This is not for the squeamish ...
It happened in the South African football league.
Oupa Ngulube had his leg broken by Felix Muamba-Musasa during a South African league match between
Mpumalanga Black Aces FC and the Carara Kicks.
The two players were going for a ball along the sideline, but Muamba went in high, stomping on
Ngulube's leg as he slid in.
Yesterday I posted the latest press release from the LFCNY concerning their ongoing campaign
against Steven Cohen.
This morning I now find myself in the middle of a shit storm.
Here is the short version, or at least as short as I can make this.
If you read the LFNCY statement, you probably noticed the name Mark Sawyer, an Associate Professor
in the Department of Political Science at UCLA, who attempted to mediate and negotiate an end to
the LFCNY boycott of Steven Cohen.
Sports Direct apologises for '96 - Not Enough' printing Mike Ashley's sports shop chain has issued
an apology after one of its employees allowed a Manchester United fan to have customised printing
mocking the Hillsborough victims on the back of his replica shirt. Colm Jackson had the slogan 'YSB
96 NOT ENOUGH' printed at the Sports [.
Massive kudos to Arsenal Manager Arsene Wenger for his legendary display of defiance at Old
Trafford yesterday.
After Robin Van Persie's late goal was disallowed for being offside, a frustrated Wenger was
sent-off by card-happy referee Mike Dean for the heinous infraction of kicking a water bottle.
Following Wednesday's now infamous Hand of Henry incident that saw France qualify for World Cup
2010 at the expense of Ireland, Irish newspaper Sunday World has sent journalist babe Geraldine
Comiskey to Barcelona with a specially commissioned poster seeking Thierry Henry's apology for his
actions. Here's a look at Geraldine outside the FC Barcelona (who Henry [.
I have watched this 20 times and it's clear to me that a) Robin Van Persie puts in a poorly
timed (but not malicious) tackle and b) Emmanuel Adebayor deliberately stamped on the Arsenal
striker. Anyone think differently?

Here is what the Dutchman and Adebayor had to say about the incident after the game.
The following article is a summary of events this summer regarding the American football
radio show World Soccer Daily, which went off the air last weekend after a sustained campaign of
protest by Liverpool supporters' groups. In the interests of brevity, it skips over some of the
finer details of what has become an extraordinary story involving alleged death threats,
anti-semitism and even the involvement of the FBI.
Sunday's Bolivian league match between Oriente Petrolero and Blooming turned intensely violent
just before halftime when Sergio Jauregui of Blooming retaliated for an elbow he caught from
Oriente's Leonardo Medina during the run of play an act which earned Medina a red card by executing
a sickening kung fu kick that would even make Jean-Claude Van Damme jealous on Medina as he headed
for the tunnel, leaving him unconscious.
Mario Balotelli once again got himself in trouble during Tuesday's 1-1 Champions League draw
between Inter and Rubin Kazan by earning two yellow cards and getting sent off in the 60th minute.
This drew the ire of his manager and Inter fans, who are quickly tiring of Balotelli's continuing
stream of youthful indiscretions.
World Soccer Daily host Steven Cohen issued an apology Monday in response to his inaccurate
statements he made in April when he blamed Liverpool fans for being the root cause of the
Hillsborough Disaster, as well as other false claims.
In an open letter to his listeners and readers, Cohen said "I would like to apologize for
comments made on World Soccer Daily on Monday April 13th that referred back to an event from April
1989 (the Hillsborough Disaster).
Okay, so first things first...the MLS HQ troglodytes should be ashamed of themselves. Fining Payne
$5k for criticizing other teams' style of play? Shameful...and predictable. Also predictable?
Payne's apology. But what to make of this bit of...
Afternoon all,
as everything has gone a little quiet in the last couple of days I have compiled a few players
that Arsene Wenger could look at to fill our defensive and defensive midfield vacancies.
First up a little round-up of the news: Andrey Arshavin has been bigging up Jack Wilshere and
has even gone on to suggest that there are more players in the youth system as good as he is, if
there are, this Arsenal team will be frightening in a few years.
