His eminence Mario Balotelli has been speaking to the plebs and mere mortals
again, telling all and sundry that he wants to sign for AC Milan at some point in the near
future...again.
Speaking to Italian rag Extra Time, Balotelli said:
"Do I envy (Antonio) Cassano for going to AC Milan?
As it stands Milan have six strikers for next season: Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Robinho, Pato, Fillippo
Inzaghi, Alberto Paloschi and Antonio Cassano. Yet, the club still seem to be shopping for another
one with the likes of Miroslav Klose, FC Porto's Hulk and as ever Manchester City's Mario Balotelli
all being linked to the club.

For the record, we're not talking 'blessed with a gift from the gods' special here, we're
talking 'eating the crayons again' special...
Adam Johnson, England: Thumbs up if you're enjoying

Dieter Hecking, Nuremburg: Looks like the kind of chap that doesn't have to pay

As Massimiliano Allegri's Milan captured lo Scudetto, it was certainly very different to the last
Rossoneri side to win the same title back in 2004. The current team is epitomised by new faces;
from the aggressive power of both Thiago Silva and Kevin-Prince Boateng, to the arrogant genius of
Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Antonio Cassano, there is a vibrant physical element that was never truly.
Dragging a beautiful bubba to a ball game is rapidly becoming a national sport in Italy. This
week's fixture within a fixture is Carolina Marcialis (Antonio Cassano) vs. Michela Quattrociocche
(Alberto Aquilani), and while we'd like to say that Carolina (l) is doing a better job of
rocking matching plaid with Christopher than many might, our eyes are still traumatised enough to
call this a win for Michela and Aurora (r).
Yes, it may have been "just a friendly," but anytime you can claim a victory over the reigning
world and European champions, it is something worthy of getting excited over. Italy's 2-1 win at
the Stadio San Nicola in Bari over Spain may not count in terms of any competition, but for new
coach Cesare Prandelli this win brings a smile to his face and hope to fans of the Azzurri.
The Time Is Napoli! Italy's two premier sides went head to head in the peninsula's showcase match
of Week 2. Both the Partenepoi and Rossoneri earned respectable draws against hotly fancied
opposition in Manchester City and Barcelona respectively midweek, were coming into the Sao Paolo
clash with injury concerns.
With a new year upon us, the January transfer window will be opening up soon. While normally we
don't see super-stars switch allegiances in this period, but 2011 could be different. The names of
Klose, Toni, Gilardino, and Kaka have been circulating, but can we really expect these players to
move in January?

The year has come to a close, and as is the fashion we're looking over our favorite stories to
compile a starting eleven, Cult Football style. The players on our squad aren't always the most
talented, but they tend to bring a joy, or promise, or general absurdity to the game. We hope
you've enjoyed the time you've spent with us over the last six months, and here's a wish of good
fortune to all in the new year!

In Italy's top league, you have to defend a little, no matter who you are. You have to run a
little, no matter who you are. Think about José Mourinho's Inter: they just won everything because
every player, even the most talented and offensive-minded ones such as Milito, Eto'o, and Sneijder,
put a fantastic attitude on and off the pitch.
Leonardo good off to a winning start in charge of Inter as Thiago Motta scored twice to help
Inter beat Napoli 3-1. in a 3-1 success against SSC Napoli in the final game of a full Epiphany
programme in Serie A.
Thiago Motta was the hero for the home side with the first and the last goal in a pulsating
game.
Cesare Prandelli has a big test coming up, when the Italian national team faces Germany in
Dortmund on February 8th. His list of 23 called up players features some new faces, along with a
few returning veterans. Yet the squad which has been called up is missing some important players
who are injured.

Pato scored twice as AC Milan increased their lead at the top of Serie A to five points with a
3-0 win against rivals Inter Milan, who played most of the second half with ten men following the
54th-minute dismissal of Cristian Chivu.
Victory would have taken Inter top, but they quickly fell behind when Pato pounced on a rebound
to drill home a low shot in the first minute.
Federico Macheda's agent, Giovanni Bia, has conceded that the player's loan spell has been an
unsuccessful one due to the pressure he was under.
When he joined the club on loan at the beginning of the year they were 8th, however, they have
felt the departure of Antonio Cassano, who left for AC Milan a month before Kiko's arrival.

