Juventus are champions of Italy for the first time since the Calciopoli scandal. They beat
Cagliari 2-0 in Trieste with a Vucinic strike and an own-goal by Canini to get the party started a
week before the end of the season. It is Juventus's 28th league title, (30th according to some of
their fans who still count the two Scudettos struck off for the Caciopoli scandal).
The big names continue to be implicated in the latest alleged match-fixing scandal in Italy.
Fresh off guiding Juventus to an undefeated season, coach Antonio Conte is now reportedly under
investigation for wrongdoing while he was in charge of Siena in 2010-2011. Conte denied all
allegations in comments made to the Associated Press, saying, "My story speaks clearly for
itself.
Italian football has entered the doldrums again, and this time, it
involves some 52 players from Serie B who turned up at Day One of the corruption
trial in Rome yesterday. On a wider scale, 22 football clubs, including newly-promoted sides
Atalanta, Siena and Novara are currently being investigated for their alleged involvement in a
worldwide player betting ring.
AC Milan midfielder Alberto Aquilani has insisted that he holds no ill feeling towards Juventus
despite not being offered a permanent deal at the Turin club after a season-long spell with the
side last season.
The Italy international could have joined Antonio Conte's side at the end of his temporary stay,
yet the club did not take up the option to sign him on a permanent deal, resulting in the former
Roma man signing for Massimiliano Allegri's men for the 2011-12 campaign.

Antonio Conte has been the driving force of the Juventus revolution with his aggressive 4-3-3
formation. Essential to the attack are the wingers as not only do they offer more of a threat in
the attack, they offer support for the striker as well as take attention away from the middle.
Conte inherited one of his wingers in the form of Simone Pepe, but the other wing was left vacant.

Juventus will be at home for the first time in 2012 on Sunday when they welcome Cagliari to the
Juventus Stadium. Starting the New Year off with more of a whimper than a bang, Juve did manage to
take home the three points from Lecce even if it was a struggle. As Antonio Conte stated
afterwards, they will look to build from that match and improve their performance.
Liverpool have been offered Serbia winger Milos Krasic by Juventus.
Krasic is not wanted by new Juve coach Antonio Conte and the Serie A giants have approached
Liverpool because ex-boss Rafa Benitez showed interest in him.
Juventus have told the Reds they can have Krasic for the £12million they paid CSKA Moscow for him
in 2010.

The noted rent-a-quote astronomer Carl Sagan once said: "If you wish to make an apple pie from
scratch, you must first invent the universe." After roughly 19 weeks of the 2011-12 Serie A season,
I think that we all can be in agreement that Antonio Conte makes the best apple pies from
scratch.
With 41 points from the first 19 matches of the Serie A season, Juventus finds itself with the
symbolic label of ‘winter champions' for the first time in six long years. Much of that is down
to new manager Antonio Conte (the players themselves have helped a bit as well). The influence of
the one-time Juventus captain has been well documented throughout the season.

