I already have loads of respect for the Riot Squad because of the hospitality that they showed the
New York supporters at MLS Cup last year; anyone who treats me to tacos, beer and bike jousting
after such a crushing defeat are my people for life.

Is it only me or is the whole world against us?
Firstly, we have a list of injured players longer than my telephone bill. Then, Rafa has to be
contented with playing so-so players because of some friggin owners would not cough up the funds
needed for us to be real contenders for the PL. Then we have a game in which we dominate play for
such a long period and the bar stops the ball and the only time Pepe touches the ball is to collect
it from his net.

This week, our new tifo video series has shown displays from supporters in Australia, Northern
Ireland and Sweden.
Now we make a short hop to Belgium to take a look at supporters of KV Mechelen, a team who have
historically been close to becoming a dominant force in the Belgian league, but who have somehow
often fallen short.

Lucky you, it's a Hooky "twofer" today. Channelbee has the king of the low-slung bass and one of
the architects of the greatest World Cup anthem of all time spilling the beans on David Beckham's
aborted rap career. And if anyone have a bootleg mp3 of Paul Gascoigne's banned verse, I want in!

10 things I hate about Arsenal
OK, during this International break and before the news of goings on in the Boardroom, I thought
that I would have a light hearted rant. As Arsenal fans we are long suffering and this rant is
mainly aimed at those of us who attend the Emirates. I find myself incredibly frustrated at times
and I thought that I would share these with you.

His head may have been in Madrid but his heart was already in Liverpool.
Even though Fernando Torres didn't actually realise it, his fate was already sealed.
A flick of the arm, a fleeting connection with a defender jostling for the ball and the ripped
skipper's armband revealed his destiny.

Did you hear Colombia has cracked down on the rights of visiting fans in their league. No wearing
team shirts, carrying banners or club flags.
I guess too much violence caused the move, but I can't see it preventing further hooliganism.
Also, Muslims aren't too partial to a Schalke anthem and apparently enough outcry has forced the
team into considering some action.

Dunno how best to describe this. The first half was yawnsville, second half caught fire and how.
For the two bottom teams in the TPL both teams will probably be happy with the point and with all
and sundry blaming the ref I guess everyone goes home feeling dead chuffed.
Chula took the lead second half when the Pattaya keeper failed to hold a well struck shot from
outside the area by some geezer who may well have been Thai.

Cristiano Ronaldo was public enemy number one in the summer of 2006 following Wayne Rooney's
dismissal in the World Cup. Ronaldo was one of five Portuguese players surrounding the referee but
because he winked at the bench after Rooney had been sent off, the country blamed him for England's
World Cup exit.

Despite Argentina's 0-2 loss to Ecuador at Quito last night, The Dona insists

midfield? 1906: USA will be playing a 4-3-3, with Altidore and Torres in the lineup. Good to see
Torres there; his experience in situations like these will be important.

Ah The Champions League. That inescapable anthem. The meaningless group games. The same teams
each year - some of whom actually are indeed national champions. And money, everywhere. Advertising
money. TV money. Salaries. Transfer fees.

With this thick layer of cynicism building up around the Champions League I find it genuinely
refreshing to look forward to tonight's game.

"Ceux sont les meilleurs equips"
"Die Meister, die Besten, les meilleurs equipes, the champions."
What UEFA has tried to do in the infamous CL anthem played before European nights, during
European nights, and even during those new god-awful commercials played during half-time is instill
in all viewers the sense that the teams that participate in its glory competition, the UEFA
Champions League, are truly "die besten".

Damn y'all I don't know what it is but I'm tits-over-tail for this new Kings of Leon record. I
never liked their first two LP's of dirty Southern twang, and only thought their last record was

The coach wants it to be sung closer to kickoff and not as the players walk out.
"We thought it would keep the atmosphere right up until the kick-off and that way
the opposition is on the pitch when all the noise is in the ground."
He might have a good point, since there's a league anthem that has to be played before the match
and it often cuts into the Reds' fans rendition.

Rafael Benitez is hopeful a tactical switch off the field of play will help Liverpool generate an
atmosphere to send shivers down the spines of any side visiting Anfield this season.
The Reds boss believes the introduction of the Barclays Premier League anthem has curbed the impact
of the club's anthem 'You'll Never Walk Alone' and feels that asking fans to sing the famous song
just prior to kick-off will help give his side a psychological edge.

Following Chelskis example of introducing cheerleaders to Anfield Road is probably not the best way
to liven up the crowd. It's sad to say but Anfield Road can be disappointingly quiet at times, fans
clearly need no encouragement for the big games, but it's a very different story for the smaller
ones.