With J Hutcherson -- Hey look, it's another MLS coaching vacancy. This time, it was Tom Soehn
opting himself out of the running for a new contract with DC United. That might end up being a
unique exit, but DC ends up in a situation familiar to too many clubs in Major League Soccer. A
quick turnaround with the identity of the club at stake.
By CARL ELDRIDGE Arsene Wenger will receive a ‘grovelling' apology from refs boss Keith
Hackett after being sent to the stands in the defeat at Manchester United, the Sun
tells us.<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office">
The story runs alongside the post-match comments from AW digging out Manc enforcer Darren
Fletcher for continuously fouling in the Old Trafford clash.
• It's good to have Edwin Van der Sar back. Bolton may have pulled a goal back, but the big
Dutchman kept his area clear for a large portion of the game and definitely seemed to be a calming
presence at the back. The play that most stands out in my mind is when Van der Sar made a save and
immediately punted the ball 70 yards to the feet of a waiting Dimitar Berbatov, who promptly
launched a counterattack.
Charles Itandje has been given a 14 day ban by Liverpool FC for his behaviour during the 20th
anniversary of the Hillsborough tragedy. The reserve keeper was shown swaying around and nudging
the person next to him whilst smiling.
Itandje has recently issued an apology to the Liverpool Echo:
"First of all, if my behaviour has caused offence to anyone then I can only apologise.
"The Denmark international striker, 21, was pictured leaving a London nightclub at 4 a.m. this
morning with his belt undone and jeans pulled down before being helped into a waiting car."
Yeah...I don't know, either. Hey I understand he and the rest of the team must have been
frustrated about the game, and probably wanted to go blow off some steam.
"Zeru tituli" is a code word in both Inter and AC Milan's history.
It refers to Massimo Ambrosini's two year old Inter taunt when AC won the 2007 CL finals.
On March 3rd, Mourinho threw the taunt back as he said the Rossoneri would win no titles more
than two months before the end of the season.
I wish that I were writing an apology to the U.S. team right now. Sorry- and
I-was-so-wrong-for-doubting the 'B/C' squad. But let's face it: we all knew the end result. People
were optimistic that it would be close, but any objective observer knew how it would end.
The Mexican fans' cheers for the U.
Sounds like the bout of larceny on the Egyptian national team a couple days ago could've been by
invited prostitutes (at least that's what the cops think) and not by run-of-the-mill crooks.
The team denies it and wants an apology, but there are no signs of a break-in, and why wouldn't
they want to celebrate after that upset of Italy.
Jozy Altidore made headlines last week for the wrong reasons with his Twitter outburst after
inexplicably showing up late to a match. This saw the striker, who is on his fourth club in fifteen
months, suspended.
Altidore's skill set may be impressive but his body of work both at the club level and as an
international is hardly Premiership caliber, at this point.
Cristiano Ronaldo takes his football seriously. How do I know this? Because he is one of the
best footballers in the entire world. So when you are one of the best you don't want anyone to
challenge your dedication to your craft, right? Well Cristiano Ronaldo is no different then
anyone.
A Mexican footballer was forced to issue an apology after he pretended to give an opponent swine
flu, by coughing in his face, during a Copa Libertadores match last week.
Chivas Guadalajara defender Hector Reynoso went up to Sebastian Penco, who was playing for
Chilean side Everton, and coughed directly in his face without covering his mouth.
His team lost Champions League semis to Red Devils and when you would expect
Nicklas and all of other Gunners to go to bed and cry themselves to sleep, young Dane had a
different idea how to get over the big loss.
In the early hours of Wednesday morning after the aggregate 4-1 loss to reigning European
Champions, Manchester United, Nicklas Bendtner was photographed being
forced out from a London nightclub.
First, an apology. I was selfish. I took the news that the USA-Mexico World Cup qualifier taking
place August 12th in Mexico City would not be on a widely-available English-language outlet with...
Former Arsenal man has no class whatsoever.
Emmanuel Adebayor has apologised for baiting Arsenal fans after scoring in Manchester
City's 4-2 win at Eastlands.
