Will It Be Fame Or Fortune, Robin? by AM Arsenal's captain Robin Van Persie is due to receive a
financial offer like none other, one that not many may be able to refuse, as Russian side Anzhi
Makhachkala's coach Guus Hiddink is looking to bring him to Russia. Robin has one year left of
contract [...]
Instead of scantily clad females shaking it solely for the money, this rap video has a bunch of
professional athletes in shirts...for which they shake it solely for the money. It all comes full
circle eventually.
The chap in the shades half the size of his head is Timora, rapper and big fan for Anzhi
Makhachkala.
A recap of La Liga, Man City drops points at home, Russian side Anzhi's ambitious plans to
splash money in the summer transfer window, and much more lead today's top stories. Links for all

On the day Lionel Messi can claim Barcelona's club record for goals soak that in for a moment;
he's 24 France Football released another reason for him to celebrate.
Dude's filthy rich.
On the annual list of football's wealthiest, Lionel came tops again, raking in €33m for wages,
sponsorships and being the best football player on the planet in general.
This is pretty tragic, more so because it's neither surprising nor uncommon in the Russian
Premier League. In fact, one fan was recently acquitted of racial abuse for throwing a banana at
Roberto Carlos because he'd simply chucked it out of anger. Mmhmm.
Christopher Samba, new to Anzhi in the last month, received a rude welcome to go with the boffer
pay packet they're handing out in Dagestan these days.

As we mentioned yesterday, Anzhi's Chris Samba was given the Russian Banana
Salute at the weekend when some dingbat hurled one at him from the Lokomotiv Moscow VIP
area this being the very footage that led Lokomotiv president Olga Smorodskaya to proclaim that
'nothing happened' and that the whole thing was a 'surreptitious set-up' to drag her club through
the mud.
Ever since Brazilian World Cup winner Roberto Carlos crossed over to
Russia to take over the dubious Anzhi 101 project, everyone
seemingly forgot him. So it's sad that Carlos who is now a manager alongside head trainer
Guus Hiddink had to force his way into the Spanish press again in order to stay
relevant.
Watch out guys, there's a revolution coming up in Russian football! That's if
you comrades fully trust in Anzhi coach Guus Hiddink who picked up a cool
€50,000 bonus when his team defeated Dynamo Moscow in the opening game of the
Russian league yesterday.
There's a slim chance Carlos Tevez (in sparkier times above) will be joining
Samuel Eto'o's Russian playground, Anzhi, before the transfer
window closes at 12am tonight. But don't bank on it chicos! Milan, PSG and
Inter all held discussions with him in the past months and everyone basically snapped
their fingers and said "NO", except for Anzhi who're apparently willing to pay £15m for him.
There are many critics who love bickering about the downward spiral of Italian
football but at least they have the equivalent of a glamorous Oscar
night! Finally, Zlatan Ibrahimovic silenced his entire phone-book of haters last
night and won the title of Serie A's 'Best Player in 2011′ while Edison Cavani's
Udinese were announced 'Best Club'.
The Sport-Express newspaper is reporting that Russian money bags Anzhi Makhachkala are targetting
Gunners boss Arsene Wenger as a potential candidate for the vacant hot-seat at the Dinamo Stadium.
After taking over Arsenal way back in 1996, the Frenchman has won 3 premier league titles, 4 FA
Cups and has gifted us with the beautiful, [.
It was reported last week that the Russian moneybags Anzhi Makhachkala were keen on rescuing the
Arsenal defender Sebastien Squillaci from his nightmare scenario at the Emirates, and Arsene Wenger
will be pleased to know that the Spanish side Espanyol are also interested in the ex-French
international.

Despite everything Soccernomics preaches, Turkey's path to becoming a footballing
superpower has hit yet another bump in the road. The nation failed to qualify for EURO 2012, and
via the transitive property this means Guus Hiddink's time is up as manager.
Samuel Eto'o has continued to hint that his long-term future lies way from the Russian league,
implying that he might end up at Chelsea in the coming years.
Eto'o was rising to prominence at Mallorca when then-Blues boss Claudio Ranieri attempted to
bring the striker to Stamford Bridge.
However, the Cameroon international opted to join Barcelona in 2004 and went on to enjoy five
great years in Catalunya before moving on to another two successful seasons at Inter.
So the Italian press, including La Gazetta dello Sport (who published
this photo of Samuel Eto'o in his Ferrari... oooh!) are all rubbing their hands over the
prospect of the striker returning to Milan for a brief spell. Well, obviously he's not going to
ditch his lavish private jet and everything that comes with playing for Russian
Cha-cha-millionaires Anzhi in exchange for dreary, boring mozzarella
cheese (kkk, quite the contrary actually).
The newly-rich Russian side mean serious business, and it seems they are going to rival Man City's
spending to get a host of superstars to move to the Russian League, and are aiming to challenge for
the Champions League in the near future. Roberto Carlos was the first big arrival at the club, and
this [.
We all know that money talks in football, just look at Chelsea and Manchester City for example, but
one club in Europe is going all out to top the lot and that is Russian Premier League side Anzhi
Makhachkala, and yesterday it was announced that Robin van Persie is on their shopping list. There
has [.
Follow the money.
It's a solid rule in sport, whether in prognosticating, betting or choosing one's career path.
It also remains true for intriguing storylines.
Anzhi's got some money. They've got some story lines, too like the fact they just named Roberto
Carlos player-coach. (In the interim, anyway.

Samuel Eto'o è sempre più lontano da Milano e dall'Inter. E sempre più vicino all'Anzhi
Makhachkala (club della capitale del Dagestan), che sembra aver convinto patron Moratti a suon di

proprio dalla lontana Russia dove si parla gi [.

"AWWWWWWWWWWWWW YEEEEEEEEEAAAAAAAAHHHH!!!"
As you may or may not be aware, Samuel Eto'o is on the brink of signing for Russian club Anzhi
Makhachkala (they who currently employ Roberto Carlos and force all their new signings don
'traditional' sheepskin carpets and hats), with Massimo Morratti, several Inter execs and the
player's agent all confirming that the move is nearing it's completion over the course of the past
couple of days.

The cash-rich Anzhi Makhachkala are reportedly close to sealing a deal for the Chelsea left-winger

a regular place in the team. The Russian billionaire Suleyman Kerimov is aiming to make Anzhi into
the biggest club in Russia and Zhirkov [.
Roberto Carlos is being handsomely compensated for his retirement tour stop in the Russian
Premier League believed to be €5m per year over the course of two years. Of course he's also
paying a huge price in the process, having to put up with some standard racism in the form of fruit
one tosses in their morning's cereal.
Not many Arsenal fans will have heard of the Russian side Anzhi Makhachkala, who came 10th in the
Russian Premier League last season, but since being taken over by the billionare Suleyman Kerimov
in January this year, they have become contenders for the title. It is being reported by
Sport-Express today that Kerimov has decided [.
RIO DE JANEIRO, Brazil Roberto Carlos, Brazil's former World Cup-winning left back, joined Russian
soccer club Anzhi Makhachkala after leaving Corinthians by mutual consent. The 37-year-old signed a
2 1/2-year contract, Anzhi Makhachkala said on its website last night, without giving financial
details of the deal.