Juventus were crowned Serie A Winter Champions after one of their most controlled performances of
the season on Saturday night. Atalanta have proven to be tough opposition for any team, especially
at home where their only defeat prior was to champions Milan. But, the Bianconeri overcame early
frustration to eventually overcome the Nerazzurri with relative ease.
Juventus kept up their Serie A title push with a hard fought 2-1 win over title challengers Udinese
at the Juventus Arena thanks to a brace by Alessandro Matri. Alessandro Matri was the man of the
hour and having given the hosts a 42nd minute lead, the in-form striker then responded by shooting
Antonio Conte's [.
It has been an up and down season for Juventus striker Alessandro Matri. There have been times
where it seems that every time he touches the ball it ends up in the back of the net while at other
times there have long absences of his name on the score sheet. When he is hot, he has been praised
uncontrollably, even once being compared as the next David Trezeguet.
serata meneghina.
Juventus took an important step towards reaching the Coppa Italia final as a returning Martin
Caceres scored a brace to ensure a 2-1 semi-final first leg win over Milan at the Stadio Giuseppe
Meazza. Antonio Conte made changes as noted in the pre-match press conference, with Marco Storari,
Caceres, Simone Padoin, Alessandro Del Piero and Marco Borriello all starting in the 3-5-2
formation.
Milan and Juventus are currently the top two teams in the Italian league with the Rossoneri
ahead by two points but the Serie A champions have played two more matches than their rivals
Juventus. Juve's positive run, the club is undefeated this season in official play, is due to a
number of factors such as a solid defensive record and a midfield marshaled by veteran Andrea Pirlo
with the aid of Claudio Marchisio and Arturo Vidal.
Juventus have scored 29 goals in 18 league matches which is not very impressive but by no means
is it a disastrous figure considering only two clubs in Serie A have scored more: Milan and
Napoli.
The figures do not lie and a closer look reveals the Bianconeri have scored 10 goals in 3
matches meaning the club managed only 19 goals in the other 15 games.
Did Juventus throw away the title by drawing 0-0 in Parma after the scorless home draw with
Siena? The Bianconeri continue to struggle in front of goal at an alarming pace which could cost
coach Antonio Conte and his players the dream of winning the Serie A title. There are a number of
factors but below is a list of some of the major concerns which were on display against Parma:
1) Vucinic: For the umpteenth time summer signing Mirko Vucinic failed to score
while making wrong decisions or rushing his shots.
Saturday evening will be a strange one for Andrea Pirlo. This time last season he had fallen out of
favor with his manager as his Milan teammates charged through Serie A en route to their 18th
scudetto. Twelve months later he has become an integral part in orchestrating Juventus' offense as
they make their own charge for the league title.
Italian giants AC Milan and Juventus played out a controversial 1-1 draw at the San Siro
yesterday to maintain their respective positions in the Serie A table. The draw leaves on 51 points
one ahead of Juventus who have a game in hand.
Traditionally considered as one of the biggest matches in Italy and Europe, a Milan-Juve fixture
is never short of thrilling and entertaining football.
It would suck to be Claudio Ranieri right now, especially after Inter's 0-1 loss
to Napoli last night, which handed the poor Nerazzuris their seventh lost in eight games.
It could've been a draw if Pazzini hadn't missed his chance three minutes from the
final whistle!
Juventus escaped with a 1-1 draw yet the performance at the San Siro left a lot to be desired.
The Bianconeri looked out of sorts and lacked composure during the first 45 minutes against the
hosts. Juve only took charge once Milan's players appeared to slow down and suffer from fatigue.
Without taking away credit from the Rossoneri who were in control for around 60 minutes, Juve
lacked energy early on and were undone by Leonardo Bonucci's mistakes which allowed Antonio
Nocerino to strike first.
Juventus squander the chance to move back top of the Serie A after playing out a 1-1 draw with
Bologna yesterday. This is the third consecutive 1-1 draw the Bianconeri have scraped up since
their win over Catania 2 weeks ago.
The result means that Juventus remain second in the Serie A on 52 points, two behind Milan.
Juventus missed the chance to join Milan at the top of Serie A after being held to a 1-1 draw by
Bologna at the Stadio Renato Dall'Ara on Wednesday. Juve went in to this rescheduled clash having
drawn the past two matches and Antonio Conte surprisingly started Marco Borriello in a trident
attack with Mirko Vucinic and the returning Simone Pepe.

There's something about Ibrahimovic and Robinho
high-fiving one another that speedily conjures up the Batman and Robin
theme song. Sure, you're now desperately trying to force images of Ibrahimovic in
spandex and a cape out of your minds (your welcome) but despite all his individualistic
glory, Ibra has thankfully, remembered that his superb goal in the 65th minute was
only possible through his teammates, Robinho and Urby.
Pressure is mounting on Inter Milan coach Claudio Ranieri after his side squandered the chance
to bag all three points at home against Atalanta yesterday. Diego Milito's missed penalty and a
lackluster performance from the entire team highlighted another poor outing for the Nerazzuri.
Inter's barren draw further complicates things for them as they not only are out of the running
for a Champions League spot, but they are also in danger of missing out on a Europa League
slot.
Tuesday night's Coppa Italia match between Milan and Juventus was a fantastic advert for the
Italian game. This season's two best teams by some distance, eights point to be exact, played out
an entertaining draw at Juventus's new and impressive stadium. There were goals, two splendid ones
at that, and the two strongest sets of players in the Serie A on display.
TweetJuventus kept the pressue up on leaders AC Milan at the top of Serie A after a well deserved
2-0 win over struggling Inter Milan. The win was a perfect response for Antonio Conte's men who had
albeit temporarily fallen 7 points behind leaders AC Milan after the Rossoneri grabbed a 2-1 win
over Roma [.

The already-intense rivalry between Juventus and Napoli takes on added significance this weekend
as both teams are in desperate need of a win.
Juventus, while still unbeaten, are four points behind AC Milan in the race for the
Scudetto.
The best part about being away from your feeder club (i.e. AS Roma's Bojan) is
the inevitable fact that you become its Ambassador! When Bojan scored in the 62nd
minute of Roma's 5-2 victory over Novara yesterday, he lifted his shirt to reveal this message :
"All the strength of this goal is for Abi" (Eric Abidal).
Milan only managed a point after a 1-1 draw at Catania but the Rossoneri remain on top of the
league standings by two points despite Juventus recording an impressive 3-0 win over Napoli.
On Paper, Milan's schedule is much easier due to two main reasons- the Rossoneri will play 6 of
their final 8 matches at the San Siro, including the away clash against city rivals Inter, and have
no matches left against top 5 sides.
Juventus moved to within 2 points of Serie A leaders AC Milan after a comfortable 3-0 win over
Napoli at the Juventus Arena last night. The win ensures Juventus maintains their unbeaten streak
in the league with only handful of matches left.
A proud Antonio Conte praised his team for their performance saying that the result had given
them hope of winning their first league title since the infamous calciopoli scandal.