The former Gunners striker, who joined City in the summer, ran the length of the pitch to
celebrate in front of visiting fans, who reacted furiously.
He's a hard-working guy who wants the best for soccer, and I didn't handle the whole situation
very well at all. So I offer a complete and utter retraction and apology for not handling the
situation better and for calling him a no-talent hack. He could have been more thorough, but I
could have been less of a jerk.
Jozy Altidore's days at Hull City could be numbered, and his chances for playing time in the
immediate future seem remote, after he became the latest athlete to get in trouble for posting
something revealing via Twitter.
Altidore is being issued an undisclosed fine by Hull for tweeting an apology after arriving
late to the club's match vs.

It goes without saying that we completely understand the (somewhat unhealthy) craving of owning
a glam and blinding engagement ring from the footballing man of your dreams. Having a high cash
value prize to sport on your finger is a lovely way to seperate yourself from those that have to
work for a living or clean their own houses.
The Norwegians are not taking this too kindly.
Today, Drogba's apology was posted on the Chelsea website.
"I was very upset at what happened during the game, but having seen the pictures on TV I accept
that I overreacted."
Good for him.
Ovrebo had to be smuggled out of England, switching hotels.
Today the club confronted the issue of the co-host of a mysteriously popular U.S. radio show
that, on numerous occasions, stated factually incorrect information regarding the Hillsborough
tragedy and the club's efforts to find justice for the 96 (here and here). It's been quite the
firestorm over at EPL Talk in recent weeks, and until Monday there had been no apology.
We at the YNT Blog have an apology to make. It seems that in assuming the owner of this wonderful
truck was a man, we made incorrectly stereotyped its owner. As it turns out, it's a woman who
proudly flaunts her love for the Italian club, and we caught up with Holly to find out the reason
behind her vehicular decoration:
YNT Blog: So why did you decide to show that much support on your truck?
It's here. 2 weeks without any Arsenal. Normally I'd say this is a good chance for our players
to get healthy, but so many of our players (even players who are injured, like Cesc and Rosicky)
are playing for their national teams that we'll probably be more banged up in 2 weeks than are at
the moment.

Emmanuel Adebayor Manages to Muck Up Apology!
For as much verbal abuse referees must hear everyday of their lives (only a mild exaggeration)
and as inhumanly impervious they often seem, we can't forget that they too have their breaking
points.
Swiss fans maxed out referee Massimo Busacca's annoyance meter with their insults during cup
match between third division FC Baden and first division Young Boys on Saturday, causing Busacca to
give them a one finger salute during the match.
If it's not Barcelona star Xavi claiming he decides when he plays or doesn't, it's Napoli
midfielder Marek Hamsik (the crazy looking guy above) saying he can drive whatever speed he wants
and not get a ticket.
"In Naples I can drive over 140 km/hour, but the police will not punish me because they
all recognise me," he was quoted as saying by the newspaper Pravda.
Sam Allardyce has responded to reported comments from Wigan boss Roberto Martinez made earlier
this week. The Spanish manager made claims that there is a "Sir Alex Ferguson fan club" amongst
Premiership manager ranks, and he went on to say that Sam Allardyce is a key member of the fan club
as he seeks to replace the Scot at Old Trafford.
600 travelling fans get their money back Struggling Bundesliga side Energie Cottbus have offered to
refund the tickets of 600 fans who travelled to watch their abject display against Schalke. The
club has issued an apology on its website and called the 4-0 defeat a "pitiful performance". As you
can see above, Energie released a statement headed [.
First, an apology for my absence over the past few days - I've spent most of them drowsy and out
of it thanks to some medication designed to get rid of my chicken pox. Yes, you heard me right -
chicken pox. And no, I'm not a child, so it is particularly unpleasant.
But on to cheerier things, and a quick recap of the past few days.
Cohen admits to murderers chant Cohen admits to murderers chant
In admitting on World Soccer Daily that he sang "murderers" about Liverpool fans (a chant
about Heysel, not Hillsborough, btw), Cohen revealed his true colours.
