Bob Jordan, over Glendale Soccer, has a nice write up on yesterday's anniversary of the first
official High School game played within the Springfield Public Schools between Glendale and the
Central Bulldogs. He's got details from the Springfield Daily News report of the game that day,
check it out.
Portsmouth will launch their new third shirt for the 2008/2009 season this Thursday, September 18.
The new kit is designed by Canterbury and features the same design as the away kit except that the
third kit is black with gold trim. The shirt celebrates Portsmouth's 110th anniversary as a
football club.
Today is of course the anniversary of 9/11. The FCD blog has some remembrances form players about
where they were that day, I found it an terrific read, Ellinger's is the most interesting. To play

It turns out I wasn't thinking yesterday. In my haste putting up that quick post about Carra, I
forgot that yesterday marked the second anniversary of this blog. Time flies when you're having
fun, I guess.
Yes, I'm amazed I've still got this thing going. But I'm even more amazed that more and more people
come to read, comment, and email me.
Derby County, currently propping up the Championship table with a solitary point from four games,
are fast approaching an unwanted anniversary...
