Joining our ever-growing roster of 'Drunk Off Their Ass' listees is Miss Kimberley Mills,
girlfriend of Tottenham's David Bentley. Welcome hon!
Mills (plus her beau and Gareth Barry) were just three of the numerous patrons who had to flee
London's Whiskey Mist night club Sunday night after a bloody brawl broke out.
Newcastle United's Hatem Ben Arfa is keen to get started with Premier League football after his
appearance against Nottingham Forest in the Carling Cup on Tuesday. Alan Pardew won't be rushing
him back but could it be that the eventual return of Ben Arfa will signal a shift in the way the
whole team plays?
For whatever reason, Christian Poulsen has been a regular whipping-boy for Liverpool fans over the
last year. He has constantly been labelled 'not good enough', and generally treated with
disrespect. This is totally unfair because, as I will illustrate, Poulsen had a positive impact for
Liverpool overall.
Many of the WNT players got nice welcomes when they returned home after the WWC, but this much
is clear: Redding, Calif. loves its hometown hero Megan Rapinoe. Rapinoe returned to this small
town in northern Northern California (Population: 90,000) this week and got a rousing reception,
making an appearance at her old middle school and being hosted at Jack's Grill (see below), a steak
house where her mom has worked for many years.
Didier Drogba makes a bonus appearance in the individual team photos. Can you spot him?
No commentary needed, really.
(The full graphic with the individual pictures was brought to my attention by a friend who found
it on tumblr. Credit where it's due.
Arsenal midfielder Jack Wilshere is facing three months on the sidelines as he struggles to
overcome a persistent ankle injury. The Gunners midfielder suffered the injury during England's 2-2
draw with Switzerland back in June rendering him unable to make an appearance with the Gunners this
season. The 19-year-old is sporting a special boot to [.
USA Setup: Jurgen Klinsmann set up the USA in a 4-3-3. Castillo was back at left back, and
Timmy Chandler was in at right back, making his second appearance for the USA. Orozco and Bocanegra
partnered in the center. Castillo looked better than the Mexico match for sure, but his slight
build continues to show a cause for concern, as he was troubled with the bigger and stronger Costa
Rica players.
Last night on Twitter we asked a question that was a bit of a stumper: How many players could make
their debut for the MNT outside of North America?
Turns out the answer is five: Timmy Chandler, Michael Orozco Fiscal, Bill Hamid, Jeff Larentowicz,
and Brek Shea. The one that kept tripping people up was Kyle Beckerman.
Much of the attention for this weekend's match against Wolves will be the likely appearance in
the starting line up of Emmanuel Adebayor. The giant Togolese striker is set to make his debut
after missing out against Manchester City due to Premier League rules and he is looking forward to
making an impact.
The Philadelphia Union announced today that starting goalkeeper Faryd Mondragon underwent
successful surgery on his injured right ring finger.
Now that Mondragon has undergone the procedure, the Union have made the statement that the
40-year-old will miss around four weeks, which will prohibit him from playing in between three and
five games, including Wednesday's game against the New England Revolution and Saturday's against
the Portland Timbers.
After each match the contributors to New England Soccer Today will rate the performances of
the United States National Team players who made an appearance on a 1 to 10 scale (1 horrendous, 5
average, 10 perfection). This week Julian Cardillo and Sean Donahue contributed ratings for the
USA's 1-0 friendly loss to Belgium.

Independence midfielder Jen Buczkowski was named to WPS's Best XI of 2011. The Elk Grove Village,
Ill., native and Notre Dame product started and played in 18 regular-season matches for
Philadelphia, and capped off her 2011 season with an appearance in the WPS Championship against the
title-winning Western New York Flash.

Veteran 'keeper Rogerio Ceni (the highest scoring goalie of all time, with 103 career goals to
date more on that in a minute) made his 1,000th appearance for Brazilian side Sao Paulo in their
2-1 victory over Atletico Mineiro last night and, in celebration of his astounding loyalty and
longevity, was absolutely swamped in reams of red and white confetti and ticker tape after the
final whistle.
Outside back, Scott Lorenz was supposed to be on loan to the NSC Minnesota Stars for the rest of
the season. The Stars today though announced that they have terminated the loan deal and that
Lorenz is returning to Kansas City. KC coach, Peter Vermes confirmed that Lorenz was returning
today. In his last appearance on Wednesday with the Stars, Lorenz played only 42 minutes before
being subbed out in the first half by Minnesota coach, Manny Lagos, against FC Tampa.

PSP's preview of Saturday's Philadelphia Union v Portland Timbers also contained the news that
Keon Daniel would be unavailable for that game.
The PSP has since learned that Daniel's unavailability stems from problems with the US
Immigration Service.
Sunderland could have used unsettled Gyan as they drop points to Chelsea. Instead, Asamoah heads to
the UAE to "get his head on straight" with a 1st div team there. Torres actually makes an
appearance, but as usual, fails to score. Chelsea winners, 2-1.Video: footytube

MILWAUKEE – Keegan Ziada is an Australian who spent the past three years in
South Carolina.
But even having spent only a small amount of time in the UW-Milwaukee men's soccer program, he's
fully embraced the Panthers' rivalry with Marquette.