Robbie Keane made history in the Republic of Ireland's 2-0 victory away at Macedonia on Saturday
after becoming the first player from his country to reach the 50 goal landmark. Keane scored both
goals and thus helped the Republic (Pld 6, Pts 13) top Group B on goals scored ahead of Russia and
Slovakia who also won their Matchday 6 games against Armenia and Andorra respectively.
Italy striker Antonio Cassano has emerged as a top priority target for Liverpool as Kenny Dalglish
looks to further improve his squad ahead of the new season, talkSPORT have claimed.
The Kop boss has already sealed a £20m deal for Sunderland midfielder Jordan Henderson and he
appears set to continue investing in the team.

the question(s) is, will Guiseppe Rossi show up in Italy at a club side this summer or are those
feet firmly planted in Spain? will Antonio Cassano find his scoring partner at Milan and in doing
so transfer that partnership to the national squad, if yes who will Mister X be? and will Andrea
Pirlo find rejuvenation at mighty Juventus during the 2011-2012 season as both club and player
look for a.
As I have mentioned before, this time of the year is a trying one as our emotions sway with every
new rumour that emerges. In the case of rumours linking Cesc Fabregas to a move to Milan, only
excitement tinged with a slight anxiety is felt. Conversely, talk of Amauri being signed by the
club [...]
guest writer/Frank Tigani This week the Azzurri recorded a highly impressive victory over reigning
World and European Champions Spain. Sure, it may have just been a friendly, however, considering
the strength of the two line ups it was clear that neither Cesare Prandelli nor Vicente del Bosque
took to the contest lightly.
Last week Italy triumphed in impressive fashion over reigning European and World Champions Spain.
The match was played in Bari and amongst the stars for the Azzurri, two players stood out. Riccardo
Montolivo enjoyed his best evening in blue as he displayed his creative instincts throughout the
contest in addition to scoring a delightful goal.
AC Milan faced juventus and Inter Milan tonight in Bari and unfortunately the red and blacks did
not have victory over them. Antonio Cassano scored a goal for Milan but a late goal from Alessandro
Matri saw the Bianconeri win the first 45 minutes match by two goals to one. AC Milan later faced
Inter [.
The new Serie A season is nigh. That is, if the current tensions between the player's union and the
league's governing body do not end in a stalemate. This could prevent the start of the action like
it did in Spain. For the Rossoneri, it is perhaps not all such a bad thing if the [...]
After last Wednesday came to an end and no big signing was announced, I must admit I was
disappointed. Like last year when the club landed two great players late in the transfer window I
was hopeful the club would do so again. Far from arbitrary, the promises of the fabled Mr. X gave
my [...]
After last night's draw with Udinese, Milan remain winless after three rounds played which makes it
official: this is the club's worst start to a season since 1997. Back then, the Rossoneri failed to
beat Piacenza in their opening game, only managing a draw. Then against Lazio they were denied by a
late Giuseppe Signori [.
If ever anyone needed convincing that a football match is divided into two 45 minutes games, this
is the one you would sit them down to watch. An incredible rollercoaster ride it was for us fans
whilst for neutrals it would have been first class entertainment. So often maligned for being
defensive and boring, this [.
Serie A returned with a bang at the weekend with some fantastic action. This week we got goals and
more goals which included seven goals between Lecce and AC Milan. Udinese finished on top of the
pile after a brilliant 3-0 over Novara. Here are the five top goals of the week 5. Alessandro Matri
Juventus – Genoa This was Alessandro Matri 2nd goal of the game and it was a brilliant goal.

As D.C. United continues its quest to find a new stadium location, MLS continues its exploration
into whether Baltimore is a viable market for league expansion.
The league sent out a survey to fans in the Baltimore area in an effort to gauge interest in an
MLS franchise in the city.
Bad news for Italy's coach Cesare Prandelli, as one of his most talented forward could miss Euro
2012, on the next June. Antonio Cassano has suffered a small ischaemia after the winning of AC
Milan against Roma last saturday. When it happened the player was with his teamates on the
airplane, coming bacfrom Rome to Milan.
The Azzurri qualified to Euro 2012 without being tested as coach Cesare Prandelli attempted to
build the national team around younger and talented players such as Mario Balotelli and Giuseppe
Rossi. Various niggling injuries and a plethora of ridiculous antics performed by Balotelli meant
that Prandelli was not able to rely heavily on the controversial Manchester City attacker.
Football transfer rumours: Didier Drogba to Milan?
Today's Mill can see the wood for the poppies The Mill is no fan of international breaks, never
has been, never will. Out goes this country's love of all things domestic, most notably transfer
tittle-tattle, and in comes a whole load of patriotic piffle and posturing, three lions this, three
lions that.
Seeking for more playing time in order to improve his personal qualities, Manchester United's
youngster, Federico Macheda, looks set to leave the club as his agent has already confirmed the
possibility and according to the rumors it looks like the player is indeed heading back to
Italy.
The latest reports even claims that Macheda is set to face a new experience with Sampdoria for
the next 6 months.
Antonio Cassano made his debut for AC Milan in a friendly against Al Ahli which they won, 2-1.
No goalscoring spectaculars but some useful work down the wings for the former Sampdoria
player.
Cassano had a very public falling out with Riccardo Garrone, Sampodoria's president of Sampdoria
and his situation became untenable with the case going to arbitration.
