There is a reason that we currently have the FA Cup's Facebook page on Just Football. Earlier today
I received exciting news from the Football Association that Just Football has been nominated best
football blog by fans of the FA Cup.
We're on a shortlist of six high quality football sites, and there is a pretty sizeable community
of fans on the FA Cup's Facebook page so it is a real honour to have been chosen by the FA as one
of the top football blogs around.

Face off!
First off allow me to begin the first Just Football post of 2010 by saying a 'Happy New Year' to
you all. Here's hoping your year has got off to an infinitely better start than Gary Megson's.
Now, the first issue that needs resolving on here is our Pichichi poll from the back end of last
year.
In case you're wondering why its all gone a bit quiet on here lately, there's a legitimate, simple
and really quite exciting explanation.
Big changes are on the way at Just Football. We can't wait to show you.
Stay tuned...
(In the meantime, how about that Champions League draw?
We've something very exciting to show you on the 29th.
Bookmark us, subscribe, follow us on Twitter or Facebook, or just remember the date.
We're back on Monday.
With more hype than a Ford Super Sunday, more fanfare than a football supporter at a theme park
and to the sound of more trumpets than a Miles Davis concert we welcome you to the new and improved
Just-Football.com.
The redesign has been a long time coming. Though the old style site was decent enough, there
were several features and functions it simply could not do, which eventually prompted us to make
the move to a new platform.
For me I think it was about a year ago. The Confederations Cup 2009 got underway in South
Africa, the negative press about safety, organisation and such subsided for a brief minute, and as
the mini-tournament began in Johannesburg with a game between South Africa and Iraq, and it was all
about the football again, it hit me.
...And then I booked my flight is a post from: Just Football
It was a Wednesday. The Copa del Rey final had just finished. Sevilla beat Atletico Madrid in a
pulsating game at Camp Nou in front of a packed crowd. I've always thought Atletico Madrid had
rowdy fans, though I've never seen them live.
NEW! The Just Football World Cup 2010 podcast #1 (on Italy, South Africa, Liverpool & more) is a
post from: Just Football
In football, there is no greater giver of life to new concepts, things, phenomena than the World
Cup. It is the grand stage, the platform on which the novel is unveiled and unleashed for the world
to see, to be talked about, celebrated and mimicked forevermore.
Your Editor, Elsewhere is a post from: Just Football
Just a couple of quick bits and bobs I haven't mentioned on here recently regarding your humble
editor, moi. About a month ago the lovely people over at FourFourTwo, one of the most
popular and prestigious football magazines in the world, invited me to join up with them to write a
regular blog on African football for the online portion of their wonderful magazine.
