They may not be as ravenous as they were this time last year, but New Zealand is still hungry for
Brand Beckham. MLS Jesus and the rest of the Galaxy touched down in hobbit country this a.m. and
the now-customary throng of fans, reporters and requisite Maori's greeted them at the airport.
I imagine that I'm not the only one out there who hasn't thought to much about the state of New
Zealand soccer. What with Ryan Nelson, Simon Elliott and Simon Elliott's crap haircut having
departed for Jolly Olde, I think the only time I have given the Kiwi's any recent thought was when
the Bucks for Becks World Tour™ rolled through last November.
Dance + Rock + Aussies + Awesome = Cut Copy. They just announced a new U.S. tour for spring 09;
it's the final one for "In Ghost Colours" so don't sleep.

I know I've gone on & on about this band in the recent past so I'll spare you the deep dive today.
All I'll say is that Cut Copy's second album "In Ghost Colours" is all about the build
ups (as the video will attest to). Poppier than New Order and kitted out with all of the glow
sticks & whistles needed for a proper stadium house experience, if you have an irrational fear of
dancefloors this album may be the one to finally cure you of your affliction forever.
