after failing to
qualify...
What is it with unusual pitch invaders on Merseyside lately? Last week, a protestor cuffed
himself to the posts at Goodison Park to register his disgust with a budget airlines, and tonight a
cat found its way onto the pitch during Tottenham's bout with Liverpool at Anfield.
Brad Friedel was visibly freaked out by the impromptu appearance of the misplaced moggy —
perhaps he thought Harry Redknapp had sent one of his pets in his absence from the match — and
Liverpool fans responded with the inventive chant "a cat, a cat, a cat, a cat, cat.
Sounders v. Whitecaps Preseason Liveblog

Reportedly Zak will be making an appearance, though he is not starting. Follow along with Matt
Gaschk through the link. This is not really a gamethread, though feel free to discuss here.
It is being reported this morning that Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspurs are both scouting the England
U19 star Jamaal Lascelles, who made his first senior appearance for Nottingham Forest last weekend
against Burnley, watched by both Arsenal and Spurs scouts who were alerted beforehand. It was
reported that Arsenal made a £5million offer for the [.
"We don't think he should ever have been away but we are delighted to get him back," Kenny
Dalglish said when asked about the return of Luis Suarez following Monday's match against
Tottenham. The response from the papers was immediate—and exactly what one would have guessed it
would be.
"Kenny Dalglish has risked infuriating Manchester United ahead of Luis Suarez's appearance at
Old Trafford next weekend," began the always understated Daily Mail.
The Arsenal legend Thierry Henry has had a fairytale return to the Gunners, scoring within ten
minutes of his debut against Leeds, and also scoring in the last minutes of his final appearance at
the Emirates. Arsene Wenger hinted that he may try and extend the loan period so that he could be
part of [.
The Kickette round commences at 38.29. But really, you should watch the whole show. You're clearly
not busy, because you're here.
If our appearance on ESPN's Talk Of The Terrace didn't give you a hint that boys have no clue
what a woman wants from a footballer, our latest foray into TV territory certainly should.
Internet's been down in the FootyBlog mansions recently, so we were unable to share the story of
the Anfield cat...
Apparently its a homeless cat named Kenny who is often spotted around the ground, but this was
the first time it made an appearance on the pitch at Anfield. A spoof Twitter was set up after the
game, reaching 25,000 followers the next day (is currently above 40,000!
Park Ji-Sung made his 200th appearance for United last weekend in our 3-3 draw with Chelsea.
When Park joined United for £2m in 2005 several people claimed it was just to appeal to the
Asian market in order to sell more shirts. Those people obviously didn't watch him play for PSV
against AC Milan in the Champions League a few months before we bought him.
Jozy Altidore made the most of his 14-minute substitute appearance on Wednesday evening, adding
AZ's fifth and sixth goals in their rout of ADO Den Haag.
Devin is slammed and I'm sick (laryngitis). That being said, we're not sure a preview of Everton
will be making an appearance prior to the match. Apologies. What we do have for you, however, are
some excellent pieces on Chelsea's finances.
Someone asked us about the recent release of our financials for the year (June 2010-June
2011).
Ryan Kinne dribbles the ball during training last summer (Photo: Chris Aduama/aduama.com).
FOXBOROUGH, Mass. One minute. That's the total amount of time Ryan Kinne saw on the field with
the Revolution first team last season.
Typically, a player with a stat line of sixty seconds at the end of his rookie season never sees
another minute.
Ryan Giggs is set to make his 900th appearance for the club on Thursday in Amsterdam but has
today revealed that he almost copied Paul Scholes in hanging up his boots at the end of last
season.
Giggs played in 38 games in total last season on the way to collecting his record 12th league
title and as the season progressed, realised he wasn't ready to stop playing yet.
Carroll King Roy Carroll emerged from the footballing wilderness last night with a substitute
appearance for Greek side Olympiakos in their Europa League match against Russia's Rubin Kazan. His
first involvement? Saving a penalty. The former Manchester United keeper joined the club in the
January transfer window after a €100,000 move from OFI Crete.
Sounders v US U17s with Sounder Youth Keeper - End of Half 3-nil Seattle
Forward pairing was Estrada and Ochoa (both with goals so far) and Amadou Sanyang makes an
appearance at Right Back. Paul Christensen is the U17 keeper, he's also a Sounder.
It's FA Cup weekend and the footballing clichés are out in force as Spurs prepare to travel to
Stevenage this Sunday. Defender Ryan Nelsen is likely to make his first start in a Tottenham shirt
and he has warned his team mates not to take their opponents lightly.
"This squad is good enough to go on and win it, and I know it's a priority here," Nelsen
said.
Sunderland, I mean Sunderland.
Another brief intro, sorry. Check JG's preview, notable for its astounding use of the white dog.
In all seriousness, when we lose badly but the white dog makes an appearance, I can't stay mad.
Kick-off against those northern bastards is late today, so I can sleep in!
Antonio Valencia has been one of United's best players this season, which is why it is so
frustrating that he picked up a hamstring injury in his ten minute substitution appearance against
Ajax.
After suffering a nasty injury the season before last, which saw him miss most of the season, he
admitted he was worried this latest injury would keep him out for a long time.
ASIAN soccer officials are tonight expected to deliver a verdict on whether Adelaide

