Here we are again, speculating over Manchester Uniteds 2010-2011 kit. Every year United is one
of the last teams to unveil its kits. Barcelona, Celtic, and Inter Milan have all unveiled
theirs, just to name a few Nike teams. Adidas teams include Chelsea, Bayern Munich, and Liverpool
who have unveiled next seasons kits.
So I remember a couple years ago when AIG replaced Vodaphone, that it was declared the most
lucrative shit sponsorship in football history. I remember thinking that it all must have been a
part of the soon-to-blow bubble, and that there would be nothing else to come close to that, but
wait. New shirt sponsor Aon to take over for 20 million a season.

You're looking at Manchester United's new home shirt, complete with new
sponsor's logo.
First thoughts? It reminds me a lot of the kits worn by United in the late 1970s/early 80s,
which is exactly what the designers intended.
The news is not confirmed yet, but it seems that these two kits, one for home and one for away,
will be the new kits for Manchester United next season, a kit which somewhat resembles that of the
early 80′s (without the AON logo of course replacing AIG). Confirmation will be made may be [...]
Hey everyone, it's 1980 again! Everyone be sure to invest in Apple and IBM... and avoid New Coke
at all costs...
Seriously, this was the home jersey in 1980. Add a new corporate logo and change the kit sponsor
from Adidas to Nike, and there's really not that big of a difference.
Now, there's a distinct possibility that I'm going to do the exact same thing I did with last
year's kit (dislike initially, grow to strongly dislike, slowly soften stance, begin to appreciate
it, and, ultimately, buy a bootleg design from Turkey).

The relationship between major brands and football is now firmly established. Brands crave the

sponsor them.
A sneak peak as to what United's jersey may look like next year with their new sponsors Aon
Manchester United's new sponsors Aon have agreed to pay £80 million over four years making it
one of the most lucrative shirt sponsors in history. This new shirt sponsorship has recently been
tied with Liverpool's new shirt sponsorship ending their almost 20 year sponsorship with
Carlsberg.
A new photograph of Manchester United's away jersey for the 2010-11 season has been leaked on
the Internet.
The new design, which looks much better in this picture than the close-up photo, features a
white shirt with black and red trim. Designed and manufactured by Nike, and sponsored by Aon, the
new shirt will be worn for the first time during Manchester United's summer tour of North
America.
The Glazer family face a new battle with Manchester United supporters following a warning that fans
are preparing to snub the club's new Aon-branded shirt which will be launched in the United States
this week.
Later today, Manchester United will unveil their new shirt in Niketown, Chicago, with local
company Aon's name splashed across the front of it. Well, I say local, but Aon are local to Chicago
only in the sense that their headquarters are perched in the 1,136 foot tall Aon Center skyscraper
a few hundred feet from Chicago's lakefront, in what was once the world's fourth tallest
building.
I love when clubs come out with their 3rd jersey, European jersey or extra away jersey!
The new away kit for 2010/11 combines club history with new age technology as every
shirt will be made entirely from recycled polyester, from up to eight plastic water bottles, as
part of Nike's ‘Considered Design' programme.
At half-time at the Manchester United Liverpool game on Sunday, Aon (United's new shirt
sponsors) will be hosting a charity event on the pitch.
Five children from the Manchester United Soccer Schools will each take one shot at a goal from a
place on the pitch between the penalty spot and the six-yard box (there will be a hole in the "o"
in an Aon banner at the East stand goal for them to shoot through).

In a survey published by the respected American business website Forbes.com/soccer, the

A couple of weeks ago I gave readers of RoM the opportunity to pose questions for an Aon
representative. Whilst wanting to get in to the nitty gritty, I was also mindful that any sponsor
will be wary of what they can say about our owners. The fans want the Glazers out of the club and
have made the club sponsors a target for boycott, putting pressure on them to pull out of deals
with Manchester United, to encourage the Glazers to go, or face the negative reactions from reds
towards them.

Since the Glazers bought our club, the fans have been posed with all sorts of dilemmas. Should I
renew my season ticket? Should I still go to the ground? Should I buy a beer and programme when I
get there? Should I wear the latest shirt? Should I watch FC United instead? It goes on and on.
I have renewed my season ticket for next season.
New Manchester United Home Kit 2010/2011 is a post from: Just Football
Launched today, here is the new Manchester United home kit for the 2010/2011
season. The kit was subject to a lot of rumour and speculation, with whispers of leaks and
dodgy photos from random dressing room cupboards doing the rounds for a while, but here is the
official kit as unveiled on United's official website today.
This reporter was surprised to turn around and find two of Manchester United's most cherished
players behind her as she chatted with a friendly Nike representative, but pressing her as well was
the bag that Berbatov is carrying.
Is this a dopp kit dear readers? This is our best bet. We just aren't going to declare it a man
bag, or a man purse, or anything of the sort.
Forbes' inaugural SportsMoney 50-50 standings (a system used to rank the 50 most
valuable teams and the 50 most valuable athletes across the whole of world sport) were announced
yesterday and, although the 'teams' segment is predominantly populated by American sports
franchises, sitting pretty in the top spot is Premier League outfit Manchester
United.

Premier League football clubs have negotiated a world record level of shirt sponsorship for the new
season of almost £100m, a study suggests. The combined value of deals across the 20 top flight
clubs is £99.75m, up from £71.8m last season, according to research from Sporting Intelligence.
A new study has revealed that the English Premier League (EPL), boosted by recent landmark deals
secured by Liverpool and Manchester United, has achieved a world record level of shirt sponsorship,
comprehensively overtaking all existing professional soccer competitions.
The 2010/11 Premier League season's revenue from shirt sponsorship totals US$155 million, of which
Liverpool contributes the most.

Manchester United takes the field today against newly promoted Newcastle United and they should be
in their new 2010/2011 home kit (pictured). There are two things you will notice immediately
about this new jersey. The first is that there is a new sponsor on board. Aon replaced AIG on
United's shirts this season in what is the first of a four year deal.
Manchester United kick off the new football season with a home game against the newly-promoted
Newcastle United (welcome back, Geordies).
Here's a look back at a largely successful pre-season, which saw United launch their shirt
sponsorship with Aon, play (and win) pre-season matches across North America and get valuable match
practice under the belts of the squad players.
If you're one of those who still regularly attends United home games then you will have almost
certainly have already heard about "Old Shirts Day". So what's it all about then? Well, it's quite
simple. The idea is fans can show their support for the anti Glazer campaign by donning your pre
AIG, AON, United shirts in protest against the debt laden regime.
Manchester United's new shirt sponsors, Aon, will be hosting a charity event at half-time this
weekend against Liverpool. There will be an Aon sign in front of the goal with a hole in place of
the 'O'. Kids from United's soccer school will get a chance to score and £2k will be donated to
the Manchester United Foundation for every goal scored.
Manchester United vs Liverpool. Aon vs Standard Chartered. Nike vs Adidas. The warm, sticky
smell of testosterone and hubris hangs large in the air this afternoon for this match, but all is
not well at either Old Trafford or Anfield. Manchester United are still unbeaten since the start of
the season, but they are a curiously unsatisfactory team this season so far.
