The title of this post is somewhat misleading. After all, the thought of taking a Frank Lampard
"masterclass" sends your imagination off on a journey of R-rated festivities. With room
service.
But alas, it's just a Disney XD viral showing Frank Lampard at Wembley doing an interview and
tutorial with a boy named Alfie.
So Sol Campbell has allegedly walked away from Notts County after making just one appearance for
the ambitious League Two side, despite signing a five year contract with the club just over a month
ago. Now technically speaking a contract is an agreement that legally binds two parties together
under the terms specified within, and [.

Another one for the archive in support of David Beckham: Lesbian Icon. Check out David Beckham's
appearance yesterday on Ellen, sporting Ellen underwear - the pictures of the two together start at
about 8 minutes:
Rio Ferdinand made his first league appearance of the season in the 3 – 1 victory over Spurs
on Saturday after recovering from a thigh injury sustained in training. His prolonged absence from
the team has given the United captain plenty of time to reflect and he has admitted he felt sick
after the Champions League final defeat in Rome.
D.C. United celebrated the club's 4th Annual Latin American Festival presented by RCN this past
Saturday in Lot 8 of RFK Stadium. Highlighting the pre-game festivities was an appearance by
Univision's Fernando Fiore and the beautiful "Senadora" models from the network's popular sports
program "República Deportiva".
Liverpool youngster Dani Pacheco has declared that the club's pre-season in Bangkok and Singapore
left him wanting to make an appearance at Anfield.
"The best thing has been signing for Liverpool and since then the two pre-seasons I have spent with
the first team - especially the one just gone," he told the club's official website.
Liverpool winger Albert Riera has told Spanish publication AS of a bust-up he had with manager
Rafael Benitez and confirmed his anger at failing to start the first three games of the season for
the Merseysiders.
"I didn't play the first game because I started training late after the Confederations Cup, like
[Pepe] Reina and [Fernando] Torres," he said.
Claudio Lopez made his 50th league appearance for the Wizards.
Herculez Gomez made his 100th start in all competitions in his MLS career.
The red card to Chance Myers was the 13th issued in a Wizards league game this year, setting a new
team record for red cards issued in a season, breaking a tie with the 1998 season.
Josh Wolff's goal was his 71st career MLS goal, tying him with Ronald Cerritos for 14th on the all
time MLS scorers list.
It was Wolff's 5th MLS (and in all competitions) goal against New York in his Wizards career, tying
him with Preki and Chris Klein for the most goals by a Wizard against New York.
Something to read after you enjoy C-Ron's appearance on Crackòvia... No idea what they're saying,
but for some reason I still chuckled. There's a Barcelona Zlatan one here too. Arsenal's Champions
League grief graph (Unprofessional Foul) Slide tackle sandwich (Dirty Tackle) The worst football
commentator ever?
Joe Bennett was recently held back from going to the Under-20 World Cup with England by Gareth
Southgate, a clear indication that he is in and around the first team squad and could find himself
in the first team before too long.
Bennett is an very talented left full back who currently finds himself behind Andrew Taylor and
Jon Grounds in the pecking order, but many think it is a matter of time before Bennett makes the
breakthrough.
Arsenal have done it again in the League Cup.
It wasn't the 6-0 that they had at this point last season, but a couple great late goals, both
involving Ramsey and substitute Carlos Vela, have Arsenal through to the next round. The 56,000
supporters in attendance and the rest of us watching on Arsenal TV Online (ATVO) enjoyed it
tremendously.
Rewind back to 2003 and you'll see that Jonathan Woodgate had everything. From critical acclaim
to a huge fan following, he had all the essentials required to go down in the Newcastle folklore as
one of the very best defenders of all time. However, the only obstacle that could stop him injuries
came into play very early into his career at St.
Funny how when you score all these stats come up. Anyways, TONS of stats from last night's game,
plenty of them have to do with Josh Wolff and his performance.
Josh Wolff's second goal last night, was the Wizards 600th in league play. KC is the 7th MLS team
to hit that mark. Wolff also scored the team's 400th goal back in 2005 against Colorado.
Although they beat Hungary, Portugal's current position outside the qualifying spots for the
World Cup has Real Madrid president Florentino Perez breaking out in cold sweats and, if my imagine
is accurate, wetting himself during important business meetings. From Tribal Football:
Sport says Real president Florentino Perez is banking on Ronaldo's appearance in South
Africa to boost shirt sales and rake in the expected revenue that was to come from his arrival this
season.
So much for the impossible job. So much for the Lampard-Gerrard conundrum. So much for English
football's crisis of confidence. This was one of those rare nights when hope and glory made an
appearance at Wembley — a testament to a team's spectacular transformation under the management
of Fabio Capello.
New Liverpool teenager Jakub Sokolik admits it is a dream come true to have moved to Anfield and
hopes to have earned a first-team place in the next three to four years.
The Czech Republic starlet signed for the Reds in August after leaving Banik Ostrava, who are
reportedly to receive £1million if the defender makes an appearance.
So the old Club vs Country debate is back in the news again, as Arsene Wenger was in an irritable
mood regarding Andrei Arshavin's appearance for Russia against Wales on Wednesday. The Arsenal
midfielder has a groin problem, which he picked up when his club took on Man United a couple of
weeks ago and [.
From Mark Hughes:
"We have high hopes for Vladi. He knows he is still very early in his development, when
he came out of the Academy last year I think it was all a little bit too much for him. He found the
step up difficult to negotiate initially.
"But, we knew we had a talented boy on our hands.
Oh dear! After Saturday's lovely clear sunny skies across the country, Islington was completely
covered with a grey lid of cloud yesterday. It was as if the sky was in mourning for our result
against Manchester City.
First things first. We didn't play THAT badly. City's opener was against the run of play.
Emmanuel Adebayor has been charged by the FA for violent conduct following his vicious stamp on
Arsenal striker Robin van Persie. He has also been hit with a second charge of improper conduct
following his immature goal celebration which saw him run the length of the pitch to stick it to
the Arsenal fans.

