If you have been to a Fire game in the past few years, you have probably heard the steady pulse
of the bass drum coming from Section 8. The man behind that beat is long time Chicago Fire fan DJ
Racis. DJ has been a dedicated part of Section 8 for almost a decade. Among many other things, he
is infamous for running for every Section 8 board position at the Annual General Meeting.
On a bright and sunny Saturday afternoon a contingent of Fire fans about 150 strong returned to
Toyota Park for the Section 8 Chicago Annual General Meeting (AGM). While the Men in Red themselves
were in Florida for pre-season, Section 8 along with many other Fire fans also began preparations
for the upcoming 2012 season.
Since 200% last cast a jaundiced eye over Port Vale, plenty has happened but little has changed.
Each week seems to have brought a new revelation of ill-behaviour from Vale's board (my forecast
that at least one director will come out as a woman trapped in a man's body hasn't happened...
yet). And fans have almost unanimously called for them to push off.
The NASL announced this morning that they have received full sanctioning from the United States
Soccer Federation at the organizations annual general meeting. The USSF National Council voted on
