Here's a little firecracker to start the morning off. Last night's last-16 tie in the KNVB Cup between Ajax and AZ Alkmaar had to be abandoned after just 38 minutes (with Ajax leading 1-0) after an incident involving a pitch invader caused the away side to leave the field in protest.

Now Kean must forfeit his job if Blackburn are to survive

After saying Blackburn "forfeited" their Carling Cup defeat at Cardiff, it's time for Steve Kean to step down. The fans deserve a refund, his players deserve an apology and Kean deserves to go. It may have been a clumsy and badly-chosen phrase but it is the final straw for a club which is in crisis and going down fast.