The Rapids made their only appearance on ESPN this year on Friday night, and it will be quickly
forgotten by most neutral observers. A pretty lousy game that is pretty forgettable even for fans.
The game didn't start well, with San Jose getting an open look at Burpo's goal, only to put the
shot off the far post.
After the success of the Showdown in Chinatwon, Stevie Nash has decided to take the show(down) out
west to Vancouver. Highlights and inteviews in the clip above, including an appearance by one of

While he was honored as Estonia's best player in the past half a century by the nation's
football association, Mart Poom could not earn even remotely the same kind of respect on club
level. Despite boasting a variety of Eastern European and English clubs on his resume during his
early days as a player, the legendary former Estonia goalkeeper is best remembered for an extremely
inactive spell as a back-up keeper at Arsenal F.
It was the two experienced heads that inspired victory at the Brittania Stadium. At a combined
age of 49, Paul Scholes and Ryan Giggs both played their part.
From the off, Scholes was the driving force. Ryan Giggs came on a substitute and created both
goals as Manchester United beat Stoke 2-0.
As mentioned in a previous post, your humble editor was recently invited to make an appearance on
the twofootedtackle podcast. Hear me join forces with Chris Nee and Gary Andrews as we take a
whistle...
It seems strange that a team that has gained 22 points from a possible 24 is not yet guaranteed
World Cup qualification. Whilst it is true that England, Netherlands and Spain have perfect
qualification records, Germany might feel like they have also done enough already. In fact they
face a tense climax to their qualification campaign.
A goal down. A man down. And they come back and spank Spurs, 3-1. This was a huge test for both
clubs. Were Spurs as good as they looked? Was Utd as vulnerable as they seemed?
What is really impressive about the way Man Utd have turned things around is that they are
relying on players already within the club.
Real Madrid striker Ruud van Nistelrooy returned after a long
spell on the sidelines to provide an assist and score another in his side's emphatic 5-0 victory
over La Liga minnows Xerez. While the focus of the game initially remained on
another former Manchester United star, Cristiano Ronaldo who
scored twice to make it six goals in his four
appearances it was his Dutch teammate who eventually created most of the
headlines.
Our very promising young Dutch goalkeeper, Tim Krul, will get another start tonight in the 3rd

Brom game remains Krul's only league appearance for the side, and he's now very much hoping for a
win tonight, so he can get [.
They say Blue is the color of creativity. Well, Chelsea has looked every inch innovative since
the season begun. Their perfect run in the Premiership has gotten many people talking (including
me) about the possibility of them lifting both the Champions League and Premiership trophies.
Is Judas returning to, erm, Jesus? Have stranger things happened? This time I am unsure. Former
England centre half Sol Campbell caused more than a few headlines earlier this season when he
agreed to join Sven Goran Eriksson's mega-rich Notts County. But after just one rather
disappointing appearance in the 2-1 defeat at Morecambe, Campbell could [.
Sol Campbell could be set for a remarkable u-turn after Notts County admitted that they will not
stand in his way if he decides to leave the club.
Campbell has made just one appearance for the Magpies since joining on a free transfer at the
end of August. After three weeks of working on his fitness, the former England international made
his debut on Saturday, as his new team followed the football betting odds and went down 2-1 to
Morecambe.
For the first time this season, Herculez Gomez did not appear in a game for the Wizards. Up until
last night, Gomez had appeared in all 25 league games and all 5 in the Wizards other
competitions.
Kei Kamara appeared in his 100th game in all competitions in him MLS career last night.
In the 38th minute, Claudio Lopez hit the 5,000 minute mark in all competitions for the Wizards.
Mr Pennant popped up yesterday, funny how quickly he has been forgotten which was probably the
reason for his appearance in the Sunday newspaper. He supposedly wants to break into the England
squad for the World Cup, so what better way to get in than slating your ex-manager in a cheap
Sunday rag. Typical Pennant [.
Liverpool owners Tom Hicks and George Gillett have confirmed they are looking for investment in the
club.
Following the appearance of Saudi Prince Faisal bin Fahd bin Abdullah al-Saud in the stands with
the Americans at the weekend; the pair released a statement confirming they had retained Bank of
America Merrill Lynch and Rothschild to evaluate the possibility of an outside injection of equity
into the club.
