The Philadelphia Union announced today that starting goalkeeper Faryd Mondragon underwent successful surgery on his injured right ring finger.

Now that Mondragon has undergone the procedure, the Union have made the statement that the 40-year-old will miss around four weeks, which will prohibit him from playing in between three and five games, including Wednesday's game against the New England Revolution and Saturday's against the Portland Timbers.

Outside back, Scott Lorenz was supposed to be on loan to the NSC Minnesota Stars for the rest of the season. The Stars today though announced that they have terminated the loan deal and that Lorenz is returning to Kansas City. KC coach, Peter Vermes confirmed that Lorenz was returning today.