Teal Bunbury dominated Sunday after stats this week.
Teal Bunbury became the all time leading scorer vs Houston with his 2 goals. He now has 3 all time
vs the Dynamo.
Bunbury's first goal was the 50th of the season in all competitions for KC, it's the first time
they've hit 50 goals in a season since 2005.
It's time for some Champions League stats by the handy Milan training ground tree (seen above)
amicis! The last time these two sides met was five years ago in 2006 when
Barca advanced to the final thanks to Giuly's goal. Interestingly, Milan hold the
better track record from their previous six UEFA meetings.
The Philadelphia Union have invited Morgan Langley and Sainey Touray to train with the team this
week, according to the Harrisburg City Islanders' Facebook page.
Touray featured heavily for Harrisburg City in 2011, playing in 21 games, scoring seven goals
and assisting on six others in 1,161 minutes.

another appearance in the final in Munich? Time will tell and only God knows. What we do know

The Galaxy get the experienced Dasan Robinson, to bolster their defending corps for the run-in
in a deal announced just after the 2 p.m. MLS trading deadline.
He was originally drafted by the Chicago Fire when current Galaxy Associate Head Coach Dave
Sarachan was head coach there.
Robinson did not make an appearance for Toronto after being traded by the Fire in July for
defender Dan Gargan and a second round 2012 draft pick.

As a Wolves fan, how could I not be drawn to the story of how the club badge mysteriously appeared
in the sky above the Black Country.
As Metro reported:
'It was amazing,' an onlooker said of the wolf-shaped gap in the cumulus. It was one of those
days where it was partly overcast and partly sunny.
Lost. Found! Lost Again. Found Again...ho hum. Italian press reports this week indicated that
Ugandan-born attacker Savio Nsereko, once of West Ham, was missing from his current team Juve
Stabia. The player had not attended training nor had supplied a satisfactory explanation for his
absence. He had made just one appearance for the Serie B [.
Here are some stats from last night's game against Real Salt Lake.
In the 51st minute, Michael Harrington moved past Diego Gutierrez and into 12th place for the most
minutes played in Wizards history, Harrington finished the game with 12,285 mintues played.
Harrington also made his 156 appearance in all competitions for KC, tying him with Tony Meola for
11th place on that list.
Danny Wilson is hoping to get the opportunity to impress Kenny Dalglish in tonight's Carling Cup
tie against Brighton.
The 19-year-old Liverpool defender's only appearance so far this season was in the last round at
Exeter City.
"Hopefully the manager decides to play me again and I'll look to take the chance that comes along,"
he said.
Last night I was invited to be a guest on Kansas City ESPN-affiliate radio station 810 WHB AM's
The Kansas City Soccer Show.
Following up Taylor Twellman, the Philadelphia Union's television color commentator, I was asked
what I thought of the match up between the Union and Sporting Kansas City, Zach Pfeffer's debut,
the Union's rise-fall-rise in the past two months and the Jordan Harvey trade, among other
topics.
Ireland U19 international Paul George made his first competitive Celtic appearance last night in
the 2-0 victory over Ross County in the Communities League Cup.
George from Killough in County Down came on for the last few minutes of the game and only for an
excellent close range save late on from County keeper Frazer, he could well have marked his debut
with a first senior goal.
OK apologies for the late blog post on the game the other night but due to PC problems I am doing
it now. Alot has been said yesterday about the game so I won't bore you all with the same reports.
I just want to give my opinion on the game.
First of all I thought it was a game that had everything but goals.

Liverpool forward Craig Bellamy is looking forward to getting the chance to play alongside the
"impressive" Luis Suarez more often.
The Uruguay international helped him open his account in just his third appearance since re-joining
the club in the summer, against Brighton in midweek.
Bellamy's last competitive goal came for Cardiff on the final day of the npower Championship
regular season on May 7.
United States Women's National soccer team goalkeeper and 2011 FIFA Women's World Cup Golden Glove
winner Hope Solo made her second appearance on the US version of Dancing with the Stars on Monday
night. Solo's performance follows her Thursday night cap for the USA in a friendly 3-0 win over
Canada in Portland, OR.
Stuart Holden's latest comeback has hit a minor snag.
Holden will miss the next six weeks after he undergoes a follow-up surgery on his recently
repaired knee.
"Our prime concern has always been Stuart's welfare and his long-term health and fitness,"
Bolton manager Owen Coyle said on the club's official website.
Often the focus when talking about the New England Revolution the focus becomes off-field issues
(stadium hunt, fan relations and Kraft's treatment of team). And it is possible that those worries
have taken their toll on the team itself, for the Revs were once a standout organization in terms
of wins and opportunities for titles.