U.S. starting right back Steve Cherundolo is nearing a special milestone this season that will
guarantee his place for another year at the only club he has called home during his standout
professional career.
According to reports out of Germany, Cherundolo will have his contract automatically extended
for another season upon his next appearance of 45 minutes or more.
Section 8 and MLS fan culture make an appearance in The Guardian
Great stuff from David Boyle, featuring former Section 8 chairman Tom Dunmore.
It's already been a big year for Cameron Lancaster after he made his first Spurs appearance as a
late substitute in last month's 3-1 win over Wigan. Yesterday, the 19 year old striker upstaged his
new team mate Bruno Uvini by nailing a hat trick in a Spurs XI 7-3 win over Leyton Orient.
Tottenham's other goals were scored by Massimo Luongo who has also seen the first team bench in
recent weeks, plus strikes from Will Ekong, Simon Dawkins and Cristian Ceballos.
Manchester United coach Sir Alex Ferguson has hailed Ryan Giggs as the greatest player in the
history of the club and that no one would match his impressive achievements.
Giggs is set to make his 900th appearance for the club against Ajax today in a Europa League
clash at the Old Trafford.

Ryan Giggs makes his 900th appearance for Manchester United against Norwich today which is his
427th game away from home. It is also his 500th Premier League start. Giggs has started 85% of
those 900 games. He has scored or assisted 306 of all Manchester United's 1348 Premier League
goals, which is 22.

Ryan Giggs scored a dramatic 92nd minute winner on the day he celebrated his 900th appearance for
Manchester United, to beat Norwich 2-1 in a pulsating encounter at Carrow Road. The Welsh legend's
goal ensured a fairytale finish to his special day and kept United within two points of league
leaders City.
After Norwich equalised against Manchester United late on this afternoon it looked as though we
would have to settle for just one point.
However, Ryan Giggs, making his 900th appearance for the club, ensured we left with all three
after scoring an injury time winner.
"I think it's team spirit," Giggs told MUTV.
Ryan Giggs scored a last minute winner for Manchester United today on his 900th appearance for
the club against Norwich.
On September 7th 1991 Giggs scored his first United goal, also against Norwich.
Only seven players have scored more goals than Giggs for United and only Rooney has scored more
Premier League goals than him.
All over the world, headlines would be written about Ryan Giggs getting a late winner for
Manchester United in his 900th appearance for the club. Let's rewind a bit to the start of the game
and it...

Some good news for City fans as their striker Carlos Tevez is set to star for City in a reserve
League Cup tie against Preston on Tuesday. According to a spokesman for the club, Tevez who only
resumed training with the first team last Thursday, is expected to make a relatively 'gentle
competitive' appearance in Tuesday's match.
1. Days like yesterday have the potential to win you or lose you the title. When it's 1-1 with
90 minutes played after a lacklustre second half you're thinking it's a day that could lose you the
title. It doesn't matter that Norwich have performed so well this season, sitting in 8th place
despite getting beaten, we needed the points.
